  1. Lol. Thanks for the tip, I now have an even better chance of cheering for the winning team. Go Yankees!
  2. Review: That’s an amazing thing to do, great job spreading the game! Decent article, maybe make it a little longer so you can claim for the media spot. Also, maybe make the words black, purple isn’t great to read. Good paragraphs, and good picture. 8/10
  3. @JigglyGumballs’s VHL.com article about throwing random crap together gave me an idea. I should do that too! Except I’m not as funny as Jiggs. Oh well. My player, Linus Zetterstrom, is okay. 116 TPE after I claim for this. Not terrible, but not exactly a star. He’s defensive defenceman, anyway. Those guys are never recognized as stars because they don’t put up points. For example, and I’m going to use some NHL crap here so brace yourself. Victor Hedman is the best D in the league. No argument. But they gave the best D award to Roman Josi, who gets a crap ton of points. Hedman was a finalist. The other finalist? John Carlson, bloody point machine. Defensive D don’t get enough credit, if you got the idea of that rant. The WJC is coming up(or happening, idk) and no one cares except the GMs of the teams. It’s kind of sad, considering how many people love the real WJC. I for one am going to follow it, and cheer for three teams like the bandwagoner I am. Canada, because that’s where my XBOX and my dog are(where I live, if you didn’t get it), Europe because Z’s supposedly from Sweden, and World, because I guess I have to cheer for Jiggs because they’re my AGM. Whoopee. There’s a good chance one of my teams will win, based on the sheer amount of teams I’m cheering for. The Aces, Z’s team in the M, are going to make the playoff unless there’s an apocalypse. That’s how how far ahead in first we are. My guess is that we’ll go to the finals but lose to Halifax because that team is not fair. It’s just not fair. But it’s not 100% yet, so fingers crossed. Thank you for for listening to me pour my brains out. Credit to Jiggs for giving me the idea. See you next time, when I hopefully have an actual idea for an article. More than 300 words, I checked
  4. 1. It means that Jiggs and Spartan are doing a great job and we are successful! 2. I think it makes more parity, which is great. Also great is the fact that most new guys are joining teams like the Bulls who had no talent very man to players. 3. Kankkunen @ZP16is sort of a role model for me, he’s a great guy and a real good player 4. I don’t think our team could get much better. Hopefully someone rips off Halifax 5. Spending time with family and eating too much pumpkin pie 6. Sweden is part of team Europe, so that’s obvious for me. It’ll be cool to see who wins
  5. Your graphics are amazing dont let anybody tell you otherwise ?
  6. Thanks for the shout out guys! I really liked the podcast, and I’ll be following it now. Great job putting in the time
  7. It is official. The Las Vegas Aces have passed the Saskatoon Wild to claim first place in the Western Conference. And rightfully so, according to a certain VHLM player. Linus Zetterstrom has believed in the Aces’ philosophy from the first day, and has improved as much as the team itself. Last night, a VHLM reporter caught up to Zetterstrom after the Aces’ win against the San Diego Marlins: Reporter: Well, it’s certainly been a successful stretch for the Aces recently, as you guys are on a four game winning streak now. What in particular has driven the team? Linus Zetterstrom: We have a really good team here. I knew we would eventually rise to top of the standings, our team is too good for that to not happen. We have a couple guys, like Gary Rush @G_Rush and Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainment, who could step into the VHL and make an impact there. We have a lot of good players. I remember at the start of the year, when i was grumbling about out a bad loss, when Jiggs @JigglyGumballs came up to me and said, ‘all things must come to the average eventually in this league’, which they obviously meant that we would be in first eventually. So I’m not totally surprised Reporter: Lots of people in this league have also noticed your development. You went