With the VHLM Season 82 playoffs heading into the Finals, we found time to have a short chat with the Houston Bulls star defender AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment, whom just finished a grueling playoff series and a Game Seven victory over the Mexico City Kings. Reporter: Hello AirRig! It's good to see you again! Congratulations on winning the Semi Finals against the Mexico City Kings! What an amazing seven game series you had against the Kings, what are your thoughts after Game Seven? AG: Hello. Thank you! The Kings were an incredibly good team! It was a hard fought series, and this is why we played hard and well in the regular season to win Home Ice advantage for the playoffs. We took the series because we had Home Ice. The Home team won every game in the series. Reporter: Any celebrations this time around after such an exhilarating game seven? AG: No celebrations after the game seven win. We are not done yet. There's time for celebration after we win the Finals. Reporter: Now that's dedication! Best of luck in the Finals! We look forward to speaking with you after it's all done! [word count 193]

S82 VHLM First Featured Game - Playoffs Edition Oh captain, my captain. Scotty comes through for Houston! Welcome back to Featured Games Recap. After a long fought series in the Semi-Finals of the VHLM playoffs in Season 82, we have finally gotten to the second Game 7 of the VHLM playoffs! Today, we have the underdog Mexico City Kings visiting the VHLM regular season top seat Houston Bulls, in Game 7. Winner goes to the Finals and loser goes golfing! This series between the Kings and the Bulls have been a Home Ice series where both teams have only been able to win at home and the visitors have suffered on the road. With the series now down to a One Game show, a one game series, we have stars rise to take over when the pressure builds up and the excitement builds up to the climax! As we've seen time after time, all season long, Houston Bulls' stars and S83 top prospects Hammer Voss @BOOM, Scotty Sundin @fromtheinsidee, and AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment comes together to set up and score for the Bulls. The captains unite to score the first goal of Game 7 to give Houston a very important 1 - 0 lead at 6:26 into the first period on AirRig GoodBrandSun's 6th of the playoffs. Unfortunately for AirRig (GoodBrandSun), big guys tends to take penalties easier when you cross-check your opponents, and Tomas Sogaard @Brandon ties up the game 1 - 1 for the Kings on AirRig GoodBrandSun's penalty at 10:22. This would be Tomas Sogaard's 10th of the playoffs. Lots of shots and lots of action follows as the first period comes toward a close with shots 14 for Mexico City and 16 for Houston, and then Scotty (Sundin) sneaks one in behind Mexico City's goaltender, Brandt Fuhr @Tate, right before the period ends at 19:34. Scotty Sundin's 4th goal of the playoffs and Houston's 17th shot of the period gives the Bulls a 2 - 1 lead going into the 1st intermission. Houston Bulls' Nine @NineIQ v2 scores their 6th of the playoffs to extend the Bulls' lead to 3 - 1 just past half way into the second period at 10:14, only to have Tomas (Sogaard) cut the lead back to one with their 2nd of the night at 12:30. But as the saying goes. "What you could do, I could do better." Scotty (Sundin) scores their 2nd of the night, once again late in the period, to double up Houston's lead 4 - 2 at 17:53 on the power play. Both teams had 8 shots a piece in the second period, with Houston leading by two heading to the third (period). As the saying goes, Game 7 is where stars are born and big change players step up their game. The incredible goaltending duel continues in the third period as both teams pamper away at the opposing teams' net with shots. It was not until "Hero Time" does AirRig GoodBrandSun relieves the Kings' pressure with his 2nd of the night at 16:28 into the third period to make it a three goal lead, 5 - 2. Ayomide Ayodele @KingOercy seals the deal for the Houston Bulls with their 5th of the playoffs on the power play at 19:09 to make it a four goal game, 6 - 2. Houston finished the period with 16 shots to Mexico City's 10. In the end, Houston Bulls out played the Mexico City Kings with a 41 to 32 shot effort as they claim Game 7 and the Series 4 games to 3. A final score of Houston Bulls 6 to Mexico City Kings 2. 