Yukon proudly announces that Boom will become our newest assistant GM. Knowing how cool of a guy Boom is, I am sure he will do a great job in helping me help out our new players and keep an active locker room going. Thanks for joining us Boom Instead of signing your name at the bottom of the contract, sign with this instead: Yukon 2 gud

If you want to know exactly what your stats do to impact your player's decision making formula, go here! Players Rating Checking - The higher the stat, more hit he'll give. Skating - The higher the stat, less chance to get successfully hit. Part of decision making formula*. Strength - The higher the stat, less chance to get successfully hit. Limited effect on faceoff. (Affect by Coach) Puck Handling - The higher the stat, less chance to get successfully hit / less chance to lost control of puck / better chance in shot block or shot deflection. Part of decision making formula*. Face Offs - The higher the stat, the more faceoff he'll win. Passing - The higher the stat, better chance to have a successful pass. Part of decision making formula*. Scoring - The higher the stat, better chance to score by normal shot or deflection. Part of decision making formula*. Defense - The higher the stat, better he'll play in defense / he'll block more shot / he'll retrieved more free puck. Part of decision making formula*. Weight & Height - The heavier and bigger the players are, the more hit he'll give. * When a player has the puck, he needs to make a decision of what to do with it. There are 3 results possible: skate, pass or shot. It doesn’t matter if the player skills are at 50 or 99 for this formula. The player’s skills are compared between each other’s for this formula. The decision is based on 5 skills: Skating (Primary) and Puck Handling (Limited affect) are uses to decide if the players skate. Passing (Primary) and Defense (Limited affect) are uses to decide if the players pass. Scoring (Primary) is uses to decide if the player shot. So, a players with 99 in the 5 skills has the same % of chance to shot to the net that a player who has 50 in the 5 skills. Goalies Ratings Skating - The higher the stat, better chance to stop a shot. (Secondary) Size - The higher the stat, better chance to stop a shot. (Secondary) Agility - The higher the stat, better chance to stop a shot. (Secondary) Rebound Control - The higher the stat, less chance for a rebound Style Control - The higher the stat, better chance to stop a shot. (Primary) Hand Speed - The higher the stat, better chance to stop a shot. (Primary) Reaction Time - The higher the stat, better chance to stop a shot. (Primary) Weight & Height - No Impact. The rating Size is use instead.

I wish you were on Yukon another year I only claimed you on waivers, next season you will be drafted by a different VHLM team.

absolutely

Draper has confirmed to me that S31 was expansion. This means that Yukon has won 4 cups in 8 seasons, or for those of you bad at math that is 1 cup every 2 seasons
-
The Yukon Rush have won their second Founder's Cup in a row! As Lebron James commanded, Yukon has won not one, not two, not three, but four Founder's Cups in their short time as an expansion franchise (can someone tell me how many years Yukon has been around?) Credit goes to everyone involved in the Yukon franchise, as there is just a winning atmosphere and a gold standard (pun intended). Now comes the sad part though. After three seasons involving 2 cup wins and 1 loss in the finals, Yukon will be bad for at least 1 season and most likely 2. It was worth it though, as these past seasons have been successful and really enjoyable. I must say this past season with Yukon has been my favorite by far as I believe our locker room had more posts than some VHL ones. Thanks to everyone involved! Yukon 2 gud

