Yeah it's Game 2, mislabeled

All three Toronto championships were cool, but I think the first one was the most special for me. There was so much uncertainty surrounding whether what we put together would actually be good enough, and to see it all come together so quickly and go worst to first was incredible.

@eaglesfan036 already posted about beating Quebec in Season 44, but the finals were a lot of fun too. I was expecting possibly a bit of a letdown against O'Malley and Co, but we actually finished off the miracle run. Was a fun first VHL title to get.

Different tone today: Probably unhealthy, but I do well running off of spite. Flyers creating his own goalie before the S43 draft, then Advantage trading for the first pick and not selecting me, is a favorite moment because it gave me extra motivation to absolutely destroy people TPE-wise with Wingate.

Put Olsen at his D draft position (that I'm hoping they will for the real tourney), and that Seattle team is sick. Still weird the only time they won anything was the random S43 team.

It was the team's trajectory anyway to not compete until S58/59, plus that's another year of service time on the back end and another year postponing a prime contract. I think it makes sense (as long as it doesn't piss Robbie and his S54 goalie off).

It's certainly part of why I think the MSFL_R died, which was probably the other biggest league at the time. People bitched about every little thing, the commissioners (myself included) said "fuck it, I don't care, do your own thing then" because we weren't the most mature either, and everyone doing their own thing was not very beneficial to long-lasting success. I'll take maturity over activity every day of the week, and the VHL's stability was the main reason I wanted to come back here in S31 in the first place.

I really hope all seven days are just you talking about different parts of the three-peat.

A VHLM sighting! Season 32 was fun - Ottawa had the first three picks, and 7 of the first 11, in the draft. Nobody else really stood a chance... until Brampton and Toast's goalie Smyl had an upset for the ages in the playoffs, leading the way for my European Conference champion Oslo team to win it all. Still my only VHLM championship, and strangely Oslo's most recent championship to date.
