  1. 1. Believer by Imagine Dragons 2. 2nd in the division isn't too shabby 3. Scoring. I should be doing that a lot more 4. Well, the Kings are in first, aren't they 5. Not really. Just Christmas and new year 6. My mom
  2. Review: I love the interviews with other people, we really don't get enough of those. I like the bold, and the spacing, too. Reporter Jim's sure got some tough questions, but dlamb answered them just fine. Maybe make the bold stuff a little bigger next time to please the eye even more 9.5/10
  3. Review: I love the idea, all-star teams don't come out very often. I like the bold and the spacing, but maybe throw some bold in for the player names when you're writing about them individually. Other than that, great job, and I like your choices 9/10
  4. 1. Sure, I think we could be doing a little better 2. More ice time for other guys? Anyway, we'll miss him if he does get cut 3. Probably just management 4. It's a good idea for players with not enough TPE 5. Peterborough Petes have an awesome history 6. Practicing, family time
  5. The VHLM season is underway, and Victor Foles of the Saskatoon Wild is making the most of it. After falling to 80th overall in the VHLM Dispersal draft, Foles returned to the Wild training camp with a vengeance and loads of skill gained over the offseason. After the monstrosity that was last season, with Foles getting fourth line minutes and only scoring 3 goals in 30 games, and being held pointless in 5 games in the playoffs, Foles worked his butt off training and was immediately given second line minutes, which he is using to fill the opposing nets with pucks. In only six games this season, Foles had 4 goals and 3 assists for 7 points, putting him above point-per-game pace. His pre season expectation if 40 goals is looking more and more realistic. In fact, he might even hit 50 if he keeps improving his game. He also has 17 hits, proving that he has a physical side to his game. It's been a long road in the VHLM for Victor Foles, and his hard work is starting to pay off. And when he decides to take a shot at the highest level, the Helsinki Titans will be waiting. 201 words
  6. 1. Well, I was eligible, so of course I tuned in. It was a good experience, and I'm glad Helsinki picked me up 2. It was soooo long. I think it will be good in the long term though because of the amazing depth, even in the last rounds 3. Patrik Laine seems like a nice guy 4. I guess just show me the ropes of the locker room and prank the crap out of me 5. Hell yeah I'm ready. I'm on Sasky in the M now, and we look like a good team, and I've been preparing for a while now, so I'm ready 6. 40 goals. Maybe 50. Lots of hits too 7. I honestly think Helsinki will be a middle of the pack team this season, just because the lack of offensive depth 8. Gatorade is fine, but I love chocolate milk after a game. Maybe really emphasizes that I'm a rookie, but I don't care. I love my chocolate milk 9. I would prefer being endorsed by a company with badass commercials, like gatorade, but for ones with weird commercials, I'm out
  7. 1. Didn't sign up, kind of regret it now. I'm going to sign up next season 2. I did some reviewing, that's some really easy TPE too 3. I think pretty high up, we have a good team 4. Well, Strong Jr. left, so that makes it hard. I still think he'll do great though 5. A pain in the butt when you have to drive, but I like cold better than hot anyway. I don't really mind it 6. Hockey, no doubt
  8. Review: Lots of VHL teams seem to be on a hot streak lately, it'll be who keeps up during the season that will be successful. Love the Seoul thing at the start, and some nice short paragraphs. 8/10
  9. Review: I like the idea, there are some great names here. Nice use of bold and italic text, and nice short paragraphs so it's easy to read. I know it's hard to include images for teams that don't exist, but one would be a nice touch. 9.5/10
  10. Review: I love the length, most people can't make an interview this long. Love the different colours and the photos, makes it really easy to read. 9.5/10
  11. Review: Great to see another great father son duo join the VHL. Nice image, and love the short little paragraphs. Nice mentioning your teammates, too. 8/10
  12. Many of you will probably never have heard of Victor Foles, and for good reason. During S74 in the VHLM, he was bouncing around multiple teams playing fourth line minutes and recording almost no points. The big sniper has had a rough season overall, from being knocked from the playoffs in the first round to scoring only 3 goals in the regular season. Luckily, in the offseason, he has caught a little break, and used it to propel himself up the draft rankings for both the VHL and VHLM drafts, the latter being later today. Here are some strengths and weaknesses for Foles: Strengths: Scoring Of course. Scoring is Foles' biggest advantage over his opponent. He can just wire the puck, and with his 6'5, 187 frame, if he puts on more muscle, he will have a wicked hard shot. He loves how Alex Ovechkin hunts the dots on the power play and gets the one timers, and his coaches recognized that in the OHL, and he scored 50 goals there. Work Ethic Foles is always one of the hardest working guys on the ice and in the gym. He always strives to be better and this year has thrown him tons of curveballs, so he's spent more time trying to improve his game as ever. Speed Foles is fast. Not quick, he doesn't have great reflexes and is really too big to be quick, but he is fast. If he is racing for a puck, he will get there first. His legs are like tree trunks, and when he gets pumping, not much can stop him from achieving his goal. Weaknesses: Strength Foles is not a strong player. He is often beaten in puck battles by guys that are smaller than him, but are much more strong than