Joshothegreat got a reaction from Spence King in Ottawa Lynx Hoping To Make Playoffs!
The Ottawa Lynx came into this season with not much to cheer about after the year they had last year in the VHLM but this year things are looking vastly different. The team is 13-12-1 and is 4th in their division and with the team trending upwards it would not be a surprise if they make the playoffs. All 3 of their topline forwards are in the top 10 in scoring with Theodore Hoffman leading the way with 57 points while The Leaning Tower Of Pisa has 45 and Joshooo with 44. This team is very gifted offensively so it is not hard to believe that they can and will make the playoffs. The team has also been led my stellar performances from goaltender Barry Taffe who has kept them in many games this season and in my mind is just rounding into his own. Almost halfway through the VHLM season the Ottawa Lynx are ready to start performing their best and make a climb in the standings and make their way to the playoffs. And for every Lynx fan out there, a long playoff run would be just what the doctor ordered.

    About Josho
Josho was drafted 6th round by the Ottawa Lynx and it still only 15 games into his first season in the VHLM but has made a big impact for his team so far scoring 23 points in 15 games. He is well on pace to score over a point per game. Josho is looking to lead the Lynx to the playoffs and hopefully make a deep run. He is ranked to go in the top 20 of the upcoming VHL draft and could easily make the jump directly to the VHL but is more likely that he plays another full season in the VHLM after this season. The rest of the season will really prove to everyone if he is ready to make the jump to the VHL, only time will tell.

    Strengths
Scoring: Josho has the ability to score there is no doubt about that with 11 goals in 15 games so far he is well on pace to score over 30 goals. Josho is most effective on the powerplay where opposing teams cringe whenever he is on the powerplay against them because they know he is likely to score.

Passing: Everyone will talk about Josho's scoring ability but his passing is just as strong as his scoring. His ability to find his team mates is one of the best in the league and as a rookie there is no doubt that he can still get better and that is scary for any team playing against Josho.

Skating: Josho is for sure one of the fastest players in the league, he is able to blow by players in a few strides. Watching Josho use his feet to score and pass is really a treat for everyone watching, except if you are the other team.

    Weakness
Physical: Josho is not a big guy only 5'9 170 lbs sometimes you can see him struggle when he is up against bigger players, he also is not the best guy in the corners but he can always improve.

Faceoffs: Even though he is listed as a center he plays wing most of the time, in part to his ineffectiveness in the faceoff circle. His coach has him in practice taking more faceoffs and working hard to improve on them to hopefully get him back to the middle of the ice where he can really improve. With his speed and the ability to win most faceoffs Josho would be one of the most dangerous players in the league.

Josho has a real chance to be the best rookie in the VHLM this year. Josho also I think will be a dominant player in the VHL when drafted for years to come.

I want to begin by thanking @Prout for his time as my AGM. It was short, but he was an incredibly valuable asset to me and San Diego during his tenure. Prout has decided to officially step down as the AGM of San Diego. I won't go into detail about this decision, but I will say that it had nothing to do with discipline or lack of willingness to work hard. Sometimes, life gets in the way. While I would love for Prout to stay on, I respect his decision and think it was incredibly mature and honorable of him to reach out to me as he did.

    Prout, thank you.
    ----

    Now, on to business.

I'm am now looking for a new AGM! Someone who is willing to work, to be active and hype up the team. With San Diego turning over management after 10 seasons under @InstantRockstar we have quite the challenge ahead of us. But, I'm confident that under the right management we will be able to make San Diego a team that everyone wants to play for.

If you are interested in being my AGM and working alongside me, please send me a DM either here or in Discord and I'll be sure to send you some interview questions!

I think this graphic is just awesome! Its super clean, looks great and just overall grabs my attention. The king in the background is for sure the best part. It really blends in perfectly with with the picture and I love the colors that you chose to use for the letters. Overall this is one the best graphics I have seen on here so far. If I were to change anything about it I would just want it to be bigger that way even more attention would be drawn to it but overall amazing!!

