King Kisslinger is packing his bags and heading to Rome! After a crazy draft week and such a busy time, King Kisslinger was selected by the Warsaw Predators and the Rome Gladiators. I am really happy to go to both teams, Rome will be a completely new experience and I can’t wait. I get to play with my buddy @McLean Hoover for the first time and that will be something special! For the VHL I go somewhere that I am used to, the Predators. I had many great teams interview me, but I had a feeling that i was going to be brought back home. It gives me the opportunity to give back to the organization that gave me the chance to build my last player and to really have an impact and an ability to shine and because one of the greats for the teams history. I love Warsaw and I cannot wait for the future. But for now I’m focused on being in Rome and conquering the world!

Not bad eh? @MetalToday congrats man! super proud and happy to have my jersey retired! It was so much fun to be apart of such a close team and to go from contenders to champions. Couldn’t have asked for a better team and better management! Happy i get the chance to have another jersey retired with my new player so watch out for that;) thanks to @dlamb for drafting us and giving us the opportunity to grow and become the Warsaw greats we are today thank you to @N0HBDY for letting old man Kisslinger stay around for the final bit of his career and keeping the roster as competitive as we could around him and marner!

Just wanted to write a small little article and talk about my personal life, the man behind King Kisslinger. Things have been going pretty well recently. Quit my old shitty job for a better job in the career I want to be in which happens to be security! My girlfriend is moving in a couple of weeks and I could not be more excited. Life has been pretty awesome recently and I cannot really complain. I am a little worried about all this change happening so fast because it is very scary but I am pretty sure I will be alright. I have been back home helping out my grandmother. She has two broken vertebrae in her back so it is nice to be able to have some time off between my transfer of jobs to be back home and able to help her. As I stated in my media spot earlier, I cannot wait for the draft, for once I feel like I have no general idea which team I will be going to and it is kind of nice that way. It is nice to finally have a draft to look forward to after that long career on Zach Kisslinger II.

King Kisslinger is Draft ready and cannot wait to compete at the highest level. Although King Kisslinger and the Mexico City Kings did not have the playoff success they wished to have it has not changed his preparations and his main goal, to be a star in the VHL. “Losing is a part of life, it’s something we all have to experience to be better” said Kisslinger after being eliminated in the second round of the playoffs. Yeah it’s very disappointing and frustrating to lose in a round that I think we could have won but no doubt the team and I did the best we could. “Every single night the team and I went out there and played out best hockey for the fans and for the league. Although it didn’t go out way, i couldn’t be more blessed to have my first season with such a close knit club who were never down on themselves no matter what the score was or what the media was saying. At the end of the day we are all people and the better team won the series. I don’t think I had the best performance, I felt like I was a ghost out there at times but that all comes with experience. I know what i need to work on”, stated Kisslinger. The draft I know I have a lot to work on, currently I’m not the most polished player on the draft list, but I do believe I am one of the best complete players in this draft. My goal is to really excel at anything and not complain about my role. I want to help build a winning culture in a team, while having that family aspect that we have each other’s back no matter what. I am happy where ever i go because i know that the gm, agm and the team are taking a shot at the young guy and I’ll do anything i can to prove I’m one of the best. On and off the ice you’ll get the best version of me My life outside hockey has been going well, the family is good, money is good haha i just feel great. Yeah there is some stuff on my mind that makes me a little sad. Honestly it feels a little surreal to be leaving Mexico City after just one season but it’s a good feeling knowing what my next step is. i cannot thank the GM, the AGM, the staff and the team enough for everything they have done for me in my short but sweet time in Mexico City, this place is like a second home to me and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to start my career in. From the bottom of my heart thank you! But enough of the sappy stuff. I’m prepared, I’m ready, I’m hungry and I’m determined. Excited to see everyone on draft day and which jerseys I’ll be putting on come both draft nights and to which ever teams they are thank you and it’s time to get to work.

