That makes sense. I kinda figured since I only saw a few teams even playing but I wasn't sure. Kinda odd they didn't get NC or Duke for a Basketball game. To be fair I didn't lose it the first time. Issue with going PG is that I was trying to pass a lot and didn't really realize that my team was terrible and couldn't be trusted to do anything. I almost lost in College too but that was more because we were up by 14 and my coach put me on the bench; next time I'm on the court we're suddenly losing by 2 with 3 seconds left in the game. Made it work but not exactly ideal haha. I've noticed that kinda thing in the NBA a lot as well. It's almost like it was trying to force drama. I get benched after going on a 15-0 run to get my team up by a lot an suddenly 10 minutes go by and we're losing when i get put back in. I didn't know about the VC. Not sure I really care about it enough to leave my system doing nothing for an hour but it's good to know haha.

Man, I wasn't even thinking of the HS / College part, that's a whole other can of stupid sometimes. First off, it seems like they intentionally lower the difficulty of those games so that you fit the "superstar" model they seemed to have built for you. Gives a rude awakening come the NBA haha. In HS and College even if I was guarded so could easily drain most shots. In my rookie season I would regularly miss shots even when I was wide open. Second, they don't adjust any of the commentary to actually reflect what happened during those games. For example, somehow I actually managed to lose the HS final (no idea how) but they mentioned several times in college of I "led my team to a state championship" which, as I said, didn't happen. Third, they didn't seem to bother getting the rights to most teams in the NCAA. Unless I just HAPPENED to have the exact same teams interested in be between the two different positions I tried which seems unlikely. Fun fact BTW, virtual currency carries over between modes and saves. I started as a SG and didn't like it so I made a PG save and had the VC I had earned already. In theory you could stockpile a bunch somehow and become an actual decent rookie.

Sounds exactly like my experience haha. As odd as it sounds I feel like they should have diversified their cast options a bit based on the player that's created. I felt like I was adopted and that's not even getting into the fact that I had a black twin sister haha. Vic was definitely very annoying. If it actually had given options instead of forcing me into choices I would have dropped his ass immediately. I think the mechanics of the game are actually pretty good but 2k needs to figure out how to make players engaged outside of each individual game. I think they tried to do that but went WAY too heavy handed with it. Even with stupid shit, like why would I use my virtual currency to buy a tattoo when I could get actual attributes? That kind of customizing should just be build in.

Only time I went first overall was with Sharpe and everyone knows how that turned out. Less pressure going further down the board. My usual spot is around 5th I think.

Yeah, I found they didn't adjust the commentary in game and stuff to really flow with how well you actually performed which was kinda annoying. It makes it out like I get a double double every game which is a bit of a stretch. The "cutscenes" also don't really change at all depending what you do. For example, I resigned with the Celtics my 2nd year (since they had the best offer) but the press conference for the decision still worded it as "I'll be taking my talents to the Boston Celtics" or something along those lines that didn't even make it sound like I had always been on that team. It's also annoying that my player looks like some kind of fucked up troll because the actual creation options were pretty terrible; especially compared to say MLB: The Show which would have been the last game I created a player in. Overall it's not a terrible game or mode but I'm glad they gave it to me for free. As a fan of MyCareer modes I found it a little iffy at times. I still think one of the best career modes I've ever played was the first one, it was Madden '08 I think. Nothing overly flashy about it but you could still customize your player and ask for trades and stuff without it feeling like everything was scripted to happen a certain way.

It's relatively normal once you get past the stupid first year Spike Lee garbage.

If I remember correctly 3 of the teams I won with are still yet to be ranked; 2 for sure. I could just check my trophies on the forum but that would be cheating. Edit: Did end up checking, 2 of my cup wins are yet to be ranked, ironically my first and last ones. The one I wasn't sure on was the S17 Bears which was done already.

Glad you enjoyed it. The last episode is actually in Battlefront instead of CoD because of a huge update but same kind of idea. I find I do rate a decent amount with CoD but not really much more than what was in his video unless something drastic is happening. Overall it's mostly a venting outlet for me. If I've had a shitty day it feels nice to shoot some virtual people. Problem with that is if I play shitty it just puts me in a worse mood haha.

As with the last episode it is still processing as of the time of posting. I estimate it’ll be ready in about an hour. Got my microphone sounding better but decided against the facecam. Let me know how you like it. I've never played Assassin's Creed or the Batman games but apparently the combat style feels like a cross between the two. Whatever it was I know I liked it. Got it for Christmas a couple of years ago when the PSN servers were hit and down so I got Platinum in like 2 weeks. Absolutely amazing game.
