    58. Can you believe we've asked another 60+ PC questions this year? I'm a stallion season after season, hey?

You are a beast my dude. Doing it all on your own and you make it look easy.

    59. What are your thoughts on @TXC returning to the league?

The league isn’t the same without him so I am glad his absence was a small one.

    60. Have you listened to @st4rface's new song? What were your thoughts?

Honestly I have not. I thought it was a virus hahaha.

    61. The World Juniors for the VHL are coming up. Who are you rooting for and why?

Canada because my player is Canadian and I have some Canadian buddies on the team.

    62. What are your thoughts on the Bears season?

Underperformed. Nothing went right for us and that’s too bad. We did have a really talented squad.

    63. Biggest surprise this season?

Being eliminated by Chicago. Why did that happen?

Ernie King is asking to be traded IMMEDIATELY, and VHLM GMS COME WITH THE OFFERS , im obviously going to have one more season for sure in the M, The lifer is still a possibility , Ottawa didnt work out... So new chapter new begginings , new contract offers !

After Speaking with Ernies Agent, Bert had this to say " Ernie is going to be a 250 TPE by the start of the season , he has made it clear to me that his intention are to remain in the VHLM for atleast one more season and has always made it public his intentions of bringing back the "Lifer" to the VHLM and being the 1st since Bud Knight and King Kruul, Ernie has felt nothing but Disrespect from Prague with zero communication since our return to VHLM and other GMs were expressing interesting immediately, it is only fair to those GMs worthy of Ernest and his Passion"

Most likely not going to be at cap by the start of the season but who knows ... On his pace its not likely but Ernie is nothing but ordinary, Well there it is Draft week starts , but the Big News after the new VHLM GMs were hired Ernie is looking for Titles, Accolades , Hes been an assistant captain before in Philadelphia voted by his peer group and one of those votes came from none other than @dariusmarimotoman Giving Ernie the nod as a partner to the Reapers captains that season. Ernie is someone you cant miss , so dont miss your chance to sign this VHL story for the books

Greg Ernest got a reaction from Banackock in Ernie King , Asking Permission to Re-Enter S76 VHL Draft After being Released by Prague
Asked what the biggest adjustments and differences about the league that has changed since his departure two season ago...

“I think the size of the opposing players and the speed of the game have increased beyond the stars over the past two seasons with its obvious things you notice most,” said Ernie post game . “For the most part everyone does things at a much higher pace, and skill level than ever before and the competitive level is soaring through the ski so it’s a big change compared to what I was used to before.”

Despite being faced with the challenges of the unknown, Ernie King’s cool, calm and collected attitude tempers any fear or unrealistic expectations he could potentially place on himself since becoming a VHL draft pick. “I just try to keep my head clear,” he said. “Just keep my focus and remember that I can’t control what other players are doing or what they think about me, I can just control my game and how I’m preparing for the season. So I just focus on that.”

Greg Ernest reacted to Matt_O in TPE
I've seemingly completely run out of media spot ideas, so I've decided to come back to everyone favorite topic of discussion; TPE. Does TPE inflation exist? The answer to that question is obviously yes, and at this point it's hard to deny it. We just saw Ryan Kastelic a few seasons back hit the 2000 TPE mark. When I first joined the league towards the end of S63, the highest all time TPE earner was Gabriel McCallister, with 1613. Mats Johnsson overtook McCallister with 1674 not too long after that, so the highest TPE earner of all time up to when I joined was 1674 TPE. Not even a full player career later, we saw a 2000 TPE earner. How did so much extra TPE just appear so fast? Alex Pepper sits in 30th place all time with 1390 TPE. If you take that amount and rank him based on when I first joined, he jumps from 30th place all the way to 6th place. How did that big of a difference happen in such a short amount of time? I don't have an answer to that question, but TPE inflation is clearly real. However, the question isn't about whether it's real or not. The question is, is it even a problem?

People who believe TPE inflation is a problem likely believe that the VHL should implement some sort of player archetype system. To me, the most valid argument that says TPE inflation is a problem is that every player is pretty much the same. When you have enough TPE, why not max out everything you can? If you had less TPE, you would be forced to be more specialized, and maybe hit 99 in one, maybe two categories rather than four or five. If you are a forward that consistently hits the cap and take advantage of most uncapped TPE opportunities, you probably can get a 99 in defense, scoring, skating, and then your choice between puck handling or passing, but you can get both if you really grind for the TPE. Once you reach a certain TPE threshold, every player is practically the same. All the useful stats maxed out, all the useless ones not touched, and then strength and checking might have some TPE into it. This was a big reason why the idea of a new TPE scale was being tested out, but it quickly died alongside Higgins.