This season has been such an awesome experience so far! I have been playing some really really good hockey. I am above a point per game and I am really excited to be having the chance to improve my game in every way! I really want to become a lock down centerman that can turn on the dial and score you a big goal when needed. Mexico is giving me all the time to develop this with time on the powerplay and penalty kills as well with being on the first line. I am not too focused on the stats because that is not the goal, the goal is to win! The team in Mexico has become close and we have built some amazing chemistry on the ice. I am proud to be on the team and it’s nice to be around a bunch of people that have the common goal of wanting to win and be the best we can be. I have high expectations for this team coming playoff time as I really think we can be a sneaky sneaky team to upset anyone. We welcome being the underdogs! I am very proud of my teammates this season, they have been playing out of their minds and bringing their best on and off the ice every single day. No one takes a day off and never has an excuse for a bad day! We all know we are at the learning stage of our careers and this is all needed for us to be the best we can be. We still have a couple games left of this season before we find out who we play and where we finish so for now the goal of the team is to just take one game at a time and focus on winning. I’m really excited to see where I end up in the E and the VHL, I am willing to go anywhere for both leagues and I’m super excited to see who decides to give me an interview! I really enjoy that part of the offseason because there is nothing cooler than seeing the interview take place than watching your player get drafted! I am really looking forward to that for sure. I can’t wait to meet more of the league as I took a little bit of a break with my last player and there are a lot of new faces around the league and that have become some really talented players! I really want to be back into the league and more active but life has been keeping me busy and I’ve been going back and forth a lot so it’s been tough to try to manage everything that has been happening. I do intend to be on as much as I can be chatting and maybe even get back into an agm role! Who knows and time will tell. I know they have off season tournaments all the time and maybe i could even try my hand at gming as well! But yeah, my little mid season update and how I’ve been feeling about my players progress. Sorry for the way it looks, had to do it quick on the phone!

I’m feeling great, I think we have a great competitive roster that will get better and better. 2. i expected this to be honest, we are a newer group with some fresh faces, myself included, so we have to get to know eachother and play and build some chemistry! 3. I think the team has a great environment, an active locker room and gm’s who talk frequently and encourage earning! Love to see it all 4. one of the top players in the VHL! 5. King is a King! And with the 9th pick in the S89 VHLM Draft, The Mexico City Kings select, King Kisslinger! Just like that, King Kisslinger’s life changed forever. All the hard work, blood, sweat and tears were finally worth it. It honestly started to feel like it’s somewhat paying off, but Kisslinger knows this is just the beginning and he cannot slack. But it’s not about that right now. It’s about celebrating the moment and taking in everything that happened this past weekend. “This was truly one of the greatest moments of my life” Kisslinger said. “When I started playing hockey, it was never a guarantee i would be standing right here with a professional jersey on. It was a dream that I made true tonight and I cannot wait to show the Mexico City Fans the type of player they just drafted in me” We asked Kisslinger a few questions and had him talk about some of the things that happened on draft week. Kisslinger talked about the draft process and if he ever thought about where he was going to end up. We asked Kisslinger what three things he brings to this young hungry Mexico team and we followed up this up with asking Kisslinger if he has any expectations when it came to this upcoming season. “To me the draft process is one of the most exciting but grueling experiences you can go through. You have so many different thoughts running through your mind and you always second doubt if you have a good interview or if they caught you on a bad day or said something they didn’t like. Other than that, it’s an amazing time getting able to meet all the fans of teams you will be potentially playing for, it’s just really awesome.” I was interviewed by a couple of teams and some of the interviews went a while and I felt they all went well! But I know we all say this but I really felt like I was going to Mexico. It was the team I felt like I fit the best with and the team that I would have the most opportunities to grow as a leader and a player.” “Honestly it is a really simple three things that I think makes any hockey player great, and they are Composure, Hockey IQ and leadership. I feel like that is one of the strongest bases because those are some of the hardest skills to learn and improve. Skating and shooting are something you can work on everyday for hours, but the times where you can train your Hockey IQ and leadership aren’t as common.” “Honestly, my only expectation for the team is to play like a family and to give it our all our every game for us and for the fans. That’s all we can do every game anyways. I could say yeah I want us to win a cup or win all these individual awards but sometimes being more realistic helps us rather than shooting but always. Let’s see how the first couple of games go then we can revisit these expectations. Super excited for this journey, pumped to have the season starting soon! Let’s go Mexico!

I honestly have not been more excited for a season to start in what feels like forever, but after being drafted 9th overall to Mexico City! King Kisslinger is now a King! I am so very excited to see how my player is going to play back under Sam as my gm! Last time Sam was my gm I won my very first VHLM award on my last player so let us hope the trend continues. I am hoping for a really really strong individual season from Kisslinger, I really want him to be the dominant center I think he can be. It’s been so long since I have been able to upgrade my player rather than just save so it has been very difficult to remember what to upgrade and what not but it’s been a super fun process to be at the very beginning on again. I am really optimistic about the team too! Got lots of solid members on the squad and we will be a force to be reckon with once everyone gets upgrading and the season progresses!