from 54 TPE when you were drafted to 106 TPE now. What’s inspired you to work so hard? LZ: I really love this league and I really love this team. Spartan @Spartanand Jiggs have been really welcoming and I feel at home in the locker room. I also have a lot of great teammates in @Crstats23, @NickSunderbruch, and @ZP16among others. I feel like we are really close and we have lots of chemistry together. Reporter: It was announced not too long ago that you weren’t on Team Europe’s world juniors team. How do you feel about this? LZ: I mean, it would have been great, yeah. But there are a lot of guys better than me who deserved a spot, so I’m not that disappointed. Besides, it gives me some time to train and work on my game. Right now, I need to focus on my play in the season. That’s the only thing that matters. Reporter: The playoffs are edging ever closer, and the Aces are performing very well. How do you feel about the postseason, with all the added stress and pressure? LZ: I don’t see why we should treat the playoffs any different than a regular season game. We are still playing against the same teams, and we should bring the same amount of effort and energy as we do during the season. We can’t let anything knock us off our game, we are doing really well and we are hoping we can keep it up down the stretch. Reporter: the VHL has become more popular recently, creating an influx of new talent. What do you think of the new competition? LZ: I think it’s great the league is gaining popularity, there are more opportunities now. Teams like the Bulls who previously had like four players total now have three or four lines to roll with, so there’s more parity, I would say. As for the competition part, I think as long as I keep up the hard work and help my team improve, I think it won’t really affect me. There are more positive signs than negatives, that’s for sure Reporter: Thanks, Linus. Happy Thanksgiving LZ: Thank you. While at it, we also caught up with Zetterstrom’s agent, who goes by @Ledge_and_Dairy. Reporter: Thanks for doing this, Ledge and Dairy. We just wanted to catch up and see how you and your client are doing Ledge_and_Dairy: Yeah, it’s no problem. Reporters are always fun Reporter: chuckles Well, thanks. Not everyone thinks so. Anyway, how’s the season going? I know you’re a rookie agent, too. LD: It’s been a great experience. Everyone in the Aces organization has made it real fun and i’m really glad I got into this with Linus. Reporter: Have you ever considered taking on a role in the league? Like as a GM or an updater? LD: Well, I know that Spartan and Jiggs have a good thing going there, with Spartan being an updater as well as a GM. I guess I’ve considered it, but I’m still a newbie in the league. I don’t exactly know my way around yet, so maybe in the future, if a job comes up, I might go for it. Reporter: Thanks for doing this. And happy Thanksgiving! LD: Thank you and you too 774 words
  8. Review: Good, easy to read paragraphs full of good information. Also, good job using some more unknown players than the usual dream team. Nice use of bold words. 8/10
  9. Angel Wachiure with the clutch performance!
  10. Review: Congrats on the first goal! I remember when I got mine, it’s a great experience. Looks like you’re doing a good job fitting in with Sasky, that’s key. Pretty well written article, maybe make the paragraphs smaller and easier to read in the future. Overall, pretty good. Keep it up 8.5/10
  11. Review: This is nice and easy to read, with decently long paragraphs and big titles. For a first media spot in a while, this was pretty good. Maybe some bias towards Gritty! Nevermind, he deserves it. 8/10
  12. 1. I think we need a high-scoring 2nd line forward. Our D is perfect, Minott is a rock, so that leaves the forwards so the issue 2. I guess a championship? Maybe defenceman of the year? 3. The depth would be my answer. We have a capable player at every position 4. The Hounds. If they can stop getting overshadowed by Halifax, I think they can pack a punch 5. Neither. Orange juice is my way 6. Rookie of the year is the most realistic, even if it’s not realistic at all for a ten point player to win it