3 Stars of the Game (as populated and voted for by the system) 1 - Scotty Sundin (HOU) - 2 goals, 3 assists, 5 points, 5 shots, +3 2 - AirRig GoodBrandSun (HOU) - 2 goals, 5 shots, 6 hits, 2 blocked shots, +4 3 - Nine (HOU) - 1 goal, 1 assist, 2 points, 5 shots, 1 hit, 1 block, +4 Honourably mentioned: Ali Des Aves @ViprVipe (HOU) made 30 of 32 saves in the Win, a 93.8% save %. Hammer Voss (HOU) had 3 assists, 3 shots, 1 hit, and a +3 Doug Matchett @jacobaa19 (HOU) had 2 assists, 4 hits, 1 blocked shot Ayomide Ayodele (HOU) had 1 goal, 7 shots, 1 hit (game high in Shots) Phoebe Bridgers @GrittyIsKing (HOU) had 2 assists, 3 shots, +3 Tomas Sogaard (MEX) had 2 goals, 6 shots Matt Rooster @hcrooster96 (MEX) had 1 assist, 3 shots, 2 hits, +1 (was the only Plus player for the Kings) Mexico City Kings finished 1 for 3 on the power play. Houston Bulls went 2 for 3 on the power play. Scoish Velociraptor Maloish @youloser1337 (HOU) had a quiet game against his team (Mexico City Kings) as a Defender for the Houston Bulls. Game Recap: VHL Season 82 Playoffs Game 41 - Semi-Finals Game 1 - Seattle Bears vs Vancouver Wolves Game one for the defending VHL Season 81 Champions, Vancouver Wolves, was not a walk in the park. We could all see that the Seattle Bears were full of confidences after their Wildcard victory. In fact, they caught the Wolves sleeping in the first period with Justin Lose @youloser1337 scoring early in the period at 0:43 to give the Bears an early 1 - 0 lead. Sirdsvaldis Miglaskems @FrostBeard doubles the lead for the Bears at 13:52 to end first period with the Bears leading 2 - 0. Omi Aberg @osens cuts Seattle Bears' lead in halve 3:24 into the second period, which leads to a crazy third period between the Bears and the Wolves. A period where we see the Wolves tied the game at 2 - 2 with a Shorthanded Goal, only to have Seattle go ahead again on the Powerplay. And then we have 4 goals in the time of one minute and forty-six seconds, with Vancovuer scoring 3 goals in one minute and thirty-eight seconds to take a 5 - 3 lead and Seattle to score 8 seconds later to make it 5 - 4. Vancouver hangs on to win game one. Final shot count: Seattle 55 to Vancouver 43. Vancouver leads Semi-Finals 1 - 0 with a 5 - 4 win.

Game Recap: Season 82 VHL Playoffs Game 40 - Wildcard Game 5: Malmo Nighthawks vs Moscow Menace Do we have a game of the night or what!? Game 5, winner moves on, loser goes golfing. Got to be one of the most entertaining and exciting game all season! We had a very tight match up between the Nighthawks and the Menace. And what a "menace" we had this game! Moscow Menace never falls behind in a heavy shooting, low scoring affair that needed Overtime and a playoff Hero. Menace Superstar Duncan Idaho @OrbitingDeath opens the scoring 3:46 into the first period. Nathaniel Minion @Minion ties it up at 1 - 1 midgame 12:14 into the second period. The teams trade goals in the third period. The Menace reclaims the lead 10 seconds into the third period with the Nighthawks tying once more late in the third at 18:42. Moscow's Hard Markinson @STZ ends it 3:24 into Overtime as Moscow takes the game and series with a 3 - 2 OT Win

With the VHLM Season 82 playoffs underway, we found time to have a short chat with the Houston Bulls star defender AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment, whom just finished a nice playoff series against the Halifax 21st with a 4 to 1 Victory. Reporter: Hello AirRig! It's good to see you again! Congratulations on winning round one against the 21st! How are you feeling after the first series? What are your thoughts on the playoffs so far? AG: Hello. Thank you. It's just the first step with a long road ahead. We had a good round one, the 21st were a good team. They put up a very good fight. Certainly kept up on our toes.. err skates.. blades. The playoffs is where the real game begins. It's been a tough playoffs already, I mean the defending champs already gone. Reporter: Any celebrations in the locker room? What are your preparations for round 2? AG: No celebrations. This is just the beginning. We have a long way to go to get to where we want to be. We need to work on being both mentally and physically ready for next series. It's going to be a tough opponent and we need to be ready from the start. Reporter: Sounds like it's all business! Best of luck in the playoffs! [word count 218]

