"They Got A Steal" Wow, 7th overall? Looks like a bunch of teams made a mistake. Outside of the top two I saw no reason for me to be passed upon an additional four times. I cannot wait to report to Calgary however what I am more excited about is proving people wrong who doubted me throughout the process. I want to score a bunch this up-coming season and I know that I will be a game changer for the Wranglers this season and for many years to come. Anyone who passed on me should not expect me in the future and I would love to be one of Bushito's guys for as long as he needs me. My father taught me loyalty to those who believe in me and I will give my organization and my General Manager the upmost respect and effort along this journey. I know I am going to struggle in my rookie year but what I know most of all is that "they got a steal." I want to thank the Houston Bulls for helping me make it to this point as well as prepare me for the VHL. I hope that this season goes as well as possible as I know that as a rookie I will not get too much playing time but when I am out there I am going to give it my all.

TLJ Waiting For The Draft It feels like a lifetime ago that Teemu Lehtinen Jr was a Houston Bull, however now being released by the VHLm team he is eagerly awaiting the VHL draft. He did not take the release to heart as he knew most likely that he would be ineligible to play in the VHLm next season and thus it made sense for his former team to release him. In the time that I have been released I have been adjusting to potentially playing the VHL. I have been focusing on both mental and physical aspects to the game as I will need to be able to keep up physically to athletes who have been playing professionally for a very long time. Keeping up both in strength and speed will help me with all issues I may have with inexperience and will inevitably make a difference for my franchise in the season as I will be a threat in some form. In addition, I have been talking with many coaches for how I can improve and eventually become a franchise piece for a VHL team. At the end of the day it is about winning championships and becoming a championship player is what I must do while waiting for the Draft.

TLJ On Being Swept You never want to lose in the first round... but this time it was extremely embarrassing given that we were swept and expected to put up a fight. At the deadline we invested heavily in players to come join our team and our defense was strong however what was truly horrific was our offense. We could not score against Minnesota! As a forward I pride myself on being able to score, after all I recorded 39 goals this past season! The fact that we were unable to beat them once, or even put pressure on them was the most infuriating aspect of all. At this point I have to look back at my VHLm career in disappointment while looking forward to the upcoming draft. Rather than focus on the past I must focus on continuing to improve as a skater, and passer and thus make sure that I am ready for the VHL next season. With expansion coming up there is a lot of excitement and I want my rookie campaign to add fuel to the excitement surrounding the league. Losing in the first round sucks, being swept sucks, but at the end of the day there is always a larger plan in store that we cannot know. Hopefully this extra time helps me prepare for the VHL at this point.
