  1. 1. With the season almost halfway through what can you take away from what’s happened so far? My point production being horrible compared to last season yet I know have btter stats than last season 2. The meta is one of the hottest debates going on in the VHL at the moment, what are your thoughts on it? F the Vancouver Wolves sums it up 3. Are you hyped for the return of the All star game? Hell yea 4. What is your favorite soft drink and why? Fanta exotic, IDK why but it's the pinnacle of soft drinks 5. If you could take the team to a concert of a musical artist of your choice who would it be and why? Would need to know who everyone likes first so I don't take them to a concert of songs they don't like 6. If you had to live with a teammate for the rest of your life who would you choose and why? Phil the rock Johnson. ALways working out and we could become gym buddies!
  2. For this seasons theme week we have to write about our dream team. I will go over why I chose out this team member for member, so here is my list: GM - Kristof Welch ( @Juice) ( @rory) ( @Daniel Janser) Jeffrey Pines - Daniel Janser - Gustislav Nasherov ( @Spartan) ( @Juice) Alex Letang - Kristof Welch ( @hedgehog337) Sirkants Klamasteris General manager - Kristof Welch The reason I chose Kristoff Welch as the general manager is simple, skill. With Gustislav Nasherov having Welch as his first ever AGM he got flabbergasted by how he was only an AGM. His skills were unforgettable, and with his trusty GM Hylands they were simply tacticians greater than Napoleon himself. Having such a manager on this team will take them to heights they've never felt before. The tactical plays will be immaculate and with the squad he posses there is no team with any sort of chance against him, this means that we are going to go to the finals at least every single year. Left Wing - Jeffrey Pines There is no need to explain on what Pines has done in his career. He is an icon to the whole VHL community and when you think of people you want on your team Pine pops up instantly. With the legacy behind him opponents will have to think twice before they try to defend him. There needs to be a whole strategy to stop him, and if there isn't then the chances of the puck not going into the goal and the buzzer sounding is close to zero. With such personality and skillfull playstyle he will contribute with offense and the intimidation of opponents making them fear of what to come when he has the puck. Being on this team and this line he will put up 100+ points with ease, if he really would try to score as many as possible in a season he could be very close to the 200 point mark and beat records old and young in true Jeffrey Pines style. Center - Daniel Janser Janser is still only in his first season in the VHL but is showing true all star traits. There is absolutely nothing that can stop the Swiss born train from grabbing the puck and making sure no one is playing with no manners. in the VHLE he put up 184 hits in a mere 52 games. Thats an average of 3,5 hits per game. With such a hard working player on the team no one will try to mess with anyone on there, and if they did then they will understand to never EVER do it again. He will contribute with leadership to the team and making sure no opponent gets too rough and putting them into place. And with time when Janser Right Wing - Gustislav Nasherov Gustislav Nasherov is a force to be reckonned with. It's the same as with Jeffrey Pines. Do not leave him alone, you need to stop him immediately. And then you have Pines on the same line with him, thats when the oppositions defense starts ti crumble. Having to defend both Jeffrey Pines and Gustislav Nasherov at the same time is as hard as having to defend Gretzky and Lemieux at the same time, it's not possible. WIth these two players linking up it will be hard to stop their clap clap boom attacks thats makes the sport of hockey look like a kids game. WIth the addition of Danioel Janser too no one will have the guts to even play the slightest rough with them, because if they do then they will feel the Swiss wrath. Left Defense - Alex Letang The Canadian defense monster is not a