  15. Wranglers GM at the Beach Again For those of you who read this title, you are probably wondering, "How does being at the beach relate to the VHL 10th anniversary?" Well, the last time I went, "down the shore"(#phillyjawn) was two years ago, around this same time of the year, and amazingly I was the Calgary Wrangler GM at that time as well. While being a member of the VHL and Calgary's GM has remained a constant in my life, a lot has changed in that time. Two years ago, I had just graduated high school and was slightly nervous about college, and had no idea what I wanted to do. I am now already half way done my college career, and still don't really know what I want to do once I graduate, other than it being business related. Anyways, this is supposed to be a VHL article, but I thought I'd give that personal tidbit as well. My beach trip two years ago was the beginning of my favorite season, S44. I actually remember being at our hotel at the end of the day, and I decided to trash talk Quebec in an early regular season game, and we all know what that turned into. I was cracking up reading some of that on the beach. Anyways, I will quickly compare current beach trip Wranglers to S44 beach trip Wranglers, and hopefully both teams wind up with the same results Goalie While I didn't know at the time, in S44 Calgary was set with one of the VHL's best goalies ever in Hans WinGod. We currently have Jacob in goal. @Higgins has earned a good chunk of tpe with him so far, and he has put up pretty good stats, even carrying us to the playoffs this season. Hopefully Jacob has some WinGod in him, and can help us win the cup in similar fashion. Forwards The S44 Wrangler forward group was an excellent example of how depth can win in the VHL, with 7 fowards all playing key roles. The first line featured Tyler Cote at center, with Rami Jakobssen and Jackson Miller at wing. None of those three could be considered superstar players, but they were all top line worthy players able to hold their own. The second line was Tim TebowGow, Marcus Hurley, and Sachimo Zoidberg. TebowGow and Hurley were both 2nd line worthy players able to hold their own, but Zoidberg was a superstar and really helped that 2nd line beat up on others teams 2nd lines. Then we had Teuvo Ruutu for extra depth. This current Wrangler team does not stack up with that much forward depth. Next season, the forwards look like they will be The Process, Leblanc, Jake Scheel, and perhaps Corey Klepenstein. Outside of Leblanc, those players should ideally be second liners next season (with room to grow as they earn more tpe), so look for Calgary to make some trades to get their own versions of Cote or Miller. Defense I'm already over the word limit so I'll keep this brief. My current Wrangler team has much better potential on defense than the old one. @Frank is going to be the stud number one defenseman my old Wrangler team never had, as the 450 ish tpe Jaime Hill was our number one dman for a while. Then, @Kyle is earning tpe at a good rate and probably will be paired with Sevard to make a dynamic duo. Then we have Journeyman who should be a solid 2nd defeseman. Well I am well over the word limit so peace hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane. There are some similarities between this Wrangler team and S44, but some differences as well. Hopefully Jacob can be WinGod, and we make another big trade for a few #1 forwards and it looks a lot similar to before.
  16. Davos just tryna start a 3-1 curse again i see you @Smarch
  17. My favorite moment was learning what a 3 peat was. In case you haven't heard, Toronto recently had a 3 peat, consisting of bacon, eggs, and home fries. What a great breakfast combo! The first and only of its kind!