Game 530 Recap In Game 530 of the VHL, we have a match up between the Toronto Legion and the Seattle Bears. If we are score board watching we might say that we have a very nice competitive, high scoring and entertaining game, but for all those who were watching the game. We all know who should have won the game and how the game was stolen from Seattle Bears' paws. Toronto's Oskar Lindbergh @Doomsday "the Devil's visage 666 TPA" stole the game for the Legion with an incredible 57 saves effort! A big slap in the face for the VHL 3 Stars of the Game as Oskar Lindbergh definitely deserved 1st star of the game! We had a 5 goal first period with Seattle taking a 3-2 lead after the first period. Seattle doubled Toronto in shots with 20 in the period. 5 different goal scorers scored, with Justin Lose @youloser1337 opening the scoring at 1:42 into the game. Toronto and Seattle trade goals in quick succession at 4:56, 5:20 and 14:00, 16:43 respectively. We don't get anymore goals until a fury of then in the third period, where the Legion scores 2 in less than three minutes (5:07, 7:52) and Seattle tying the game at 4 - 4 a minute and a half later (9:23). Toronto wins it at 1:35 in the OT with a goal from Matty Fire @MattyFired. Final Shot Count Toronto 31 Seattle 61. Final Score Toronto 5 Seattle 4. 5 - 4 Legion Wins.

With the end of the regular season of Season 82 of the VHLM just around the corner, we found time to have one last short chat with the Houston Bulls star defender AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment before we head into the playoff. Reporter: Hello AirRig! It's good to see you again! We are at that time of the season. The time when we prepare for the post season! What are your thoughts on your season? Are you ready for the playoffs? AG: Hello. It's good to see you as well! I am hyped for the REAL season to begin. That's what I am here for! My season is not ending the way I've wanted. Got to bring my A game when it really matters in a week or so. Reporter: What will you do to prepare yourself for the playoffs and let you bring your A game? AG: There's not much to say about this. Just got to give it a 110%. We have two games left to prepare ourselves so time to use that time as a warm up for the good games. We could get home ice advantage for the playoffs with 2 wins, so let's start there. Reporter: Sounds like a plan! Best of luck in the playoffs! We'll see you then! [word count 215]

Game 50 Recap: In game 50 we have the defending VHL Champions Vancouver Wolves play a dominating game against the youthful New York Americans team, whom held their own and made the game look closer than it should have been. In a fast and furious first period, we saw Vancouver and New York make rapid exchanges as 5 goals where scored in very quick succession. Jerome Reinhart @MexicanCow123 scored seconds (0:04) into the game for the Wolves against his team. We then have back and forth goals scored for New York and Vancouver that made the game 2 - 2 at 5:21 into the first period. Goals scored at 3:04 (NYA), 4:37 (VAN), 5:21 (NYA) respectively. Corey Kitson @Nykonax made it 3 - 2 for the Wolves at 9:31 on the power play to give Vancouver a 3 - 2 lead at the end of the first period. The young Americans actually took the lead in the game after Jon Webber @Webberj and Tavish DeGroot @rory scored in quick succession (22 seconds) early in the second period to make the game 4 - 3 for New York. Unfortunately it was a very short lead as Jerome Reinhart scores his second of the night soon after at 5:42 to make it a tie game at 4 - 4. The Wolves add another two unanswered goals in the third period to win it 6 - 4. Final shot count: Vancouver Wolves 65 to New York Americans 34. Vancouver wins 6 - 4

Game 49 Recap: In Game 49 of the VHL, we have a mighty competitive and evenly matched game between the HC Davos Dynamo and the Helsinki Titans. (For some reason I end up recapping for these two teams a lot, even though I only choose to recap the first two games of each day) One could say this might have been one of the best games of the season where neither team really dominated the other. A fairly well played game. The Titans jumped out first with a goal from Magnus Verlander @Jbeezy76 whom scored their 4th of the season at 13:57 into the first period. While the scoreboard might seem like the Titans had dominated the game, the shots certainly don't show it. The Titans took the game into a 3 - 0 lead with Alessandro Nano @leafsman scoring in the second period and Verlander getting their 2nd goal of the night and the eventual game winner. The Dynamo came back with two goals to make it a very competitive and exciting game. Phoenix Dawson @Toast started the comeback late in the second period, and Luc Tessier @KC15 made the game interesting early into the third period at 0:39. Finally shot count: Titans out shot Dynamo 34 to 30. Comeback came up short as Titans take it 3 - 2.