player you can take lightly, also being a very physical defender as Janser he is even more physical. In only 2 seasons he amassed a total of 597 hits. Thats also about 3,5 hits a game. In a season thats 72 games long. Not only are those stats insane but in one of those two seasons he managed to score 119 points. Having a defender that can play on the physical side and also score points is a player everyone wants on their team. Especially me. Now imagine both Letang and Janser putting fear into every opponent. WIth both of them on the ice not even the opponents entire team would want to lay a finger on them or their teammates. Right Defense - Kristof Welch Kristof Welch is Gustislav Nasherov's best friend. With the link up between those will be immaculate. The chemistry alone will make the points fall in like a waterfall, and no one can stop them. They are truly the ultimate duo of this team and with Welch's leadership abilites (and high tpe count) the opposition will have no chance, wether they are playing defense or offense. No matter they are they have no chance. And with the others in the team no one will stand a chance to stop the dream team. No one. With the routine of Welch and Letang there are basically zero people that can stop such defensive beasts on 1v1, 2v2, 3v2, 4v2 even 5v2. They are simple unstoppable beings made to make the goalers job as easy as it could get. Goaltender (goaler) - Sirkants klamasteris People say that the goalie is the most important position in hockey and to have a succseful team you need to start from the back with an amazing goalie. And so I chose the Calgary goalie Klamasteris. WIth an average save percentage of 0.920 and 3 Goals allowed per game average throughout 9 (!!!) seasons he will shut down the leagues best attackers. Under the very rare circumstances that both Welch and Letang aren't home on defense there is no need to worry. Because the shooter has no chance against the Latvian beast. He almost wants for it too happen so he can get to play some exciting hockey because in 5v5 on defense the shots thats most regular goalers would let in are not more than routine stops for him. That's my dream team that would go 72-0 in a vhl seasons and sweep the playoffs.
  3. Ain't hard to see which team their on at least lol
  4. Review: With a quick look this is an awesome graphic! The background is awesome because it fits in with the rest of the colors, same with the text. It's colors are perfect for the background and the player. The players jersey is very well colored as it also fits in with the scheme. But within further inspection the renders head looks weird. It's low quality, I usually don't care about quality as much because you can't really do much against it but this time the face looks a little too low quality. I would recommend to put it a little further out to make it as crisp yet as well placed as possible. Well done 7/10
  5. Review: The background is absolutely stunning! One of the best. The text is also top tier. It fits in with the background splendidly. The left render also fits in very nicely, it is very well shaded and is not too dark yet not too bright which I have to give you props for. Although the right one is not my favorite, the helmet sticks out too much for my taste. If maybe you could've made it a little less shiny then the graphic would've been ultra superb. Well done! 9/10
  6. What if…… injuries What if teams are rewarded for having the team with more depth. Instead of being able to win a cup with only 2 or 2,5 lines the players who play the absolutely most have a chance to get injured for a game, maybe even two! (Excluding goalies of course). This would reward a team for having a wide roster. Maybe even change the way the meta is used, don't want to be the top notch player because you know you'll get playtime and get injured. That doesn't mean that you would get injured every other game you play. If you play 24/25+ minutes each game you earn a 10 or 15% chance of being injured for a game or two. The percentages can be changed of course. I would like to see how that would change the competitive scene. Maybe it will make the VHL a whole new thing!