Time for me to tell everyone on Yukon how great they are: Graper - It's has been a fantastic 2 seasons with you. Along with being a tpe whore who will break Higgins record, you are one of my favorite people on this website. During these past two seasons you have been super active great guy in the locker room, and I have seen you grow into the Oslo GM role. Keep up the great work with Donald Draper and maybe you could become a first gen HOF? Also I need to brag one last time you were an awesome random pick Munk - My 3 seasons with you have been awesome. I remember not really knowing anything about you three seasons ago and thinking you weren't even going to be active. After three seasons of dealing with you, your bizareness is one of my favorite things in the VHL. You have also been a great team player with Wahl, playing sometimes out of position or upgrading certain stats to help out the team. Wahl put together a pretty solid season this season, I will be curious to see how you do in the VHL. Higgy - I'm sorry your stats were awful this season, but never once did you complain. I enjoyed having you in the Rush locker room this past half season as you were one of our most active members. Considering that you are Higgy and rig the sim, I am sure your player will excel from here on out I'm glad I could send you off with a cup Hybrid - Your beast goalie was a main reason why we won the cup. You more than lived up to your reputation as first overall pick. While you didn't talk a whole lot, it was fun chatting with you from time to time and you are still doing great with updating your player. Best of luck in the future! Bl2something - I enjoyed having you here for the half season as well. You provided us with quality defensive depth, as few teams (if any) can boast an 80 tpe 4th defenseman? I enjoyed our chats this season and talking in the locker room. Best of luck as you move on and I am glad I brainwashed you into saying Yukon 2 gud. Mr. Burger - We did it Mr. Burger You were another excellent waiver wire addition that gave us needed depth in order to be as good as we were. While you may be quietly going unnoticed by a lot of the league, you have been putting in the work every week and consistently upgrading your player. Keep up the excellent work and also thanks for joining the Yukon 2 gud train. Riggs - Thanks for giving your player those occasional updates. By turning your player into a passer, you really helped to balance out our lines. I'm glad we could win 2 cups together and I wish you the best of luck with your new player.

As the VHL is a simulation league, most people enjoying tracking the stats of both their player and their team. Here is how you do so. Go to VHL Games Discussion and click on the games for whatever season is currently active. For example, right now we are in Season 62 so you would click S62 games and click on either the Regular Season Index or the Playoff Index (Created at the beginning of the Playoffs) . Once you are in the index scroll around and everything should be pretty self explanatory. The VHLM has a separate area for games and stats but follows the same basic template, but in the VHLM Games Discussion. Alternatively, you can also track your player and team's progress through the VHL Portal, a link to the Portal can always be found at the top of the forum underneath the banner. You can switch between the VHL and VHLM Portals by clicking the toggle switch on the left side of the toolbar that reads VHL/VHLM. If you have any questions feel free to ask members around the league

Congratulations on creating your player! The way you will be placed on a team differs depending upon what part of the season you join us in. If you created your player while the regular season is still in progress or in the off-season but after the VHLM Draft has taken place, you will be a waiver, free to sign for any VHLM team that has space on their roster to bring your player into the organization. Upon creation, you should see a banner that will direct you to the Portal Waivers page, which will offer you a breakdown of each VHLM team’s current composition and their opening pitch. Once you’ve decided upon a team to join, select “Join Team”. This will take you to a personal message on the forum between yourself and the GM of the VHLM team you opted to join. Upon receiving this PM, the GM will reach out to you with your first contract offer, which you can accept through the My Contract button on the Player Management page. The contract your chosen team offers you will be one-season long and will have a value of $1,500,000. Once you accept an offer with a team, you will spend the rest of the season and the playoffs with the VHLM that you signed with. Once the playoffs have concluded, your rights with the VHLM team you signed for will expire and you will enter the VHLM Draft. The VHLM team that drafts you will hold your rights until you are no longer eligible for the VHLM (once you enter an off-season over 200 TPE) or for three seasons if you do not exceed the VHLM threshold in that timeframe. Once you start a season with over 200 TPE, you will automatically be called up to the VHLE team who selected you in the VHLE Draft. If you created a player during the playoffs or in the off-season before the VHLM Draft has taken place, you will not be able to play in the VHLM until the following season, however you will receive invites to the Junior Showcase Tournament (an off-season tournament exclusive to new players) so you will still see your player perform in the sim before you find a VHLM team. You will then be entered into the upcoming VHLM Draft and will play for the team that selects you in the VHLM Draft. The team will own your rights until you enter an off-season over 200 TPE (at which point you will be called up to the VHLE), but if your player does not exceed that milestone, you will play for the team for three seasons. This process may be a little confusing, but feel free to ask if you have any questions. League members and VHLM GMs are more than happy to help!

