Hey VHL @Members, Today, Saturday July 18th, the VHL becomes a teenager, as it celebrates its 13th Birthday! We opened our doors in 2007, and it's been a hell of a ride getting here, as we have grown from a group of 56 members and 8 teams, to having over 200 players, and 28 teams, between the VHL and VHLM, in Season 73. Through it all, we've seen original members, who started with the league as teenagers themselves, grow into adults with families and jobs, and we've seen new members come in with that same enthusiasm that gripped every one of us when the league began. It's been an amazing ride, and it is amazing to see the league continue to grow each, and every season! To commemorate the league's birthday, we are giving all members a Triples Week, which adds 12 Uncapped TPE to any 6-TPE Point Task (Welfare/Pension/Affiliate PT are not included), as well as a 1 Uncapped TPE claim. To claim these perks, which conveniently add up to 13 Uncapped TPE, all you need to do is post in this thread a memory you have from when you were 13. If you are not 13 yet, post something you look forward to when you turn 13. Note: This thread will remain open until 11:59PM PST on Saturday, July 25th. Birthday perks may only be claimed on one player per member Birthday perks must be claimed by Sunday, August 16th (aka before the S73 Trade Deadline)

Yeah, I get the confusion. The donation drive is a bit of a different thing than normal donations. @sterling can you hit Al and Peace up with refunds? Also @Updaters pleas keep an eye on this.

I get the disappointment and I get what you were trying to do it just sets an unfortunately very bad precedent. It isn't about the amount of money (which again, would even out) it's about the rewards. Buying rewards for other people, while kind, just sets up abilities we would rather not see. We will continue to allow it for donation drives because those are smaller rewards and for a good cause but regular donations are to be for personal use only.

And this one as well that I didn't notice. I'm not sure where this mindset is coming from that you can suddenly donate for other people but this has never been the case.

A Full donation is worth 11 uncapped if I’m not mistaken. Let’s say you buy 10 guys in your team that, pricey for you but only you. Maybe you can easily afford it. You just literally bought your team an extra 110 TPE without your members having to do anything for it. It basically makes it so that a single member with a decent amount of disposable income can greatly improve their team singlehandedly. That sets an incredibly bad precedent because the limits are put in place so that donations can not become pay to win. You pay for yourself, you get a minor bump. It’s true that those same 10 players could all pay the same amount and get the same bonus for the team but the key is that they would all need to do it themselves. 1 member with the income isn’t dictating who gets an increase.

Same with this. No buying donations for other people. I appreciate what you are going for but ultimately it sets a very bad precedent that we can’t allow.

Gonna have to veto this. @sterling can either send the extra money back or you can bank it for a future one. Donation drives are one thing but we aren’t going to accept regular donations being bought for other people. I’m sorry guys but we can’t allow that.

It really shows the crazy depth of this draft that even with 16 teams selecting AND bonus picks in the second round you're still seeing guys above 100 TPE in the third round. Mind you because of the late joiner bonus hitting 100 isn't as difficult as it could be but it does mean that if these guys come back they aren't as potentially far behind so could be some good steals.

Like @Advantage said it’s more about teams not playing an intentionally crippled roster of bots for example to tank. Obviously if we see a 250 TPE goalie in ahead of an 800 TPE goalie we would take a look at it to understand the situation but we aren’t going to punish a team for playing an active over an inactive. If the team, however, played a bit goalie over yourself that would be cause for concern.