We are finally in the final stretch of Season 82 in the VHLM! With the trade deadline just around the corner, we found time to have a short chat with the Houston Bulls star defender AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment. Reporter: Hello AirRig! It's good to see you again! What are your thoughts on the recent trade the Houston Bulls management made for Doug Matchett @jacobaa19? AG: Hello. Yes, we're been seeing each other plenty lately. Getting Doug was a fantastic trade! Considering we are going for the Championship victory, getting Doug could only help the team! Doug gives us an additional competitive edge and also lessens the burden that Hammer (Voss) @BOOM and myself would have each night. Reporter: Given that Doug Matchett is a very good defenseman, are you afraid that your playing time will drop? What do you think will happen at the trade deadline for the Houston Bulls? AG: Not at all! With Doug on our team, we strengthen our defensive core. Hopefully we could add another to our mighty defense, maybe even more offensive talent and perhaps even goaltending. We can never get too greedy right? I trust GM @Moonn and AGM @Arce knows what's best for the team. All I got to do is get on the ice and play my game. Reporter: Awesome! Best of luck for the remainder of the season and the upcoming playoffs! AG: Thank you! [word count 235]

VHL Dream Team This will be my first time actually writing an article for theme week. As most know, I'm still very new to the VHL dream, with AirRig being only my second player ever. Now with my lack of knowledge and history of the league know was the VHL, please bear witness to my VHL Dream Team (starting line up) that I had wanted to have experienced in my first play through with Rhynex Entertainment. Starting Forwards LW - Chris Reynolds @Crstats23 Chris Reynolds, a member of the infamous S74 VHLM RER (or CRG) line of the Las Vegas Aces. Chris was the stable of the power trio in the Super S74 VHLM line, which saw the line combine for 152 goals and 356 points during the regular season of S74. Chris remained an all around star player in the VHL in his veteran seasons with the Warsaw Predators, notching three 100+ point seasons and three 40+ goal seasons, including a spectacular 60 goal, 76 assist, 136 points season in S81, Chris' final, retirement season. Chris Reynolds was the middle point man of the power trio, whom was both a goal scorer and an assister. The power forward of the power trio line. C - Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainment Rhynex Entertainment, a member of the infamous S74 VHLM RER (or CRG) line of the Las Vegas Aces. Rhynex was an all around player and elite playmaker and face-off specialists of the power trio in the Super S74 VHLM line. As a former Vladimir Boomchenko Trophy winner, and a career better than a point per game player in the VHL, Rhynex was a formidable Center whom played for a bottom seated New York Americans team. Rhynex was a career 30+ goal scorer in the VHL (where he has scored more than 30 goals in each of his 7 VHL seasons), which included a formidable 63 goals, 64 assists, 127 points season in his final, retirement season in S81 of the VHL. The playmaker of the power trio line. RW - Gary Rush @G_Rush Gary Rush, the last player to be mentioned from the infamous S74 VHLM RER (or CRG) line of the Las Vegas Aces. Gary was an all around player and a masterful goal scorer of the power trio in the Super S74 VHLM line. While Gary's game did not translate properly into the VHL, Gary was an incredible offensive stud while playing on Rhynex Entertainment's wing during his three seasons playing together with the New York Americans, where Gary had his career highs during those three seasons. Gary was the goal scorer in the power trio line, whom showed his scoring ability with winning the Ethan Osborne Trophy in that season. The goal scorer of the power trio line. The decision to go with a starting forwards line up of: Chris Reynolds - Rhynex Entertainment - Gary Rush came with the incredible results of the S74 VHLM season. The continual success of S75 - S77 in the VHL for Gary Rush and Rhynex Entertainment while they played together with the New York Americans also gave off an intriguing aura and idea of what could have been if all