If you've read the short version on how to get started and still have questions or are curious about something, this is a different version on how to get started that goes a little more in depth. If you have any questions, feel free to ask VHLM GMs or members around the league as they will be glad to help! Welcome to the Victory Hockey League! If you're a recreating member I'm sure you'll already know the best ways to maximize your player's TPE each week. For new players: this site can be a little difficult to navigate around, so this thread will help you out until you get used to things. Each week you can earn a maximum of 12 TPE/week, excluding uncapped. Here are the normal ways to earn TPE and improve your player. -Each week you can do either a Media Spot, Podcasts or a Graphic. You can do one or the other each week. Media Spots are basically a 500 word minimum newspaper articles. Graphics are more like what you see in other member's sigs. If you want a better example, check a few that are posted in the sections. For each Media Spot, Podcast or Graphic, you are able to claim it as soon as you post it. They are worth a maximum of 6 TPE. Reviewers will come around to make sure the Point Task is valid. On weeks where you can't find the time to do a Point Task, there is an alternative that is less ideal. You can instead opt to do the Pension Plan. You post in the Pension plan thread and claim a lower amount of TPE than doing a Point Task, which forfeits the right to do a Point Task on that week. If it is your first player you can claim 4 TPE from this route. If you've had two previous players that both eclipsed the 400 TPE mark, you may claim 5 TPE from this route. If you are in a partnered league with the VHL (Elite Football League or Simulation Basketball League) you may claim 6 TPE from this route with a link to your Point Task in either of those leagues. - After you've finished your PT for that week (Media Spot, Podcast or GFX), you can also do a VHL.com Article, a Player Card or a VHL Radio podcast. VHL.com articles are 150 word articles that don't need to be graded, so they can be claimed right away. Player Cards are your attempt at making a Hockey Card (E.g. Upper Deck or Topps) for a VHL Player. Both VHL.com Articles and Player Cards are worth 2 TPE each. VHL Radio podcasts are worth 3 TPE, and require a 5 minute podcast. You can do two of these three each week, however you cannot do two of the same. E.g. You can do both a VHL.com article and a Player Card in the same week, but you cannot do two Player Cards in the same week. - Another way to earn capped TPE is to get a job in the league. Job opportunities are posted in this thread HERE. There aren't always jobs available, but if you see one you're interested in don't be afraid to apply. Job pay varies depending on the difficulty of the job, but they typically offer a minimum of 2 TPE. - A newer feature the VHL has is Press Conferences. If you follow the rules found HERE, you may claim 2 TPE if done correctly. This counts against your capped TPE per week. - VHL Trivia, which can be found HERE, allows you to earn 2 capped TPE per week by correctly answering questions about the history of the VHL. In addition, there is an extra uncapped TPE payout at the end of the season based on how many trivia questions you correctly answered. - The final method of earning capped TPE is by reviewing other members Point Tasks. The rules can be found HERE and depending on