4 goals and 2 assists. Good way to end my VHLM career.

I was half asleep when I wrote that, I can't even begin to imagine what I was trying to say.

I was playing the Destiny beta at my friend's place last night for a few hours, definitely a fun game. I really do want to grab it but need to get myself a PS4 first. Game won't be worth it at all on PS3. It kinda feels like a cross, mechanic wise, between halo motions (jumping, grenade throws, etc) and CoD gunplay. But then it has a bit of Deadspace thrown in with the RPG style elements. Really great combination.

Really liked what eQ and I had done so tried some similar stuff here.
-
I know there are still some missing on account of the forums getting messed up / me cleaning my computers. This is as up to date as I can find though. (Collab with .eQ)
-
I asked eQ to make me a sig and he did so but didn’t really like the outcome. Therefore, to help him out and get myself a sexy sig, I asked for the PSD and collabed it. Here’s the outcome. Thoughts? Start: End: Here is the link to the PSD with my adjustments if you want to try your hand at it as well: PSD

I'll try and share some tomorrow when not on mobile.

Because people think being "inactive" for 1.5 players out of 6 apparently means I can't be counted on. At least for the VHLM. I feel like positional needs were more of the issue for the VHL.

Jackson Miller certainly fell further on draft day then he was expecting but the prospect coming out of Moscow landed exactly where he wanted to. Going into the draft Miller had stated that Helsinki and Cologne were his top two destinations on draft day. With Cologne trading away their 1st round picks on the draft floor it was down to Helsinki if he was to get one of those choices. The first three picks (2 of which were Helsinki) flew by without his name being called and Miller started to wonder if he would be NY bound. Surprisingly though the Americans passed him over, choosing instead to focus on defense. Helsinki leapt at the opportunity and grabbed the winger up at #5. “It really was surprising to see my name fall that far. I know my stock wasn’t as high as I would have liked but I was expecting to go 4th at the latest." Miller wasn’t the only one surprised on draft day. James Faraday and Tyson Stokes, his new teammates in Helsinki drafted at 1 and 3, were also surprised to hear that they’d be on a future line with the former Fred Wolves star. When discussing his new teammates Miller went on to say, “I had been talking with Helsinki before the draft about an amazing opportunity to grab Faraday, Stokes and I all on draft day. We had all been placed at 1st overall in mocks at one time or another and it was a pipe dream at the time. I really can’t believe we wound up pulling it off. Being a Titan, especially with this group of guys, is an amazing feeling. If dropping down to 5th is what that takes, I’m glad that it happened. I’m just excited for the season to start, I want to go out there and show NY and Calgary what they passed up. Nothing against the guys they took, both great players, but I think they made a big mistake and made one hell of a competitor out of Helsinki." Miller is currently adjusting to life in Finland and is enjoying playing in the Super Cup while getting accustomed to his new teammates and looking forward to the season.

Topaz Labs - All Applications - For Mac
Beketov replied to Beketov's topic in Resources & Discussion
Not sure if it works different on the PC side. On the mac side you just hit install (while photoshop is closed) and it installs them all in the proper spot. Once they’re installed they show up under Topaz Labs in the filter menu of photoshop. -
Topaz Labs - All Applications - For Mac

Uploading now, I’ll send when it’s done. Feel free to click the link in the OP and get info on the programs. I can tell you that, for some reason, ReMask does not work, I’m not 100% sure why. The rest do though. -
I’ll keep this simple. I have found a copy of all the Topaz Labs Products for mac, free. The only one most of you guys probably know well is Topaz Adjust but the others are really strong plugins as well. I’m willing to upload and share this but am not going to put the link up on the forum for legal reasons; anyone who has been around long enough understands. So, if you want the plugins, just like this post and comment; I’ll PM you a link. Sure I’m being a like whore but hey, we’ve all done it haha. And before anyone asks, unfortunately I do not have the PC versions but I can try to find them.

Being a goalie in the VHL is a rough time. The engine makes creating a good goalie a complete crap shoot and you’ll have games where you get destroyed for no logical reasons. I definitely understand the annoyance.

I've got 4 cups total, last was with Toronto with White. That was S29. No real curse here I'd say. Unless you count Founder's Cups. Never won one of those even with 6 players having gone through the VHLM.

Just getting to this now since I was on vacation. Have found 5 and pretty sure I know the answer to the bonus question (it's just an answer right, no picture for that one?) Not bad but those last 2 taunt me.
-
I'm not! Was a little disappointed to drop down to 5th but if that's what it takes to get myself, Higgins and fever in the same team (future killer like right there) I'll gladly take it. Helsinki killed it this draft.

Claimed:S39 Draft Pre-Show! (The RETURN!)
Beketov replied to Kendrick's topic in Archived Career Tasks
Care to post what your mock was for those of us that were busy? No time to listen tonight and headed out of town for the weekend tomorrow. -
Pretty bold prediction, although at least it's something different. Final Pre-draft update is in for me: 228 TPE pre-draft. Certainly not the most ever but I believe it's the highest I've ever gotten.

Wish I could hear this live but I'll likely be busy -
Geesh, way to make me look stupid there Devise It obviously does have it's issues, you covered them pretty well but I did enjoy it for what it is. Maybe I just went into it without trying to take everything too serious. At face value it was pretty good and I did mostly use the now so maybe that helps haha. There are definitely the issues that it shares with Uncharted though, I agree with you. The parkour elements needed more option instead of being like "grab exactly this ledge" but I did find they were a little more obvious in Tomb Raider which is good or had depending on what you want. I think technically you could qualify it as a reboot and a prequel since it falls before most of the tomb raider games but is definitely rebooting the series. Anyway, definitely agree with portal, although play both to get the full story and they are better on PC. LA Noire is a pretty good game as well but I found it got really repetitive really fast.

To still play in S39 you’ll have to re-create at the start of pre-season retirements which is listed currently as July 14th. It’s possible that will fall before the VHLM draft but if it doesn’t you’ll be picked up off waivers.

After a disappointing game 7 loss knocked the Moscow Red Wolves out of the VHLM playoffs prospect Jackson Miller took some time away from hockey to get his head straight and look toward the future. S38 didn’t end how the future draft pick had hoped but he came to the conclusion to look at the silver lining. When talking with VHL.com Miller said, “It sucks to get pushed out of the playoffs like that, especially after how well we played in the three wins. I’m not dwelling on the past though, I’m looking to the future." That future, at least immediately speaking, is the VHL draft (set to take place tomorrow evening) and the VHL Super Cup which will see it’s second iteration in the coming off-season. “I’m really surprised the draft got announced that soon, I was expecting to have another week or so before the event so travel plans are certainly taking off quick and I’m trying to mentally prepare myself for the whole thing. At the same time, the Super Cup draft was televised last night. I didn’t exactly go early on but I wasn’t expecting to since the best of the best in the VHL are taking part. I’m just glad I get to play with some of these guys and hopefully learn from them as I look toward my VHL career." Miller was drafted by Joey Kendrick’s "Walser This Way” Super Cup team 49th overall and will be playing on the second line for the tournament. As for the VHL draft, he is expected to go early on with predictions ranging from 1st-4th overall.

If you’re talking straight brightness / contrast adjustment for the high and low end I find levels works very well. If you want to play with things more though (or work with colour obviously) I find curves to be the best option.