  7. / TO CLAIM FOR WEEK ENDING 02/20// 1. Are you currently happy with your players stats so far this season? Why or why not? No, have not been playing to my full potential and need to do better 2. What are your thoughts on the return of trivia? Do you like the new format? I love it! One of the most fun ways to earn tpe 3. The AGM spot is opening up, will you be applying? If not, who would you like to see join the team as AGM? Nope, and I have no idea. Preferably someone who is a nice person 4. Do you prefer the team bus or the team plane for road games in North America? Bus. Much easier to sleep and to talk with your teammates. You don't have to rely on the plane having wifi either 5. Who has impressed you the most on the Wranglers so far? Reinhart. Absolute unit 6. How much influence does a persons name have over the course of their life? I have no idea. Never thought of that before
  8. We're back with a new interview with Calgary's Gustilav Nasherov Things has not become much better since the last interview. Why? As I said in my last interview, what I needed to do is forget about those bad games and think of every game as a new opportunity. That hasn't been going the way I wanted to. Some people may think that just deciding to switch your mindset is a thing you can do easily and quickly, however they are very wrong. You need to change your way of thinking and the way you approach things as a whole. That takes a really long time and only 1 merely week will be enough time for you to do that, at least not for me. Maybe for other athletes they can change this really easily and within a short period of time. But everyone's different and that is what makes us unique as humans. Give me more time to do this and I will with 100% certainty do that. How long it will take is unknown to me as I have not done this before but it will happen eventually. Until that I have to make the best out of the situation and be as helpful to the team as humanly possible, as Long as I do my very best every game then I can't and won't complain about how many points I am putting up every game, because at the end of they day my points do not matter, the wins the team gets do. Even when you don't produce as many points the team still seems to win games, why? Because we have depth. That is the difference between a team that has 1 star line and a team that has depth. If that line starts having a rough time and does not produce as many points as usual then the whole team will suffer. If the same thing happened to the team with depth then it would not even be remotely close as a problem. Because then the other lines will be able to produce for the team and win games. I am not saying that my whole line is playing poorly, just me, and I was just trying to put into perspective on how much better it is to have a squad with depth instead of having one line that scores 90+ of points per game or even season. And when the time comes that I will be back to my usual ways then we will be able to be dominant in games. Because when we have depth like we do and the star players that we do then we have a big chance to go very deep into the playoffs and challenge for that trophy. That is why I'm not too concerned about how I am playing right now, if this would have been in the playoffs then I would need to better myself ASAP. Thanks for the interview once again Nasherov! Bye! See ya! Bye
  9. Nasherov is starting to play "shaky", why? I have no idea. But it's not fun. Seeing your player performing awesomely at the start of the season then being down right bad sucks. Why isn't the sim engine more consistent? Why isn't the sil engine more realistic? Why do we still use STHS? It is renowned throughout the community that it has it's questionable sims A LOT. But there's nothing done about it other than complaining about it for a day, maybe even two? Why not explore the opportunity of using another engine that is more realistic and counters meta build and has the more realistic simming. Every player has a chance to produce points, even if you're not a 40 passing 99 scoring 99 defense consistently putting up 100 point seasons. I am sure that there is a better engine out there. Sincerely from an average VHL member who consistently has bad STHS sims
  10. TO CLAIM FOR WEEK ENDING 02/13// 1. As of this post, Nasherov is 10th overall in the league with points, do you think he can finish in the top 10 at the end of the season? Hell yea 2. Reylynn Reinhart is 4th in goals in the league with an impressive 12. Can she claim the top spot at the end? I believe so! She definitely has the capacity to do so 3. Calgary is off to a 6-4-2 start, do you think we should be doing better or do you think were where we should be at this point of the season? We could definitely be playing better but we are still playing good 4. If you could trade for any current VHL player to help the team win the cup, who would you trade for and what would the trade package look like? I have no idea tbh 5. What are your top 3 favorite books and why? Harry Potter books, case solving books and humor books are all good, pretty sure theres no need to explain why those 3 are good 6. If you were ever elected President/Prime Minister of your county, what would be the first thing you would do? De-elect myself lol.
  11. Nasherov interview Your hot start to the season has seized, what's the matter to that? I'm just not in my flow anymore, if anything I'm unlucky. Once you start playing 1 or maybe 2 games where you don't perform too well you start to bring that over into the next games, that's the matter for me. I was a little shaky and now I'm off my course for greatness. That doesn't mean that I will play like this for the whole season. All I need to do is to pick up my pace and try to forget the last couple of matches. If I can do that then I will be able to perform at the level I was playing at in the beginning of the season, maybe even better. The team has also had some unlucky games the last couple of days, close matches where we lost in ot or just a bad match in general but to fix that we only need to do one thing. We need to forget about those games and move on. If we do that then I can imagine nothing else than getting on that winning track again, and resuming to beating team after team, because I am pretty certain that we can defeat any team in the league if we play like we should, but we need to play as we should. If not then we won't stand as much of a chance. What do you want out of yourself and the team at the end of the season? Team wise I am pretty sure you know what we want to achieve. The cup. We have the team to do it and I believe we can. With last season's exit in game 7 of the semi finals against the eventual champions we are more pumped than ever to try to go the whole way and win it all, I want to do it, my linemates are pumped. Everyone is pumped. With such a mentality I believe that we can win it all. All we need to do is stay humble. The last thing we want is for everyone to be too pumped for the playoffs and exit too early, we need to be pumped but not too pumped if that makes sense. For personal goals it is the same as usual, to become better and better for as long as possible. At the start of the season it looked like I was about to set another personal record but now I'm in a bit of a hump. But all great athletes should be able to get out of such a hump and finish the season on top. Doing such a thing is far harder than anyone can expect, because once it starts going downhill it's hard to stop it. Some might argue that it is one of the hardest things in sports to overcome and I agree. Alrighty Nasherov thank you for answering my question, bye bye! Bye have a great time!
