  1. Wow. Back in the day we were happy to get 3 applicants to apply for VHLM GM. I am officially applying to become the Ottawa Lynx GM. For me personally, they are the only VHLM Team I would want to GM (Besides Philly), because they are my VHLM home historically. I had my first player on the Ottawa ICE DOGS and have consistently had the pleasure of being signed and been drafted by @diamond_ace. Qualifications include previously being the VHLM commishioner for two real life years, leading the Yukon Rush to back to back cup championships and three straight finals, all while being a super active and engaging GM. I know that I like to troll around, but I have shown in the past I always take my commitments seriously, and would enjoy getting back to serving this great league again.
  2. Top S66 Playoff Performers so Far Points Per 20 Minutes - Julian Borwinn Because the playoffs are an uneven sample size with some teams getting bye weeks and some series lasting longer than other, points per 20 minutes is the best stat to look at to truly compare players across series. So far, Borwinn leads the VHL with 1.4 points per 20 minutes played, which for those of you bad at math means he is averaging a ridiculous 4.2 points per game. @Jubo07 is a major reason why Helsinki has only lost 1 game in two series so far, as has has maxed out or is close to maxing out pretty much all of the primarily important attributes. Hats off to him so far. Face Off Percentage - Podrick Cast Cast has a 69% faceoff percentage, so of course I had to find a way to mention that somehow. That is by far the best of the playoffs, with the next best coming in at 61%. I feel like the importance of winning faceoffs can be overstated though, as my favorite Flyers beat writer Charlie O Connor says, a faceoff is essentially just like winning another puck battle in the corner or neutral zone, so it's just one extra play really. @Victor's domination of the faceoff circle did not help his team, as Riga was swept by Helsinki. Penalty Minutes , Hits, and Shots Blocked - Vancouver I am just lumping Vancouver together because they lead in both of these categories. It generally is not a good sign to lead these areas, as that means your team is not possessing the puck very often. Vancouver has faced some lopsided shooting differentials against Calgary the past few games, and these stats reflect that. It is kind of lucky that we have made it as far as we have actually. Let's hope that Will's update can carry us. Empty Net Goals - Veran Dragomir and John Madden Somehow only two empty net goals have been scored in the entire playoffs so far, which I suppose means that teams aren't pulling their goalies very early. I wonder what the #analytics says to do in regards to what time you should pull your goaltender, as I know in real life it is much sooner than most coaches actually do it. I would do a regression study on that but that is a super specific thing that requires a lot of work so someone else should do it. Hits Received - Beau Louth It is well known that @Beaviss has the wimpiest player in the league, so it makes sense that he would lead the league in hits taken. He probably also leads the VHL in number of hits taken smoking the devil's lettuce Total Fights - Rauno Palo @jRuutu Has taken the goon mantle away from Louth, which isn't ideal as it just got transferred from one star player to another. Why can't some scrub player like Gritty be the goon instead? Palo has 3 fights in the playoffs and no one else has more than one so far. Also a random question, there have been a total of 10 fights so far in the playoffs, but only 3 fights won, so what happened in the other seven fights? Save Percentage - Kallis Kriketers Hard to spell last name actually played quite well against Helsinki, but his team still got swept despite him standing on his head so that sucks for him. I would also like to point out that my man @Will is tied for second with a 0.927 save percentage, so thank you for updating buddy!
  3. Gritty has made it no secret how much he hates New York, so the following sequence is essentially what heaven looks like in his eyes: "Puck is dumped in New York Americans zone by Shawn Glade. Normal Lineup #1 is on ice for Vancouver Wolves. Puck retreived by Ismond Kingfisher. Pass to Robert Malenko. Pass by Robert Malenko intercepted by Jagger Philliefan. Pass to Gritty. Shot by Gritty. Shot Misses the Net. Free Puck Retrieved by Gritty for Vancouver Wolves. Shot by Gritty. Goal by Gritty - Vancouver Wolves : 1 - New York Americans : 0. End of Overtime Period. " In game six of the series, Gritty was the one to finally end the goaltenders duel when his goal propelled the Quebec City Wolves to a 1-0 victory in overtime. I would also like to point out the cleverness of Gritty here, as it takes lots of intelligence to purposely miss a shot, pick up the rebound off the boards, and shoot it again for a goal. It sounds like something that Bates would do @flyersfan1453. Unfortunately for Gritty, he now faces elimination as the Wolves are down 2-3 against the Calgary Wranglers. Let us hope that game six of this series provides the same results as last, with Gritty leading the way towards game 7. Getting to beat both of @DilIsPickle teams would be a dream come true.
  4. 2) I am looking to win a cup next season. There is minimal difference between first and second line so I am not picky there. Extra PP time would be cool I guess 3) I will play wherever the team needs me to win, I don't really care which position it is. I think it makes sense for me to play wing earlier in my career so I can put tpe into other areas, then when I have an abundance of tpe later in my career I can put it into faceoffs. 1) If I could become GM of another team I would definitely make the switch. I do want to experiment with FA at some point, and it even could be something like leave Vancouver for a season and come back later (like Lebron). Overall Vancouver is chill for now 2) After my rookie contract I am just going to be doing 1 year deals the rest of the way, so that won't be necessary. If I were traded on a one year deal it would only make sense to be moved to another competing team anyway. 3) They are fine but again they are essentially just multiple one year deals it is the same thing.
  5. Do you ever wonder if you drank two separate gallons of milk from the same cow?

    1. Beaviss

      Beaviss

Easy since all the milk gets thrown into a big vat then they cook it to kill the bacteria.Your only maybe getting a tbsp from one cow in a gallon.