On the other side of the coin, people say TPE inflation doesn't matter. The most frequent argument I remember seeing was that the majority of VHL players were not reaching those absurd levels of TPE, and only the highest earners could reach it. They believed that the problem was only present in the few highest TPE players, and they deserve their TPE if they worked hard for it. While I am team TPE inflation is a problem, the idea that it isn't a problem since barely anyone actually reaches that TPE level is valid. I reached the cap nearly every single week and took advantage of nearly every single uncapped TPE chance I got, yet I never even came close to the levels of TPE that some players get. It never made sense to me. Where did these players get this TPE from? I remember writing a media spot a while ago examining how HHH was able to outgain me by 200 TPE in only ten weeks, and in order to actually make up that number I had to make some wild assumptions that definitely didn't happen. I had to say that he won every lottery, every fantasy, and got max offseason TPE gains, and if all that happened, then it would make sense. Obviously, that isn't what happened. How big of a problem is TPE inflation if someone who earns max nearly every week never comes close to reaching the point of having 'too much' TPE?

Both arguments have good points, but I believe that player diversity would be good. I'm not suggesting having archetypes, I actually am not a huge fan because it limits what you can do if you change your mind. I think we should try to change the TPE scale, since I believe it was a good idea at the time and it's something worth looking at again.

Ernie has spent three seasons in the VHLM and has played for three different VHLM teams... Thats an anomaly forsure Ernie started off his  VHLM career with a mission coming into Yukon. Ernie is without a doubt not the most skilled player in the league , but he may be the most hated. After signing as a waiver player with the Yukon Rush and played 41 games as a rookie. Ernie King , is a name that everyone in the VHL and VHLM know and theres a reason why , he is currently the "heavyweight Champion" according to recent Twitter Polls naming King the best fighter in the league, King also has thatsoring touch and soft hands making him the type of player who no one wants to see coming at them when they have the puck Although all the Playoff Games played , he seems to need the ability to really improve his game where it matters along the course of time making himself a consistent contributor .

REGULAR SEASON In a very limited 4th line role on a superstar team in Yukon Ernie picked up his first goal and a pair of assists finishing with a plus +/- rating Ernies Hits totals continue to climb , even in limited ice time he knows his role and how to be effective and make the best of his time on the ice using his strength and animosity . Going into his 3rd season after being drafted to the VHL Ernie has finally earned himself a spot on the top 6 and PP and PK and his point production has already doubled his career highs at just the half way point.
PLAYOFFS Ernie gained the most invaluable experience as a rookie getting to play in an extra 15 playoff games, he didnt manage to put up any points however the team knows hes always there Back to Back Playoff Finals appearances for King now with Mexico who spent a fair price to aquire Ernie and he was along for the 18 Game ride in the playoffs ending with a 2nd straight loss in the playoffs
    PROS AND CONS

PROS Ernie King has hands softer than melted butter with his mitts on and hands like nails when he drops them. He's built as a terryfying young man, has the ability to be an effective scorer and always wins board battles. With all of Ernies Playoff experiences have given him invaluable leadership skills and the ability to play in clutch moments .
CONS Some analysts like to call him Casper , Ernie can sometimes disapear on the ice and look lost when hes playing irrationally and head hunting. Consistency , one minute theres a flash of greatness and then it  might be weeks of mistake after mistake before we see another sprinkle

    Philadelphia Reapers S74 Season Preview

As season 74 of the VHLM begins, we asked Philadelphia Reaper GM Domini Maximus to discuss the Reaper roster for the upcoming season.

We’ll start with our two veteran players that remain from last season:

Darius Marimoto @dariusmarimotoman– A winger who plays hard both on offense and on defense. His strong frame allows him to throw his weight around and work himself into good position in front of goal. We’ve seen his skills grow considerably since last season and expect to see that growth increase or even accelerate this season. He displays natural leadership which has earned him the captain role for his 2nd straight season.

Carson Walkers @Cwalker – Our best waiver pickup last season, we were lucky enough to be able to pick him with our 2nd round pick in the draft this season. Carson has become more familiar with how hockey is played at this level and has really adapted him game to set himself up to succeed. He’s kind of a jack-of-all-trades on the ice, which means he likely will always have a place on any team’s roster. If he’s able to find a unique talent and harvest that, he could become a very special player.

Going into the draft, we only had a couple of picks. We were able to make some trades to land additional picks, which helped us fill out our roster with these draftees:

Shawn Andrei Zyuzin @TheLastOlympian07 – I’ll be honest, I’m absolutely shocked we were able to select a player from this historic agency in the 4th round. They go all the way back to the beginning of the league. That dedication shows in Zyuzin’s play and confidence. While Zyuzin may still be raw talent wise, his physical prowess is undeniable. He skates, hits, and plays with a ferocity unmatched by most. If he’s able to unlock some hockey talent, we could have an all-time great defenseman on our hands.