  13. When is the new VHLM commissioner being revealed?

  14. This is amazing. Way to find a way to crap on teams while placing the blame on the sim. I was laughing the whole time, and I’m already looking forward to the next article in the series
  15. Wow! For someone new on the site, you sure know how to write an article. Claim it for 1, two needs 1000 words
  16. Despite recent tough losses to the Mississauga Hounds and Ottawa Lynx, The Las Vegas Aces have pushed up to second place in the Western Conference, shoving Yukon down to third. This doesn't make a ton of sense; the Aces have only won against really weak teams recently and have oddly fallen to teams such as the two mentioned above and the Miami Marauders. Let's not take away too much credit, though. Vegas has seven wins in their last ten games, grinding out Ws against teams like Yukon, Ottawa, Houston, Philadelphia, and San Diego. This is creating sort of a conundrum, as the Aces seem to be losing to some important games and winning like crazy at the same time. Maybe it's just like that to me, anyway. Let's use some time now to shine the spotlight on some key players. I'm going to name some less known guys instead of the usual top scorers. -Drew Minott @DreMin15 Goalies don't get a ton of attention in this league, so I want to give our guy some love. Minott has put up astounding numbers, with a .88 save percentage and a 2.13 GAA. He keeps us in games, and I want to give him a shout out. We wouldn't be winning without you -Angel Wachiure @inflastud With not nearly as much ice time as the big times(Rush, Reynolds, etc.) Wachiure has had to adapt to their 2C role, and they've flourished. 9 goals and almost a point per game while also helping out on the defensive side of the puck. One of our valuable gems, for sure -Matt Thunder @Matt thunder Probably the most underrated player on our team with the possible exception of the player below. He has an incredible 26 points while being a beast defensively. -Roseann Petal @Psanchez55 THE most underrated player on the Aces. Petal is a revelation on the ice, with an astounding 28 points and 45 hits while also being defensively sound. I think it's about time that these players got the recognition they deserved. Hell, Thunder and Petal are some of the leading scorers on our team and they don't get mentioned a lot. I'd also like to let @Spartan and @JigglyGumballs know that we all think you're doing a great job and we have our full trust in you. In correlation with this article, I'd like to congratulate you on acquiring these magnificent players. 400 words
  17. Review: Probably the best article I’ve seen on here, funny and full of info. Easy to read, and it must have took a while to make this. Huge credit for taking the time to make this beautiful, loved the advanced stats. Favourite part: Nick Sunderbruch’s four shots in six seconds, plus your genius photo 9.9/10 because no one’s perfect
  18. Review: Way to go into great detail about what’s working and what’s not. Nice, easy to read paragraphs and I love how you quoted yourself. I learned a fair amount about the VHL and how it works reading this, being a rookie is hard but the points will come. Overall great job, not much can improve this 9.5/10
  19. 1. Defence was an issue early and I’m currently focusing on it and trying to I prove as much as possible 2. In my honest opinion, it’s a race between Gary Rush, Rhynex Entertainment, and Nick Sunderbruch. All guys who score a lot and are overall great guys 3. I detect no real flaws. The only real difference between us and say Halifax is that we don’t have like four of the top ten scorers in the league. I think if we make some solid trades we can have a serious shot 4. Before the game, I always re tape my stick. I’m also the last off after warmups. I also find that when there’s five minutes left in the third period, adding a little sugar to your bottle gives you an extra boost, with not enough time for the cramps. 5. I think it’s incredible that sim leagues exist, the amount of detail the computer goes into. I am as a whole very impressed 6. I don’t even like pineapple by itself, so using it to ruin pizza is something I’ll never do
  20. So, we’ve all been surprised at how the Saskatoon Wild have been playing recently. They trail the Halifax 21st, the best team in the league, by only one point. To say the least, most people think that the Wild are over-performing. But is that so? Or were they actually a juggernaut from the beginning? Cue funny cartoon intro Welcome. I’m Ledge, and today we will be looking at one of the hottest teams in the VHLM: the Saskatoon Wild I remember quite clearly one summer day when I was preparing my player for the upcoming VHLM season. I was surfing through the teams’ rosters, and I thought, “Wow, Halifax, Las Vegas, and Yukon are all really deep. I guess it’ll be a three team race for the championship”. Looking back, I don’t know how I failed to recognized the amount of talent on the Wild. Brian Strong Jr., Florent Vericel, Alex Zouzouambe, Gabriel Johnson, and goalie Cal Conway were all above 150 TPE, and most of them have grown tremendously since then. The ‘wild’ success of the team has proven that you don’t always need a ton of guys; you just need a couple guys who bring it every night and who score like crazy. I have just described Sasky in a nutshell. We have all been entranced by Sasky’s success. But we have yet to realize that there is a better team out there, a team that sits a point above Sasky and hasn’t beaten them multiple times. I give you: the Halifax 21st I had thought from the start of the season that Halifax was a frontrunner. With players like Michael Hall, Gabriel Akerstrom, Iangenere Risteneen, Wolf Weiss, Kasey Tamm, Kevin Malone, Riley Couture, Leo Strauss, Shawty Nananana, .......wait, I’m still going? I named nine players above 200 TPE! It’s really no surprise this team took the VHLM by storm. I love to see a great underdog story in the Wild, but I don’t see a team as stacked as this one not winning a championship. Nine players above 200 TPE! A bunch of these players could step right into the VHL and be difference makers! I’m up for giving @Diland @ShawnGlade tons of credit for assembling what looks like one of the most dominant teams the VHLM has ever seen. My player is on the Aces, and whenever I see that we’re playing Halifax, I tremble in fear. This team is downright scary for opponents! Since we're not talking about playoff contenders, and there's been a lot of talk on here about the Aces, I'll give some info on the Yukon Rush. The Rush are a very good team. But they're stuck in a conference with Vegas and Sasky, two heavyweights. The Rush are not as good as the prior teams per se, but have an agility to pull off upsets against them. The mostly ride the performances of two of the best defencemen in the league, Fat palloon and Lucifer Olivier Leveque. Leveque in particular has been racking up TPE like crazy. Their forwards include Jeff Odinson, Vlad Imir, and Alek Andreshnikov, who are all above 200 TPE. So this is a decent team who will for sure make the playoffs. And I think, with a smart trade deadline acquisition, we could see them beating out one of the big dogs. So what we have here is a classic guessing game of ‘who’s better’? Both teams have shown championship ability, that’s for sure. But who will take home the Founder’s Cup? 587 words