him. It's the main thing he works on, and some days he spends more time in the gym than he does on the ice. Not desirable, but necessary. That's how he rolls Defense Foles was one of the most one sided players you could watch in junior. He still is, compared to some of his teammates. It's been an area of improvement on the ice, and it has come along, sort of. He still tends to lounge around the blue line when there's a battle in the corner, but he's getting better. Flexibility Victor Foles is not flexible. Not in the slightest. Not in the way that he can't adapt to new surroundings, because he did that this year, when he was traded. No no, I'm talking about literal flexibility, as in if you can touch your toes. Foles cannot. It usually isn't a huge issue, but it makes him get injured more often than flexible, strong players. During a game in the OHL, he tweaked his groin, like not even that much. But he missed six games rehabbing it and stretching. Stretching is the main thing coaches tell Foles to do, and he does it a lot. But the road to flexibility is a long one, so he may have to focus on it for a while. 517 words
  13. 1. I am very excited. I have yet to be drafted and will enjoy being on a team for a full season 2. I do think there needs to be more offseason activities. It helps players gain tpe on not as good teams late in the season 3. I think Miami’s winning. They’re an underdog and they keep clutching up. I think it will be a game seven win 4. I don’t know maybe thunderstruck 5. NO. 6. I like to travel to Mexico City. It is a unique experience
  14. Review: This is almost more of a TPE guide than a season recap, and a good one at that. Nice short paragraphs and easy to read. Good job holding titles too 9/10
  15. Review: Great article, after reading it fully,my, my choice for winning is the Titans. Good paragraphs and Colorado and bolder text, and very easy to read. 9.5/10
  16. Victor Foles was signed about midway through the season by the Houston Bulls, where he played until he was traded to the Mexico City Kings. Since the Kings were knocked out of the playoffs by the Las Vegas Aces, Foles' season is done and he is looking forward to the upcoming VHLM Dispersal Draft. Victor Foles is a sniper. The kid can really shoot the puck. It is his most powerful strength on the ice, and he does it frequently and consistently. However, he has been criticized and has fallen in drafts because he had a very one dimensional game heading into the OHL. Luckily, Foles has been paired with a great coach in Barrie, and his defensive game has really come along. His puck handling and skating are average, and he is currently using less of his time to focus on wiring the puck into the net and more to work on the other details of his game. Victor Foles was born in Toronto, Ontario. Surprisingly, he grew up cheering for the Montreal Canadiens instead of the hometown Maple Leafs. Foles was drawn to hockery as early as 4 years old, and he was thrust into the maelstrom that is the GTHL(Greater Toronto Hockey League). During his tenure there, he played for four different teams: the Toronto Red Wings, the Don Mills Flyers, the York-Simcoe Express, and most importantly, the fabled Toronto Marlboros. Foles spent his 14 and 15 year old seasons playing for the Marlboros, and his astounding 50 goals in 20 games in minor midget had OHL scouts foaming at the mouth. Ultimately, he was drafted 3rd overall in the draft by the Barrie Colts, where he played for two seasons before signing his first pro contract with the Bulls. In his final season in Barrie, Foles recorded 48 goals and 99 points in the COVID-shortened season where he only played 58 games. Foles has been spectacular up to this point in international play. He played for Canada at the U16s, getting 7 goals and 11 points in 9 games, and being the second leading scorer of his team. He then played twice at the U18s, the first time as an under-ager where he recorded 3 goals and 5 points in ten games playing on the third line with limited minutes and no power play time, and in his second time, he played on the first line and got 6 goals and 12 points in ten games. This season, he was cut from Canada's WJC team, however. That is one of his main goals heading into next season. 431 words
  17. 1 I am satisfied with any playoff position. If we keep staying active we can become a better team in the playoffs. 2 The key to success will be to keep upgrading tpe. We can become a playoff team 3 upgrading important things with our tpe helped us win games 4 I like to upgrade for a few different things then normal during the playoffs 5 I like that we are a playoff team, but an underdog, it makes the season interesting 6 I think RJ thatcher is currently the most important player on the team. He has the most tpe by far and is a scorer.
  18. Review: Great article, nice and long. Good use of paragraphs, maybe make them a little shorter next time. I think you’e right about expansion, it’s not yet needed. Overall good article. 9/10
  19. 1 Everyone has to be active weekly at the least, and always earning tpe. 2 Solid backup goaltending is crucial. Helps to have 2 goalies available for use. 3 I think I was a pretty good pickup, a scoring winger. 4 I would be happy on any team. 5 I don’t really know much about this team yet. I’ll figure that out. 6 Tacos definitely, way better.
  20. To everyone else that offered me a spot: Thanks for considering me, this league is a blast so far! I have ultimately decided to join Houston, and I wish you all good luck this season. Cheers.
  21. I want to join the Bulls! Thank you for the offer. I’m sure you would like to know why I chose the Bulls. I follow the NHL, and have seen how effective rebuilds have been. I believe in what you’re doing in Houston, and I look forward to joining your team