Thomas King @Duddy – Another player who comes from an agency ripe with history. They may have gone silent for a while, but they announced their return in style with Thomas. A supremely talented winger who is sublime in his movements on the ice. Of all the players on the Reapers, he can pull off the most jaw-dropping moves. Continual training and focus on his craft will surely lead to success in this season and future seasons.

Jacob Carson @jacobcarson877 – If there weren’t a surplus of goalies at the moment, there is no doubt in my mind that Jacob would have been a first round pick. Lucky for us, he was available in the late 4th round and we grabbed our goalie. At 6’6” Jacob has size every coach dreams of.  He may be lacking some experience, but he has all the opportunity in the world to work hard and make himself into an elite netminder.

Rantheman @Flyguy28 – The single name enigma surprised the world by declaring for the draft only a week or so before the draft. He’s a fast-skating, hard-hitting winger who makes his presence known out on the ice. The speed of the game may take some time for him to adjust to. But he has all the required tools to become a star in this league.

Breeze Ladrian @Kelsier – Breeze’s agency is known more for their role in the basketball community, but they’re smart enough to know they need a great player to make the jump into hockey. Breeze is exactly that great player. This kid was born with an elite level hockey sense. His knowledge of and feeling for the game are amazing. He seems to know where everyone is on the ice at all times. Add those smarts to his gargantuan frame and you have the makings for an unstoppable player. Sure his physical talent could use some improvement, but there’s no doubt Breeze is up to the task.

And then we had two great waiver/FA signings:

Liam Fischl @linsangeles – Another player from a historic agency based out of Latvia. After taking some time away from the VHL they announced their return with Liam Fischl, an extremely talented winger. With Fischl being so new we’re still getting a feel for his game and he’s getting a feel for the fast-paced life of professional hockey. We’re just as excited as all our fans to watch Fischl become a star of the league.

Richard Fitzwell @Tomato Soup– We’re so glad we were able to get Reaper fan favorite Fitzwell back into a Reaper jersey. This talented defenseman was the heart of Philly’s defense for multiple seasons and seeing him return after a couple of seasons away from the game is great. Based on initial inspection, he hasn’t missed a step. He came back and started performing at the same level he was at when he left.

We still have a couple of spots open to fill out the roster. We’ll continue to scour the waiver wires for new players looking to contribute to this organization. At the moment, this team may be young and may not match up to some of the top teams in the league, but watch out come the end of the season. By that time our roster will have had the necessary time to grow together and gel. I wouldn’t want to face us in the playoffs this season. If some of these players remain on the roster next season, watch out! We have a whole slew of picks for season 75. If we’re able to combine the talent of the current roster with our draft picks next season, we may be unstoppable. Even if we graduate all our players to the majors this season, we still have enough picks to have an extremely strong team next season.

The trajectory of this organization is upward, which is amazing considering our floor has been making the playoffs for the last 5 seasons. Our success is all due to how hard working and dedicated the Reaper players have been over the past couple of seasons. It makes my life as a GM such a joy when we have such great players who work so tirelessly. Thank you to all the Reapers on this roster, all the Reapers on previous rosters, and to all Reapers on future rosters! You all are amazing.

Greg Ernest reacted to diamond_ace in The Late Pick Parade
The Prague Phantoms, throughout much of the history of their franchise, have been able to pull late round gems from the draft. It's become such a routine thing that this season, only having picks 8 and 32, it was a bit of a surprise that there were no late picks around to use in this manner. Let's go through some of the picks that have given this franchise the reputation it's earned throughout the seasons.

    Season 68, Pick 50 (Round 4 Pick 12): Ben McGirr @cartoes
This particular pick, the one that started it all, was actually a bit unexpected. I remember during the draft going through and finding McGirr, not really knowing much about him at the time, but as the pick approached, going through the player page and seeing a guy who regularly updated and at that stage of the draft, that was more than enough. Since then, McGirr has climbed the draft charts and is currently the 20th highest TPE player from the Season 68 draft, having passed more than half of the guys above him. His career has largely been pretty quiet and under the radar, which I'm sure is helped by the fact that he's been an exclusively forum guy in a league that's moved so much of its discussions to discord, but he's certainly had some solid years in there - especially the last two, after he reorganized his TPE. To think that early in his career, I almost traded him so I could fit the team under the cap. I'm especially glad to have managed to find a way not to do that. He may not have the flash of a guy like Thomas Landry II who has climbed the TPE charts so quickly that going by TPA, he's the best player on the team already, but guys like McGirr are great to fill a roster with; when opposing defenses are busy shutting down Landry, McGirr and company will be there to make them pay for that.