three players were playing together during their VHL careers. Gary rush: 77 (NYA) 72 26 53 79 76 (NYA) 72 34 64 98 75 (NYA) 72 36 49 85 Rhynex Entertainment: 77 (NYA) 72 32 51 83 76 (NYA) 72 44 53 97 75 (NYA) 72 35 54 89 The remainder of the starting line up for my Dream Team are players whom I wanted to play with during my VHL career with Rhynex Entertainment. Starting Defence D - Alex Letang @Spartan The first defence person I've wanted Rhynex Entertainment to have played with during his VHL tenure was Alex Letang. Alex Letang was a formidable offensive defenseman whom had a very nice two-way game. As a superstar playmaker and former Vladimir Boomchenko Trophy winner who had 94 assists in the VHLM, Alex Letang's game translated nicely into the VHL as well. Perhaps coincidentally, Alex had his best season in the twilight of his career with 25 goals, 94 assists, 119 points in his final, retirement season. Considering @Spartan was the person who "found" @Rhynex Entertainment and could be considered as my first teacher in the VHL server, I have always been intrigued with the idea of playing on the same team. D - Jiggly Gumballs @JigglyGumballs When you have so much offensive talent, you have to finish off the starting line up with a defensive superstar. Jiggly Gumballs certainly fit that category. Built to be a superb defensive defender, Jiggly was someone I've wanted to have on my team. Someone who I believe would be able to assist my team into being a contender and cup winner. As a prime example of a stay at home defender, we finally fill up the skaters of my Dream Team starting line up. (Non-)Coincidentally, both defenders were respectively the GM and AGM of the S74 VHLM Las Vegas Aces. Starting Goaltender G - Thadius "Swiss Cheese" Sales @thadthrasher Now if you've played with Rhynex Entertainment, you'll know why I've chosen Mr. Swiss Cheese as my Dream Team starting goaltender. I've always known that Thadius was a stud netminder. Don't let his early career Swiss Cheese records with the New York Americans fool you. Thadius' incredible seasons with the Vancouver Wolves should certainly erase any negativity from his game. I've always believed that I would have the best chance in winning championships with Thadius Sales as my goaltender. Never had a doubt in Thadius' ability to make a timely save to win a game. Just simply from looking at Thadius Sales' 91.9% Save % seasons with the New York Americans should show that Swiss Cheese may not have been a well deserved nickname. And here we have it. My VHL Dream Team starting line up, which consists of the line where I've seen my first ever and only (personal) award. Two defensive seniors whom I've wanted to play with throughout Rhynex entertainment's VHL career. And of course the Swiss Cheese goaltender. I believe the Power Trio forward line could most certainly had a chance to dominate in the VHL, along with the stud defensive pairing in Alex Letang and Jiggly Gumballs, and of course a (not so much) Swiss Cheese in net. It would most certainly have been a potentially very intriguing VHL team. The Dream Team LW Chris Reynolds - C Rhynex Entertainment - RW Gary Rush D1 Alex Letang - D2 Jiggly Gumballs G Thadius Sales [Word count: 1,058] [Claim for weeks ending 2022-02-27; 2022-03-13]

Game 34 Recap: Second game of the night in Game 34 of the VHL between Helsinki Titans and HC Davos Dynamo also happened to be a low scoring affair. Similar to game 33, we have another goaltender duel, but to a lesser extent. Unlike the previous game of the night, in Game 34, we see a more dominant team in HC Davos Dynamo as they fire on all cylinders to score 3 against Helsinki goaltender Xavier Booberry @CowboyinAmerica. Kyle Glass @Tbeez99 opened the scoring for the Dynamo 4:44 into the first period, and adds a second goal late in the second period (18:04) after Jonathan Ori @ROOKIE745tied the game at 1 - 1 early in the second period at 3:21. Kyle Glass finishes off the Titans with his hat trick goal at 3:41 into the third period. Similar to his second goal, his third goal was also on the power play. Final score Kyle Glass 3 - Titans 1.... I mean Dynamo 3 - Titans 1. Jurgis Kalvelis Blazevicius @efiug made 21 of 22 saves in their first win of the season. Xavier Booberry had 34 saves on 37 shots in the loss.

