  1. I am enjoying Calgary, ever since I got traded there I've always had someone to talk to and there was always someone to talk about something with. Being in an LR like this really encourages me to earn tpe for my player, to make Gustislav Nasherov the best he can be for the team he plays for. The Calgary LR is something every discord should aim for. If this amount of activity was in every LR I'm sure the number of people joining will increase and the overall satisfaction of them too. For example, if I am bored I can ask Daniel in the LR for a fun fact that I did not know about. Usually it's about Switzerland. Then he tells me something that might be clear in everyones else's eyes but really a thing Switzerland does not have. For example, Switzerland to my surprise does not have a capital. If you want to know more about this fact/story you could always ask him and I'm sure he will gladly tell it to you.
  2. November 17th, the day Gustislav Nasherov got traded from his beloved Helsinki to cup-hunting Calgary, i will go through what both sides got from this trade and who it really benefited the most. Background: Helsinki had been rebuilding for the past few seasons after Jubis left for his last season as the GM. The new GM Razor made the decision to officially start the rebuild. Old players were getting traded for 1st rounders and there was close to no one left, except. 1 rookie named Gustislav Nasherov, being drafted the season before made him an unnoticeable player in the game. As the seasons went on he became better and better, he was moving too fast for the rebuild and was too old for the team. With the seasons following draft Helsinki was on their way to draft with 3 1st rounders, and Nasherov did not fit in with the new and younger team and needed a new home. A more competitive home. Calgary Was in a strong position, with players who were ready to take the extra step in the playoffs and were without a doubt eyeing that cup. The group with the quality players had one issue, not enough offensive players who knew what winning a cup was like. Having that formula has 1 easy solution, a trade giving a forward for a more experienced forward. But the main object was to find who to trade with. Gustislav Nasherov was a perfect target, he was too old for the squad and was looking for a cup. What more could calgary need? Who initiated the trade? There are 2 solid answers to this question. Mainly I think it was Calgary and Kricer. Hunting for the cup and needing a forward who was in his later years makes sense that he initiated the trade. It was just what he needed for a complete squad and Helsinki also needed to "get rid" of Nasherov. Helsinki needed to "get rid" of Nasherov. Helsinki needed out with Gustislav because of the tpe and age difference. This leads to the theory that Helsinki GM Razor initiated the trade, he knew that Helsinki couldn't keep nasherov and began scouting for teams that could benefit of having a player of his tpe and age, there he saw the team. Calgary, they were going for the cup and Razor noticed they could use an older and more experienced forward. Proposing the idea to Ricer who was intrigued to be given a chance to unite with the most humble, awesome and handsome Gustislav Nasherov. of course he would accept such a trade. Who won the trade? Calgary receives: Gustislav Nasherov S81 CGY 1st S81 DAV 2nd Helsinki receives: Alex Johnston S81 LAS 1st S81 LAS 2nd The trade looked like this and had most notably: a CGY first going to Calgary along with Nasherov in exchange for LAS first and Alex Johnston to Helsinki. Like every trade, there are two sides of the coin, in this case both teams won in their own way. Helsinki got a younger forward who is going to enter his prime years when Helsinki prospects are ripe enough to start eyeing that cup, a leadership presence. A player to look up to and a player Helsinki likely will have in their first line if they decide to keep him. They also got LA's 1st round pick this year. LA looks to have established a position in the middle of the table and have the chance, although a small one to get a high pick next years draft. From Helsinki's point of view this is a trade helping them with the rebuild and getting a player that could lead the team with their team spirit and knowledge. Calgary Are looking for the cup and needed an older player who knew what it was like playing in the top lines and competing for cups, Nasherov was a great fit for that in addition of Helsinki needing to "get rid" of an older player as Gustislav. Calgary also got back their first round pick this year but as they most likely will finish in the top of the table it hold practically no use, could be used in a way to add a small sprinkle of trade value for a future trade if they feel the need to acquire someone else. :Side note, I am sick while writing this so I am in knowledge that is one of my worse media spots. Sorry.
