S49 VHLM Awards Ceremony Congratulations to the Bern Royals on winning the Founder's Cup, and congratulations to the Yukon Rush on their finals run fueled by first gen power! I would like to thank @Higgins for his consistent simming efforts, @Draper for the locker room and other help he provided, and @flyersfan1493 for his co-commish duties. Additionally, I would like to thank all 8 of the VHLM GMs for their enthusiasm and dedication to the league. Now it's time for the awards, where we will find some of the VHL's future stars. Individual Award Winners may claim 2 tpe per award. Shared award winners may claim 1 tpe per award. Team awards do not earn any tpe. Championship - Founder's Cup: Bern Royals Best Regular Season Record - Prime Minister's Cup: Brampton Blades Regular Season MVP - Mitch Higgins Trophy: Asher Donovan (YUK) Donovan (YUK) - 7, Axelsson (BRP) - 1 Congrats to @Dangles13 for winning league MVP! Donovan lead the league in goals, assists, and points, making him the clear candidate for MVP. Playoff MVP - Skylar Rift Trophy: Asher Donovan (YUK) Donovan (YUK) - 7, Odinsson (BERN) - 1 Donovan was unstoppable during the playoffs, with an outstanding 6 goal game against Brampton that Higgins called, "A legendary performance." Leading Points - Ethan Osborne Trophy: Asher Donovan (YUK) - 144 Leading Goals - Alexander Chershenko Trophy: Asher Donovan (YUK) - 67 Leading Assists - Vladimir Boomchenko Trophy: Asher Donovan (YUK) - 77 Top Defenseman - Ryan Sullivan Trophy: Nikki Kissanen (BERN) Kissanen (BERN) - 8 Congrats to @linsangeles on winning your 2nd top defensemen award in a row! A quiet but underrated defender. Top Goaltender - Benoit Devereux Trophy: Joanna Akerfeldt (OTT) Akerfeldt (OTT) - 8 Congrats to @enigmatic for being the VHLM's only active goalie! Unless you count Apollo Skye who was claimed on waivers towards the end of the season. I'm sure Akerfeldt will put up dominant numbers next season though. Top Two-Way Forward - Matt Bentz Trophy: Theo Axelsson (BRP) & Asher Donovan (YUK) Axelsson (BRP) - 4, Donovan (YUK) - 4 Congrats to @solas on sharing the top two way award with @Dangles13. Axelsson had the 2nd most hits in the VHLM with 309, while Donovan put up a good combo of points and hits. Expect these two to possibly continue to earn this award in the big leagues. Top Executive - Jack Reilly Trophy: Sterling (BERN) Sterling (Bern) - 5, Victor (YUK) - 3 Congrats to @sterling on his creating an outstanding Bern Royal roster, and congrats to both Sterling and @Victor on creating some of the most active VHLM locker rooms that can likely rival some VHL locker rooms.

By the Numbers: A Shift Back Into Power

Glad to see you are back at GM where you belong -
I was thrilled yesterday that I was able to add the great @Smarch to the team after some of the longest trade negotiations I have ever had, as well as add @enigmatic to the team via the draft. Smarch will provide us with a great starting goalie in Weinstein, but the other big reason I wanted to get him was because he is just a fun member to be around (and he is pretty good at NHL 16). Smarch is our goalie of the present, as Weinstein is an older, experienced goalie with more tpe but few seasons left. Enigmatic will be our goalie of the future. She is also a fun person, as I have been popping into the Ottawa LR from time to time and see her posting around the boards. Her rate of tpe gain is slower than some tpe whore goalies, but that actually works out fine for this situation because by the time Smarch will have to retire Joanna will have enough tpe to be a good starter! Calgary should have great goalie stability for seasons to come.

Where will the VHLM's Best Go From Here? Many people often overlook the VHLM aspect of their career, as they wish to head straight to the "real league." While the VHL is more exciting than the VHLM, that doesn't mean one should just gloss over their time in the minor leagues. While in the VHLM I've been able to share a locker room with members I probably won't get to in the VHL, and win a championship with some of the finest members this league has to offer. I would like to thank @sterling for not only assembling a cup winning team, but also for creating a great locker room where I got to spend time with some quality people. This article will be predicting what the future holds for last season's Founder's Cup Champions. @eaglesfan036 - Gowecny had a great season for the Royals, as he lead the team and was one of the VHLM point leaders with 107 points on the season. I made Gowecny have the same height and weight as Thomas O'Malley, and I plan on copying much of his build. While it would be foolish of me to think Gowecny can equal one of the greatest players of all time, I just hope that I can capture some of that O'Malley magic and create a great 1st line center that can help anchor my team to victory. @der meister - Ravenwing was another one of the VHLM's top centers, as he finished the season with 95 points. I had to make a tough decision drafting Axelsson at 2nd overall instead of Ravenwing, as both are quality members who will be great players. Stockholm got the honor of selecting Ravenwing at 3rd overall, and I expect him to be a core piece for the Vikings as their 1st line center for most of his career. Additionally, I can attest to Der Meister's awesome locker room presence from the past season I got to spend with him in Bern. @linsangeles - You are on the quieter side so your player was a little underrated this season, but you wound up with the third most points on Bern with 83, which is quite good for a defenseman! It looks like you are doing a mixture of welfare and graphics, and I encourage you to keep up the good work. At your current pace, I project you to be a VHL team's 2nd or 3rd defensemen for most of your career. Best of luck to you when you move up to Stockholm. @boom - Thor didn't quite put up the numbers that you deserved at your high tpe amount with only 81 points, but at least you got to win the Founder's Cup so that lessons the sting quite a bit. I don't think those low numbers will follow you to the VHL, as I predict you to be your usual awesome self in Helsinki. Keep being a fun guy to hang with and keep earning that tpe so you can do even better than Koenig! Thank you all for your time in Bern and best of luck in the VHL!