how many point tasks you review in the week, you will earn up to 2 capped TPE. That's everything you can do to earn capped TPE, so here's a table to break down the capped activities above and how much you can earn through them per week: VHL Weekly Activities for Capped TPE Main Point Task (For Up To 6 TPE/Week) Mini Point Tasks (For Up To 6 TPE/Week) Jobs You can do one of the following each week: A 150 Word VHL.com Article (2 TPE) * You can also earn Capped TPE by performing jobs that help the VHL A 500 Word Media Article (6 TPE) A VHL Related Player Card/Graphic (2 TPE) * Vacant Roles can be found in the Job Interviews forum. A VHL Related Graphic (6 TPE) A 5 Minute VHL Radio Podcast (3 TPE) * Examples of VHL Jobs include: A 15 Minute Podcast (6 TPE) Ask/Answer Press Conference Questions (Up to 2 TPE) Updater (3 TPE) If you've done any of the three above in the SBA or EFL, you can claim them as Affiliate Welfare (6 TPE) Answer VHL Trivia Questions (Up to 2 TPE) VHL/VHLM GM (2 TPE) Review Other Members Main Point Tasks (Up to 2 TPE) Recruitment Team (Up to 12 TPE) If you don't have the time to submit a Main Point Task, you can claim for Welfare (4 TPE) Note: You can do up to two of the three PT's marked with a *, but you can't do two of the same in one week (E.g. two Player Cards) VSN Writer/Editor (Up to 10 TPE) You Can Earn A Maximum Of 12 TPE/Week Through These Activities Combined There are a few other ways to earn TPE, this time uncapped. - As long as you're in the VHLM, you'll be able to claim 2 TPE, uncapped, from the VHLM Practice Facility. Each week of the regular season a thread will be posted by the VHLM Commissioner. If you post in this thread, you automatically earn 2 TPE for that week, which can be claimed immediately. - Another area that a lot of members forget it the VHL Fantasy Zone. There are multiple ways to earn uncapped TPE here. - Each week of the regular season, there will be a thread posted for the VHL Pick 'Em. Three games will be posted that will take place later that week. If you can successfully guess all three winning teams you earn 1 TPE. - Each week of the regular season, the VHL Predict a Score takes place in a thread. This time only one game is posted, but you have to guess the winner AND the score of the game. If you successfully guess both, you earn 3 TPE. Since many of you won't know much about the VHL, as you play in the VHLM, you may want to copy the predictions of another member, possibly your GM. - Sometimes a Fantasy Pool will take place, ranging from NHL predictions to March Madness to College Football. Even if you know nothing about them, making a random ballot is a good idea. Everyone earns TPE for participating, more being earned based on accuracy. - There is now a VHLM Fantasy Zone as well. The same rules and games apply as the VHL Fantasy Zone, but is only eligible for VHLM Players. All VHLM Players are still eligible to participate in the VHL Fantasy Zone, so make sure to do both! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, I would like to add that you should do your Junior Review as soon as possible, because the 5 Uncapped TPE can really help boost your TPE early on and will hopefully help you record better stats in the sim earlier on in your career. Doing these will help you be a star for your VHLM team. If you have any questions about anything, the league is filled with active members who would be more than willing to help, so feel free to ask. Cheers!

HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE VICTORY HOCKEY LEAGUE! You're probably wondering how to get started! First, once you Create Your Player, a post will automatically be made for you in the Player Creation forums. Once your player is made and the post is up, VHLM GMs will offer you contracts to join their team for the remainder of the season. You'll be eligible in the next VHLM Dispersal Draft, which happens in every offseason. If you create during the playoffs or during the offseason, before said draft, you won't have to sign with a team, but you'll get be drafted straight away. The team that drafts you hold your rights for 3 seasons, or up until you start a season with over 250 TPE, at which point you will be called up by the VHL team that drafts you during your class' VHL Entry Draft. You will have to create Point Tasks in order to improve your player. This is how you make your player better. There are a number of different ways to improve your players. In fact, you can get up to 12 capped points (or "TPE," Total Points Earned) per week from normal activities. See this thread for more information on TPE. HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR PLAYER > Submit a weekly point task - POINT TASKS A point task is a media spot (500-word long article about anything league-related), graphic/video (something cool, like a signature or a logo redesign, needs to be league-related), podcast (again, needs to be league-related and a minimum of 15 minutes). You can only do one of these weekly, and they are all worth 6 TPE. Alternatively, if you don't have time to do a 6-TPE point task, you can claim welfare for 4 TPE, or more if you made a PT in an affiliate sim league this week. > Post a VHL.com article - VHL.com Articles Easy points. Write only 150 words about whatever you want, league-related, and get 2 TPE. > Post a VHL.com graphic - VHL.com Articles Make a simple graphic, like a player trading card, for 2 TPE. > Record a VHL Radio podcast - VHL Radio Record a podcast at least 5 minutes in length and you'll receive 3 TPE. > Participate in press conferences - Press Conferences Pressers are basically Press Conferences like what they do in more professional sports leagues. You can get 1 TPE for every 3 questions you answer or for every 5 questions you ask to other players, up to a maximum of 2 TPE weekly > Answer trivia questions - Trivia Answer two weekly trivia questions correctly for 2 TPE. Answers are typically found in the VHL League Discussion section, in the VHL Games section or in the Hall of Fame section on the portal. At the end of the season, there is a trivia leaderboard where you will earn more TPE for every question you answered correctly! > Review media - Reviewing Logs You can review any point task or biographies and rookie profiles. Reviewing one media gives you 1 point (2 for biographies and rookie profiles), and you get 1 TPE for every 4 point you get, up to a weekly maximum of 2 TPE. As a guide on how many of these activities you can do each week, please refer to the table below: VHL Weekly Activities for Capped TPE Main Point Task (For Up To 6 TPE/Week) Mini Point Tasks (For Up To 6 TPE/Week) Jobs You can do one of the following each week: A 150 Word VHL.com Article (2 TPE) * You can also earn Capped TPE by performing jobs that help the VHL A 500 Word Media Article (6 TPE) A VHL Related Player Card/Graphic (2 TPE) * Vacant Roles can be found in the Job Interviews forum. A VHL Related Graphic (6 TPE) A 5 Minute VHL Radio Podcast (3 TPE) * Examples of VHL Jobs include: A 15 Minute Podcast (6 TPE) Ask/Answer Press Conference Questions (Up to 2 TPE) Updater (3 TPE) If you've done any of the three above in the SBA or EFL, you can claim them as Affiliate Welfare (6 TPE) Answer VHL Trivia Questions (Up to 2 TPE) VHL/VHLM GM (2 TPE) Review Other Members Main Point Tasks (Up to 2 TPE) Recruitment Team (Up to 12 TPE) If you don't have the time to submit a Main Point Task, you can claim for Welfare (4 TPE) Note: You can do up to two of the three PT's marked with a *, but you can't do two of the same in one week (E.g. two Player Cards) VSN Writer/Editor (Up to 10 TPE) You Can Earn A Maximum Of 12 TPE/Week Through These Activities Combined OTHER WAYS TO GET BETTER > Go to the Practice Facility - Practice Facility Each week, someone will post a link which you have to post in in order to claim the 2 free TPE each VHLM'er gets each week. Just post in the thread each week, and you'll get that 2 TPE. > Write your player's Junior Review - Junior Review Write about your player's career prior to joining the VHLM. This is required to be 400 words long and rewards you with 5 TPE. > Write your player's Prospect Scouting Report - Prospect Scouting Report In the season prior to your VHL Draft, write up a scouting report focusing on your player's pros/cons and his VHLM career to date. Like the Junior Review, this is required to be 400 words long and nets you 5 TPE upon completion. The Junior Review and the Prospect Scouting Report are two of the five Career Point Tasks available for you to participate in over the course of your player's career. The other three tasks are the Rookie Experience, Veteran Presence and Biography, however these will not become available to you until after you've been drafted to the VHL and later. HOW TO CLAIM YOUR TPE AND UPDATE YOUR PLAYER Once you’ve done your point tasks, you will have to claim them on the league’s portal before you can add the TPE to your player’s attributes. To find out more, click HERE. YOU SHOULD BE SET! Be sure to ask a member if you have any questions. A thread has already been made for you in the Introduce Yourself forum, tell the VHL a little more about yourself in there! It’s also a good idea to join the league discord where you’ll be able to get answers to any questions that you have almost immediately. Best of luck in your upcoming VHL career!

Well you may be a bust, but you got to win a cup and most likely 2 cups with yukon