  12. Nasherov pulls of the unthinkable (at least I think so). Only playing 26 minutes which was least of the real players in the game vs the Helsinki Titans he was able to produce 4 helpers in a 5-6 loss in the shootout against the Titans. If he can get even more playing time then who knows what kind of points he could average and score in games, in this game alone he could have scored 5 points. Maybe even 6 if he had the chance to do so. The other Wranglers are also rolling on. A little bit of unlucky results but that have never stopped a team, I am sure that we have big chances for challenging for the cup this season. Maybe even win it? Either way I and the Wranglers are ready to pop off when we need it to try to take down any opposition infront of us. I believe that we can do it and so many in the squad do to, I am very excited for this season as always and especially for the playoffs.
  13. Review: Wow, this is awesome the background is too tier. Has a ton of stuff going on with it but it doesn't seem too crazy and also quite simple for my taste. It fits with basically any render as you easily showed here and could be re-used tons of times for different occasions. For example in a recruit message. If you would have had a "missing" person instead of the render you could easily use it for recruitment. It can also be used for squad announcements, very creative indeed. I also want to give props for how well you put the renders on there, they are well proportioned and you even swapped there logos, a thing only a true graphic pro would do. I really don't have anything to complain about her at all, well done. Keep doing these type on concepts! 9/10
  14. Review: A pretty simple graphic but still an awesome one! To start of with the background:. I really like it. Nothing too fancy but fits in perfectly, not too color bright and not too cold. The text is my favorite part, I have never seen such a format for it but I love it, it fits in with the "darker" theme and has that thin gold rectangle around it which is a thing I like. The only thing I can complain about in this graphic is then render, it's jersey just doesn't fit with the background and feels too warm for the others colors included. I would've preferred if you would have made the jersey color a little bit more red to match with the background, the graphic as a whole also looks a little blurry, but it is really hard to change such a thing so I can't complain too much. Well done! 7.5/10
  15. // TO CLAIM FOR WEEK ENDING 02/06// 1. The season is about to being for the Wranglers, predict our record for the first 10 games. 10-0 2. Has your player achieved everything they needed in the off-season to be ready for this upcoming season? Hell yea, I'm ready to dominate this season! 3. Name your top 3 scorers for the Wranglers this season Reinhart, Nasherov and maybe perry Not too smart on this part lol sorry 4. Are you participating in the VHFL this season? How is your team looking? If not participating...why not? I'm not participating because it's too much work for me 5. What’s the best / worst practical joke that you’ve played on someone or that was played on you? No idea lol, don't really remember any good ones tbh 6. What’s the funniest joke you know by heart None, not much of a jokester.