Game 33 Recap: Game 33 of the VHL between Vancouver Wolves and Calgary Wranglers were a very heavy and tight game. A very good and even game. This game between the North American and Canadian rivals was a very good goalie duel between Vancouver's Thadius Sales @thadthrasher and Calgary's Sirkants Klamasteris @hedgehog337. We don't even see a goal until the third period! Vancouver's Reinharts (Jerome Reinhart @MexicanCow123 and Tyler Reinhart @Zetterberg) spoiled (Sirkants) Klamasteris' night with the only two goals of the game. Jerome scored his 6th of the season at 14:50 and Tyler added an empty netter at 19:30 sealing the deal for Thadius Sales shut out. Thadius Sales had 37 saves in the shut out win. Sirkants Klamasteris made 39 of 40 saves in the loss, an unfortunate outcome. Final score 2 - 0 Wolves over the Wranglers.

We are past the mid-way point of Season 82 in the VHLM! We found time to have a short chat with the Houston Bulls star defender AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment. Reporter: Hello AirRig! It's good to see you again! Both Houston and yourself seems to be having a fantastic season! Anything to spill to the media? AG: Hello. You have a keen eye. We are having a good season so far, but there certainly has been ups and downs. Not so long ago we had the league leading losing streak, so I wouldn't say we are doing fantastic. We are managing. Reporter: You are having a fantastic season so far, being in the top 10 in multiple categories. Do you have anything to say about your season so far and how you are achieving such good statistics? AG: I've been doing okay, but I could definitely be doing better. There is always room for improvement in the game of hockey. Even just changing minor things could go a long way! I'm definitely not the best player out there, so there's a lot of room to improve in. And those penalty minutes are really adding up out there. Need to work on that! Reporter: We heard that there might be some locker room controversy, anything to spill about what's happening? AG: What happens in the locker room, stays in the locker room. Thank you. S82 VHLM Second featured Game Welcome back to Featured Games Recap. We are in Day 2 of Season 82 in the VHLM. We have four games played on day 2 and our featured game happened to be an exciting, high scoring affair between the visiting Mississauga Hounds and the home team, Ottawa Lynx, the defending Cup Champs of Season 81. Both teams had lost their first game of the season, and both teams were certainly desperate to get into the win column in Season 82. In the 6th game of Season 82 in the VHLM between Mississauga Hounds and Ottawa Lynx, we saw a back and forth contest. Although the Hounds never led during the game, it was certainly a heated affair and a tough night for the Lynx. Ottawa's Latavuis Jackson @Slick opens the scoring in the first period with their first of the season at 11:49, but they quickly took a costly penalty giving the Hounds life with a quick Power Play Goal at 13:48, the first goal of the season for the Mississauga Hounds. Interesting enough the goal was not scored by a named player. In fact, the goal wasn't assisted by any named players as well. The super computer power play line β-MIS RW3, β-MIS D1, β-MIS LW1 worked beautifully to tie the game at 1 - 1. What transpired next may be one of the few times you could blame the computer, as it most certainly was the computer's fault. Computer heavy bruiser β-MIS LW3 takes a terrible Hooking penalty at 17:14 in the first period, giving Ottawa their second power play of the game. And the Lynx happily capitalizes to retake the lead on Benjamin Franklin Chang's @joelunk 2nd goal of the season. A power play goal that ended the first period in the Home Team's favour 2 - 1, even though the Mississauga Hounds outshot the Ottawa Lynx in the period 10 to 7. Latavuis Jackson extends Ottawa's lead to 3 - 1 early in the second