(Season 68 honorable mention: Jacob Perry, Pick 38, Round 3 Pick 12 - inactive now, but outlasted many of those near him.)

Seasons 69 and 70 Prague had no picks later than 14th overall.

    Season 71, Pick 35 (Round 3 Pick 11): Woody McPine @HearnNation67
Unlike McGirr, McPine was a bit more planned out. Having drafted the aforementioned Landry at 5, I had plenty of time to scour the boards and see if there was anyone in particular I wanted. McPine stood out about half a round or so earlier than the pick with which I ultimately selected him, but the problem was I'd just been kind of lingering in the draft room, with two 4ths and nothing sooner. People were moving their later picks in this draft, so I got hold of @GustavMattias and offered one of the 4ths plus a 3rd the following draft to get in at 35. He accepted it, and the goalie of the future was brought into the team. The traded 4th became Linea Alba, who has added 0 TPE since the draft, and the 3rd the following draft was moved to Moscow and became Keith Krestanovich, who has been active since then but was taken by London in the expansion draft. Assuming Davos got something equivalent to Krestanovich in exchange for that 3rd, it's still a decent trade on their end, but I'm pleased with that price for Prague's first true franchise goalie (Wahl was amazing, but only here 2 seasons, and Crawford and Grimaldi didn't work out as planned). Since then, McPine has climbed to 16th in TPE for S71 draftees, only 13 TPE behind Joakim Bruden, another goalie who was selected 20 spots ahead of him (this is not a knock on Bruden, he was taken 15th and has earned the 15th most, he's right where he should be - plus both goalies will pass Joe Proto shortly). Absolutely worth the trade up and McPine will be the guy behind the new era of Phantoms hockey.

    Season 72, Pick 32 (Round 3 Pick 8): Riley Knight Gee @KnightRiley
Having traded away the 1st and 2nd in other deals, and the 3rd in the deal for McPine the prior season, Prague entered the S72 draft with nothing but two 4ths. This was another draft much like the prior one where I was just kind of lingering in the draft room, waiting to see what happened. As it turned out, teams were moving later picks again, and an opportunity came up with Seattle to get pick 32 in exchange for my S74 3rd. Gee had also been falling down the board, for what seemed like no real reason at all. Teams had identified him as a guy in the mix for selection but just for whatever reason, they weren't taking him. Naturally, this meant I had to trade into the round and pick him up. The 3rd I sent to Seattle was further sent to Calgary, with which they selected William Shakespeare II, and since this draft happened yesterday the jury is still largely out on him. Gee, on the other hand, is looking every bit the part of a player who can lead the new era of Prague defense; he has big shoes to fill, as the era of Seabass Perrin, Wolf Stansson Jr, and Cinnamon Block comes to an end, but it seems likely so far that Gee will have no problems doing so.

    Season 72, Pick 46 (Round 4 Pick 10): Ernie King @Greg Ernest
I mentioned in the last bit about Gee that I had two 4ths. One of these was sent to New York (with which they took Bacon, who has been a great selection for them, all credit to Esso). The other, the third to last pick of the draft, was Ernie King. This pick represents both a miss (in that Pietro Angellini was taken with the very next pick and is now the 21st highest TPE in the class) and a hit (King himself hasn't passed many people yet, but he's at least still around and sometimes updating, which is more than some of the people at his stage of the draft). At 46th overall, King will be considered a successful pick if he makes the VHL, which I'm confident he will do at some stage. It may take him a bit longer, but with some consistency, King could become a McGirr type player in the long run.

    Season 73, Pick 46 (Round 3 Pick 10): Theodore James St.Louis @Nick Kirkpatrick
    Season 73, Pick 51 (Round 3 Pick 15): Zachariah Kisslinger @Kisslinger
    Season 73, Pick 56 (Round 4 Pick 4): Secel Keller @xsjack

The trio of late rounders from the S73 draft who are still active represent a 60% hit rate in that draft, as I also had two picks in Bobbie Cheechoo and Jack Ogilvey who've gone inactive. However, these three are all still around, have started to pass up a few people (currently 40/41/43 in TPE for the draft class) and could be good building blocks for the team going forward. Kisslinger in particular has been active in the discord and seems particularly motivated to crack the roster next season. Keller has been around before (as Jack Lynch) and knows the league well for a guy at this end of the draft.

Greg Ernest got a reaction from Jayrad28 in Does ANY VHL team even want me anymore ?
Yet to hear anything from my GM in the VHL since for AWHILE now and my future is looking uncertain , after this recent trade its leading me to consider recreating OR swapping to a Defenceman, if i were to recreate it would be Vladimir King
