    Hey thanks for the feedback.

Unfortunately I haven't brewed in a couple years. Ever since kid #2 came around I find I don't have the energy to maintain as many hobbies. I didn't name very many of my beers, except my favourite recipe of my own creation (which I ended up brewing 6-7 batches of) was called "Crestview Pale Ale" (the street I live on is Crestview Drive, and I jokingly referred to my garage as the Crestview Brewing Company).

Also, I had a 5-tap kegerator setup in my carport. I don't have a garage door or anything, so it none of it was behind locked doors. I also had a shelf with glasses and pitchers in my carport - any hobo could come by and help themselves whenever they wanted. My wife got came home from work one day, and a couple of my co-workers were in there having a pint. She asked where I was, and they said "Eso's still at work."

Hah, my son is 7. He'd probably love to join sim leagues with me if I'd let him, but he's still pretty young, and I need to have a space where I can be crude and offensive and drunk.

    1. The vibe in the locker room was awesome all season, I had a blast getting to know all of my new teammates, whether we were talking VHL, NHL, or real life stuff. Shoutout to @Ricer13in particular for being a cool guy who I get along with real well.

    2. My players performance was unremarkable - I started the season as a "plus" player, finished the season at even, and didn't light up the scoresheet. The one thing that I wish I had done differently was stepped up my TPE earning like I've done in the last two weeks.

    3. I don't really follow too much stuff around the league, but I do like seeing the graphics that guys like @Zetterbergmake.

    4. I think we're inna very good spot. We have forwards, defenseman, and a goalie all locked up long term, with enough cap space to turn us into a contender very soon.

    5. Wouldn't really do much differently. Maybe I would prioritize scoring ahead of defense slightly this time, and maybe not put as much into checking or strength and focus on the big 4, but for the most part I'm happy with how my build is coming together.

    6. Fizzlebeef had to step up and play some major minutes since I think we only had 3 active human defensemen for much of the season.

This week I'm going to write a little bit more with regard to what I talked about two weeks ago in my last VHL.com article:   I am happy to report that in the last two weeks I have done graphics, podcasts, writing tasks, donated money, and couple of career tasks. I'm sure there will still be more things for me to learn and figure out, but I am now much more comfortable with my contribution to my team now that I am a max- (or close to it) earner. It's funny too, the more I learn how to do it, the less like "work" this stuff becomes. I joke on my PBE podcast that it started as a way to earn league money, but now that my account in the PBE is flush with plenty of money, I still do the podcast just for the enjoyment of it. Now I think that I am becoming the same way with VHL - I have stopped looking at my point tasks as a chore, and am now looking at them as an opportunity to engage with my teammates, the league, and also to practice some of my multimedia skills. Every time I do a graphic project I learn a little bit more about handling myself in the GIMP, and every time I record a podcast and add into/outro music and stuff like that, my audio workflow gets a little bit better.   I am lucky in that regard, that I am an outgoing guy who isn't afraid of criticism, so I don't mind writing stream of consciousness stuff like I am doing right now, or talking into a microphone by myself for 15 minutes.   In conclusion, and to get back to my initial point about gaining a better understanding of the TPE system in the VHL, I now have distilled it to the most important points. Each and every week, the following things that require effort need to be done:   6 point PT (graphic, article, podcast) Any 3 of the 2 point supplemental PTs (podcast, graphic, article, trivia, press conference, PBE affiliate PT)   If you can do those things, you're going to be successful. So armed with this knowledge, I am hopefully going to turn Steve Eso the player into a "diamond in the rough" for the Calgary Wranglers, and Steve Eso the user's next player is going to be a monster.

    1. What have you enjoyed most from this season?

I think the late season push was exciting. We were close to getting into that final wildcard spot only for it to be taken away in the last 2 sims.

    2. What is something that you wish would have played out differently this season?

I wish that we would have made the final wildcard spot and became the underdogs for this season. We have a great team and probably could have done well in the playoffs.

    3. Do you have a favourite VHL series? It could be anything like a podcast, an article series or something else of that nature.

I to like Tate's VHL.COM articles. Interesting to read!

    4. How do you feel about the current state of the team in terms of organizational depth?

I think we have some good depth but will have to look at who is close to retiring and make sure we have suitable replacements.

    5. If you were to reroll your player's attributes and startfrom scratch, would you do anything differently this time around?

No I don't think so. I think I would continue down the same pat has I have been happy with my guys stats as of right now.

    6. A number of rookies have made immediate impacts on our team this season. Pick one of Foley, Harris, Fizzlebeef Jr or Green Gaming and give a brief explanation as to why they're so important to the Wranglers!

Fizzlebeef made a impact right from the start on defense. As a rookie he was asked to fill in that 4th D spot and he played really well throughout the season.

    1. What have you enjoyed most from this season?
Our hot streak after the trade deadling.

    2. What is something that you wish would have played out differently this season?
Not having the worst choking performance in our last 8 games for a playoff spot.

    3. Do you have a favourite VHL series? It could be anything like a podcast, an article series or something else of that nature.
    Yes, my own articles. Lol.

    4. How do you feel about the current state of the team in terms of organizational depth?
Will need to eventually sacrifice some more for a more condensed team like they did to my brothers stormsson and kramerev.

    5. If you were to reroll your player's attributes and startfrom scratch, would you do anything differently this time around?
I would put 85 checking and lower passing.

Harris obviously. Great playmaker and a top 6 dude.

    2. Making the playoffs.
    3. Not really, but Ravenskill looks cool.
    4. We are good all around and our biggest weakness at goalie is much better now.
    5. I wouldn't really do anything different, maybe add more passing and defense earlier.
    6. Well I am Harris myself and I'll say my point scoring was a major part of why I was important.

    2. I wish would could have hit our stride earlier in this season. However we developed into a better team as the season went on.
    3. I haven’t looked into enough series to pick a favourite.
    4. I am really happy with the team and where it is at.
    5. No I really like the direction of my player so far.
    6. I can only pick one!? Fizzlebeef is who I will choose then. He’s a hard worker who’s going to be apart of our core for the foreseeable future.