period with their 2nd goal of the game at 4:30 into the second period. Not much happens but a couple computer minors by Mississauga, until (Latavuis) Jackson takes a minor penalty of their own. An irresponsible use of their stick, high sticking into the box for 4 seconds. A very irresponsible penalty that gave the Hounds life and their first natural goal of the season. Leandro Goncalves @leandrofg had that power play goal at 17:41 cutting the Lynx's lead to 3 - 2. Daniel Clarke @Danzo re-extends the lead to 2 for Ottawa in the final minute of the second period at 19:07. The second period ended with Ottawa leading 4 - 2, while being outshot 16 to 15 by Mississauga. The defending Cup Champions really stepped up their game in the third period for the Ottawa Lynx. Ottawa quickly drew an early third period power play and Kateri Dawn Meza @kateri capitalizes just as quick at 1:02 into the period making it a 3 goal game, 5 - 2. Unfortunately, the Hounds would not go away as Adison Bond @adison strikes shortly after the Lynx's goal to make the game back into a 2 goal game 5 - 3 at 2:36. Mississauga's first even strength goal of Season 82. (Kateri Dawn) Meza clearly did not like (Adison) Bond's goal, as they scored their second of the game at 4:14 of the third period, once again regaining the Lynx lead to 3, 6 - 3. Leandro Goncalves capitalizes on another power play shortly after (Adison) Bond's second goal, scoring their second goal of the game at 6:00, to cut the Lynx lead back to 2 once more! 6 - 4. And the Mississauga super computers took another stab at Ottawa Lynx netminder Shaun Young @shaun1979 making the game a one goal game 6 - 5 at 7:55. Mikayev Ivanovitch @Mikayev Ivanovitch does what every Super Russian does, score a timely goal just two minutes later at 9:55 to recapture the Ottawa Lynx another 2 goal lead 7 - 5. A brilliant Power Play goal and the 4th time Ottawa has a two goal lead over the Hounds in the game. Certainly a very entertaining first half of the third period, and a devastating first 10 minutes for both goaltenders. The rest of the game became a snoozer as both teams decided to skate around and not do much, although the puck was mostly in the Hounds side of the ice. Final score ended in Ottawa Lynx's first Win of the season 7 - 5. Ottawa had an amazing period with 22 shots, outshooting Mississauga 22 to 11. Three Stars of the Game: (as chosen by the computer) 1 - Kateri Dawn Meza (OTT) - 2 Goals, 3 shots, 5 hits, 2/2 face offs, +1 2 - Latavuis Jackson (OTT) - 2 goals, 1 assist, 5 shots, 1 hit, +1 3 - Manny Wilson (OTT) - 4 assists, 4 shots, 1 shot block, +1 Both goaltenders did not have a good game in the 7 - 5 win for the Lynx. Shaun Young made 22 of 27 saves in the win, as Jesse Markov @JetsFan81 saves 30 of 37 shots in the loss. Both team's power play were on fire as the Lynx capitalized 3 times on 7 attempts, going an incredible 42.86% on the Power Play. The Hounds were just lethal with the extra man. If they had more power play opportunities and were more disciplined throughout the game, the Hounds might have actually won the game. Mississauga finished the night going 3 for 3 on the Power Play, 100% efficiency. Mississauga Hounds' standouts: Adison Bond - 1 goal, 2 assists, 2 shots, 2 hits, -1 Leandro Goncalves - 2 goals on 5 shots, -1 Final shot count goes in favour of the Lynx, with Ottawa outshooting the Mississauga Hounds 37 to 27, thanks to an aggressive third period. Interesting Notes: As of today when this Featured Game Recap was written, none of Mississauga Hounds' goal scorers (Leandro Goncalves, Adison Bond) nor goaltender (Jesse Markov) remain on the team's roster. Second star of the night, Latavuis Jackson, is also no longer playing on the Lynx's roster, and is currently in the free market. Mississauga Hounds dressed 6 actual players for the game (3 forwards, 2 defence, 1 goaltender); Ottawa Lynx had 10 players dressed for the game.