  16. Nasherov has begun the season in a hot way. In only 10 games he has scored 19 points for the team, we are here for an interview Hello Nasherov, what makes you this good this season? I would say that my teammates are the main reason I'm performing, with teammates you don't fit with are play with you you will perform bad. The teammates don't have to be all-star players, they can be half decent and still play very well with you. Not saying that my linemates are half decent because they are splendid hockey players individually. Bottom line is that I would be no where close to where I am now if I did not have teammates that fit my playing style, now that I have this teammates I am sure that both I and the team will keep rolling and winning games. Maybe even so far that we can challenge for the cup, but the playoffs are far away so we can't be certain just yet. Not saying that we won't qualify for the playoffs but you never know. A couple of long term injuries can really mess up a whole teams structure and core. What are your goals for this season along with Calgary's goals this season? My personal goal for this season is the same as when I joined the league. To be the very best player I can be and make the people around me the very best people they can be both on and off the ice. If you would've asked me about what I aimed towards point wise then I would be uncertain. I am always very unsure on how good I am compared to the rest of the league. Last season I did score 100+ points so my main goal would be to overcome that, it will be very hard though. Not saying that it is impossible just that I was having arguably my best ever season in my career and it's hard to top that. Usually players perform worse after a very successful season, but not everyone I might be apart of the group that perform better. Then maybe I could break my record and score 110? Maybe even 111? Who knows? All I know is that I am trying to become better and better every season to be the best me. For the teams goal I would say that is the cup, we were 1 game away from reaching the finals last season losiu to the eventual champions. This season I would say that we have an even better squad. I think that we can go the whole way, but as I said earlier, the playoffs are far away and we have a lot of work to do before we can start to think about the semi finals and the finals, but the time will come and we will try to win it at every cost. I'm pretty sure everyone in the squad wants to win it for their own personal reason but personally I want to win it for my hometown, to show that everyone can become a champion. No matter your background.
  17. Review: This one has its ups and downs but nonetheless I can see you tried and that's what matters! To start off the name is very good, fits into the color scheme and has a nice texture too it. The background is a bit too plain for my taste, I would've liked to have something there instead of just a white screen. I can see what you were trying to do with the jersey to make the logo swap fit better but it isn't there for my taste buds, it made the logo look create I'll give you that but the other parts of the jersey looks meh, it looks like that effect is only on some parts instead of the whole jersey, the dark blue/black part looks painted in too. Other than that I don't have much to say! Well done! Keep trying to improve and you will be awesome in no time 7/10
  18. Review: This one is absolutely awesome! It's a style I haven't seen being used before, maybe I haven't seen a graphic with fog ever! First of all I really like how all the colors match in this graphic, although black is a pretty easy color to match with you still impress me with the perfect shading of grey mixed into it. The render itself is awesome. I can't find any blatant mistakes in it, maybe only the visor on the helmet but that is very picky and not many can change that. The names is also very well done, it's positioned well and isn't too "flary" yet not too boring, the extra line at the bottom of it makes it better as well. Other than that I can't complain much! Well done 8/10
  19. I am excited for the coming season! With new faces in the Wranglers I really believe that we can make a dent in the standings and definitely in the playoffs, some even say that we can go the whole way which is another thing that would be awesome. It would be my first VHL cup and could complete my tri-cup which is a cup in the M, world juniors and the VHL. Note that the E did not exist when I created my player. After this season I will also have to go to free agency. That will be a wild ride and surely tons of hard decisions to be made. Or I just retire this season and don't deal with that, jk I most likely won't. Either way I can't wait for both the start and the Finish of this season. I've got a feeling that this season will be a special one.