    Brendan Telker
    The Journey
Brendan Telker has had a very short but sweet career in the VHLM. It started when he signed for Minnesota late into S75 when he became and eligible free agent. Telker said he was just about to head home from hockey practice when he got the call that a couple of teams would be interested in signing him. Minnesota intrigued Telker because they were the first team to offer him third line minutes. That is when Telker made an impressive showing with 11 points in the final 10 games for the Storm. Luckily for Telker, he was drafted back to the Storm going 10th overall. The off-season is where he did a lot of work in an attempt to get as many minutes as possible for S76, and so far that's working out. Telker has been on the first line for the Storm and has so far flourished with 18 points (11G, 7A) in the first 8 games. Telker's best on paper performance was probably his first game this season when he put up 4 goals and 2 assists.  "Things have been going really well here for me in Minnesota. I was watching the live stream and I was super happy to be drafted by the team that gave me a chance in the first place." Said Telker.
    Strengths
Passing- Telker has had the odd blip game here and there for pass accuracy, but his worst game has only been 69% pass accuracy. He still has had plenty of games with 80%+ pass accuracy. Telker has 7 assists through his first 8 games.
Scoring- Lighting the lamp has been a breeze for Telker so far. With 11 goals through his first 8 games, shooting is probably Telker's greatest strength.
Defending- This would be Telker's 2nd biggest strength in general. 75 defending is his 2nd highest attribute. It shows on the ice as well, he will often get his pass interception numbers into double digits more games then not.
    Weaknesses
Checking- Telker struggles to really throw around his 6'3, 190 pound body mass. While he hits less often, he is better at using his skating ability to intercept passes or get to lose pucks, rather then get them by hitting a player.
Faceoffs- While he doesn't normal sign up to be at the faceoff dot, Telker finds himself there a decent amount from time to time. This is due to the amount of minutes he has to play in general, making him more likely to be thrown in the dot. His faceoffs have been very patchy this year, either having decent games, or not so good ones.

I'm super excited about this Ottawa team we have going so far. At first, I was tempted to write this year off. Losing our first round draft pick is tough, but we still had most of our other picks, and it's an excellent opportunity to build something great for the future! We've got @snackhero, a rock solid first line center. We've got @Blastmeaway on the wing. We've got @Barry holding it down in the net, and @Joshothegreat , @Rhenry707, @Lvhockeybest6, and @Aivarszz playing hungry and getting better every game! The one thing we need is some defense. If we can pick up a few defenders, Ottawa is going to be unreal!

We recently picked up our first win of the season against Miami. The locker room was electric! I'm so excited because everyone is here, ready to play, and supportive of each other. It's a new era in the Ottawan Empire! There’s a bright future ahead of us!

It was not the result that the Ottawa Lynx were looking for in their first 2 games. An opening 8-2 loss to the Reapers and then followed that up with 7-4 loss to the Halifax 21st. But it was many firsts for many young players on the Ottawa team. Including 6th round draft pick Josho. Earlier in the season we asked Josho what his expectations were for the upcoming season and he said " I hope I can do every part for my team to be successful and win games". That definitely wasn't the case in game number 1 against the Reapers. The entire Ottawa team looked lost against one of the top teams in the league and Josho did struggle through most parts of the first game.

    Joshooo 0 0 0 -4 0 4 2 0 0 0 2/4 25:18 3:23 0:00
With a minus 4 rating and no points scored it was not the game that Josho was hoping for but he did play 25 minutes during the game which shows that the team does have confidence in what he can do. When asked about his performance he said " For sure I was nervous at first but as the game went on I really thought that I was hitting my stride late in the 3rd period but at that point it was to late obviously".  Josho gave his team mates praise for the game they played and not giving up even when being down by so much. But game 2 for the team as a whole was much better especially for Josho.

Game 2 was much closer for sure with a score of 7-4 and Josho was the best player for the Lynx that game hands down. with 2 goals and 3 points Josho really showed his true potential and what he can do in this league on any given night, he also logged 26 minutes of ice time just a minute more than the first game. Speaking with Josho he was very happy in the effort the entire team put it. When asked if he was happy to score his first goals and points of the season he said " Well of course I was happy to score my first goal but I am not worried about that right now, I am just worried about with getting back to practice working with the group and coming out even stronger next game. It is all about this team to me and I was really proud of the group and what we were able to do out there".

This Ottawa team is going to have some growing pains for sure because of how young of a group they are but they will be an exciting team to watch for sure. They take to the ice for the next game tomorrow 7ET against the Miami be sure to check out this great young team!