  21. Does this count as trivia or predictions for capped TPE
  22. It’s awesome, thanks a lot!
  23. 1. I think our performance has been fine, since we’ve been on a steady incline and lots of our players have been gaining TPE fast(me included) 2. I think we should be focusing on our play right now instead of pressure, but it’s nice challenge to have. 3. I’m more of a shy and lone wolf guy in the room, but guys like Chase Crosby and Nick Sunderbruch have been nice and welcoming. It’s hard not to feel at home in our room 4. My name is obviously similar to Henrik Zetterberg’s, so his nickname, ‘Z’, applies a lot to me and most guys use it now. 5. The Saskatoon Wild, who are not an amazing team on paper, steamrolling the league while having 4 of the 5 leading scorers. 6. It would be cool to be one of those guys who just pumps the puck into the net. Z is not a scorer, so it would be cool so see my name on the scoresheet more often
  24. I’m only doing three games for whatever reason Game 1: Minnesota Storm vs. Ottawa Lynx A decently hyped Eastern Conference match up, the defending champions Storm are up against the upstart Lynx. The Lynx have burst out of the gate, chasing the 21st for first place in the division while having players like Jackson Philliefan and Jolly Greene Giant leading the team to success. As I said earlier, the Storm are struggling. Not as much as the Bulls, mind you. Just enough to be in the lower half of the conferences. And although players like Yuuto Kira Cloudera are bringing to their A-game, the team just isn’t a championship team this year. Prediction: 6-2 OTT Game 2: Las Vegas Aces vs. Yukon Rush A hugely important match between Western heavyweights will decide who takes 2nd in the conference tonight. The Aces started off slow, but have gained steam and are on a winning streak heading into this game against another successful team. The Yukon Rush we’re not a good team last year to say the least, earning themselves the 3rd overall pick and selecting Jonas Stormsson. But this is a different year. The Rush are headlined by Vlad Imir, Lucifer Olivier Leveque, and Fat palloon, who are all putting up enormous amounts of points. The Las Vegas Aces, my crew, started off the season by losing to a couple of bad teams. However, they’ve been able to pick it up and gather some wins, riding the impressive performances of Gary Rush, Kasper Kankkunen, and Rhynex Entertainment, among others Prediction: 4-3 LVA Game 3: Saskatoon Wild vs. San Diego Marlins* *Not actually the third game, but I feel there’s should be a spotlight on the best team in the league(not you, San Diego) The Saskatoon Wild have been catching everyone’s eyes lately, winning like crazy over and over again. Tonight, they face the Marlins, who don’t have the best record but have been able to scrape together some wins. With players such as Logan Hoffman and Nathaniel N leading the way, I think they have a dark horse chance at catching the Wild off guard Holy smokes. The Saskatoon Wild exist. I pity whoever has to play the, next, especially their goalie. Brian Strong Jr., Florent Vericel, Alex Zouzouambe, and Gabriel Johnson are all in the top six in scoring. Watch out, the Wild are coming for the back of your net Prediction: 8-3 SSK 394 words
  25. I saw the penalties too....been upping my discipline so that should come to a halt. I am also now prioritizing defense, thanks for the tip