  20. // TO CLAIM FOR WEEK ENDING 01/30// 1. Calgary drafted a positional need and took a goalie in tonight's draft, what are you thoughts on the pick? Anything Ricer does is big brain 2. Did you tune into the draft or did you have no interest in it? It's not that I don't care just that it is in uncomfortable timings for me 3. What will you be focusing on in the upcoming Wranglers training camp? Being an all around player 4. Calgary only has 2 D under contract, What 3rd D would you like to see come to Calgary to help us go after the cup? No one specific, I can make friends with anyone 5. How long does it take you to gear up before a game? 20 Min MAX 6. What three items would you take with you on a deserted island? Boat, GPS (locked onto closest land) and fuel for the boat
  21. The date is unknown and rookie Daniel Janser ( @Daniel Janser) is throwing a family friendly pool party at his house for his new teammates to build chemistry. Nasherov had one too many glasses of chocolate milk in his veins and he was a little trippy, thus he decided to do what he never imagined he would do. Play poker with real money against Dexter Vaughn ( @Flames1Fan) the poker specialist. To no one's surprise Nasherov got beat pretty badly time upon time. So many times that the original 100 dollars he had were in Dexter's hands. He of course did not want to end it on a bad note and took his car directly to the closest atm. He took out 10 000 dollars from his account and headed back with confidence of a lion to win the money back + more. Yet again he was dumbfounded by Dexter's poker skills. WIth a glass of chocolate milk in hand and fire in his eyes he got furious because of the embarrassing losses he had been dealt. This time he was so furious that he speeded to the same atm, but this time he did not take out 10 000 dollars, not 100 000 dollars but his whole fortune of 16.5 million dollars. He had sworn to himself that he would not leave the table until he had won back the money + more. Round after round, loss after loss. Nasherov just could not win a round against Dexter. Then he was down to his last 50 dollars. He decided to go all in to be able to win back 10 000 dollars of his newly lost money. Someway, somehow he won. His first win in ages. This triggered him, he thought to himself *This is where it turns around* and again went all in. Same thing happened, now he had 1 Million dollars. He continued to go all in, the game was going in his favour for a while, it looked like he was able to win yet again. But then it all turned, one bad draw and it all was gone. He was broke, no money no nothing. It was late at night and he did not have anymore money to try to win it all back. When he got home he laid in his bed sad, sad that his 4 years of hard work in the VHL were gone in a single night. When he woke up next morning there was only one thing that he could do to earn back his money. Pay raise. He sprinted for half an hour just to get to Ricer's ( @WranglersSuck) home in hopes of persuading him to give him a pay raise to 16 and a half million dollars for one season. He was ready to do anything just to get this done, any favour he could do or any condition he has to agree to he was ready to accept. After asking Ricer the question which answer could determine if he would have to sell his yearly supply of chocolate powder to be able to pay for normal food. With no surprise he got a definite no from the GM and thus he was ready to sell his choco powder. He decided to look at his bank account to see if all the money really was gone. When he opened the app his eyes were wide open. The money was still there. Was it all a dream? he quickly called Dexter to ask what happened that night. Supposedly it all did happen but the same night he NAsherov lost it all he got cash apped 16.5 Million dollars from Dexter because he did not feel like it was right to take so much money away from a poker beginner like Nasherov. Everything is good. Nasherov's bank account is still alive and his yearly supply of choco milk is still there.
  22. Smh Imagine not having the app for 1+ year. #ogappuser
  23. Wow! Thank you for 3 awards! I'm so Happy! Congratulations to everyone else for winning. Let's get the cup this season!!!!
  24. Nasherov goes back to Ängelholm to watch his childhood team Rögle play. He is greeted by lines upon likes of people wanting an autograph or wanting a picture. He is overwhelmed by the love he is getting. He never imagined that he would be the person young kids look up to one day, he never realized how big he actually was in Ängelholm. Going to Ängelholm made him realize how big he really is and what he really means to a non VHL club in Sweden. Because of this he considers joining Rögle once the time is right, because he wants to fulfill his dream that even little child Nasherov had. To win the swedish championship with Rögle. To go the whole way and lift the trophy, here the fans scream and feel the honor. Because no matter how successful you are anywhere you can't beat winning it all with your childhood club.
  25. Review: This is a concept I haven't seen before. I really like it, especially the pink and blue colors you played around with. I think that they are extra sick ok the text as you haven't done it the simple way by putting it vertically but instead horizontaly, which is something I don't see too often but I really like. What I would do is making the second name more visible, I could barely see it the first time I saw the graphic. I would also try to edit out that Toyota sponsor on the renders chest as it looks way too out of place. I could also give my opinion on the quality but that is one of the hardest things to change so I can't really complain. Good work! 8/10