  3. The World Cup is about to begin! Who do you think will win it all? Canada no question about it 2. Were you called up to the world cup? If so how are you feeling? If not, do you want to eventually be called up in your career? Nope, yeah that would be awesome to represent my country one day 3. Calgary has made some big trades this off-season, what are your thoughts on the 2 trades that have happened so far? Big trades, ricer is a good trader so good trades 4. Calgary has upgraded the back end, do you believe this is what was needed to help push the Wranglers closer to a cup win? A better defense always helps! 5. What are your early predictions on where Calgary will finish? Why do you think your prediction will be correct? I have no idea tbh. I don't have enough insight on the rest of league to make an estimation 6. If you didn’t have to work to make money, how would you spend your time? What would you do, or create? Learning new skills would definitely be fun. Or starting loooooong projects that will take months to complete
  4. Review: I like what you're going for. Although I would e cut out the player and put him in a different background, idk if it's just personal preference but I would like to see it with a background that doesn't look to realistic, if you could've done that I would've like the sig more. That doesn't mean it's bad! I like the style your going for and I really dig the text, it matches with the jersey and it's not too "crazy" like some others can be. Overall well done! 7/10
  5. Review: If you sled proclaim yourself as bad and then go on to make this I would lower my expectations, you've got a bright future making sigs if you keep improving. The black and white makes a simple looking effect which is not too hard to pull off so I give you props on that. The text is also simple but good, if you don't have much experience you shouldn't try yourself on super complicated sigs yet rather keep it some like you did. I would've like to see the logo put on the helmet for a cleaner look as the Miami logo just looks out of place. Well done! Keep improving and you be excellent in no time! 7/10
  6. Reason why Gustislav Nasherov should become captain for the Calgary Wranglers. 1. Always maxes his capped tpe on a Sunday night! This shows how lazy he can be also how non-inspiring he is most of the time. But hey Sunday night tpe is just as good as Monday morning TPE so what does it matter? 2. I can talk on and on about my hate for the Växjö Lakers and also talk on and on about why Cam and Chris abbot are top 5 GM and coach duos to have ever lived. This proves my ability for talking about stuff and complain about the ref 3. I'm Swedish. Hoggy and Petterson are Swedish and play for the Canucks, who is the only person who can rug this vote? That's right the Canucks fan river himself. Mind tricking him into rigging the selection proves my abilities to get into opponents and ref's head which can benefit our game drastically
  7. Phil the rock johnson. Possibly the most original name in the history of the VHL, retired and has become a bodybuilder. He idolizes to be like his twin Dwayne the rock Johnson who was born a whopping 4 seconds after him (!?!?). beginning the journey to absolute muscle mass is a task many fail to accomplish, especially without a goal. Although he had a goal. 99% muscle 1% Brain. A task that seemed so impossible not even his brother Dwayne had the nerves or dedication to fulfill. A task so enduring that not even a human-sized blobfish made out of nuclear pasta does not stand a chance. BUT! Phil had endured a pain so deep that not even a human-sized blobfish made out of nuclear pasta could endure. Listening to me and Daniel Jenser talk about european hockey and other european traditions in the LR mindlessly spamming it without the intention to do so. With the amount of strength he gained from that alone no task nor human-sized blobfishes made of nuclear pasta in the world could stop him. He was ready to start his journey to absolute domination in the bodybuilding world. Starting out on this journey he was missing the key component needed to obtain this mind blowing goal. A shake weight, the only piece of equipment you will ever need. It trains several different key muscles in a fun and useful way. Thus he went to his local Walmart and picked one up. Acquiring this component was key for his goal and success in his crazy task to consist of 99% muscle and 1% brain. His first workout with the shake weight was the most painful, he did simply not have the natural strength to perform such motions. But he did not give up, hour after hour, day after day it became easier and easier until he simply was too powerful for the beginner weight shake. He went back to his walmart but this time bought the the "impossible" shake weight instead. The cashier noticed him and was surprised to see someone actually become too strong for the beginner level, thus he said "Wow! you're a natural at this!" which he replied with "Hard work beats talent!". After driving home with his brand new shake weight he was too excited to start working out. So excited that he did not have the patience to go to the toilet to execute a number 2. He got addicted. Hour in and hour out he was shaking and shaking until his body could not tolerate the shaking anymore and thus it was done. He had acquired absolute muscle domination.(FYI this is a shake weight) Absolute muscle domination had been obtained and he has become the ultimate being, nothing could stop him, not even a human-sized blobfish made of nuclear pasta. His brother Dwayne was too scared of this ultimate being and instantly became jealous, he asked Phil for advice and suddenly Phil started walking away, not through the door but through the wall the door was on, he muttered "Shake Weight is the answer to everything" by the sheer amount of coolness Phil had produced was on a level a little too high, his twin Dwayne was left speechless. He too also wanted to become a professional shake weighter with Phil as his idol. Phil lived in peace with no one having the nerves to object him nor make him angry. He later ran for president and won because no one could resist him, all the world problems were solved and Phil was carved into history as the greatest president ever and most importantly, the best shake weighter ever. Calgary here I come! Thanks for my time in Helsinki! Truly one to remember
  9. Where is trivia? No but seriously where is it? I have not been too involved with the league in the recent month or two due to school reasons and one thing I notice is that trivia is gone. Why? If the trivia god cannot do it I'm sure there are plenty of other people that can fill that role and teach us more about the history of the Vhl, it's also an easy 2 tpe for us and also arguably the most fun tpe to earn, you almost get to feel as a detective to try to find clues that leads you to a final answer. Even if it was without tpe I would also do it as I enjoy it tons. Almost like a little side quest to do or just a small little mini game for you to have fun in. It also teaches the newer Vhl members more about the history, not saying that I am a particularly old Vhl member just that I know more about it's history than I would've without the trivia.
  10. Review: These type of graphics are my favorites! They easily show what happened in a "fun" and creative way. This can also be used to announce larger trades like this one in a more interesting way than just posting a text about it. The lighting is also well done, slightly more blue shaded to the right and more red shaded to the left. There really isn't much to complain about here! 9/10
  11. Review: I really like this! First off the colors really appeal to me, the extra circle with the same player celebrating is something I've never seen before and I really like it. The lightning bolt is also well placed and we'll blended in, not too obvious and not too hidden. Well done! 8/10
  12. Fox news back with another interview with The one The only Gustislav Nasherov!!!!! Helsinki got both the first and second draft pick in the upcoming draft! What was your first reaction when you heard the news? A little bit of backstory first. When the draft lottery was supposed to be held we were practicing with our team. Last week when we knew when it would be we all rushed to our coach begging to be let off just to watch it. But no matter how hard we tried we got denied. Even when we kept asking day after day. The day of the lottery our coach made a deal with us stating that if one of us could go bar down first try from the blue line we would be able to put the Livestream on the speakers in the arena. Every single one of us were ecstatic about the opportunity we were given. But then the real problem occured. Who will take the shot? There were many discussions, first it leaned towards our goalie but then at last it was decided, I myself would take the shot. I line up at the blue line with a stick, a puck and a dream. I take the shot, I miss… But someway somehow he got distracted on his phone, we took this opportunity in hand and the person standing next to the goal quickly passed the puck back for another chance for me to take. Now our coach sees us and I take the shot again. I hit the crossbar!!! Everyone was cheering and I felt like a hero. After that we got to hear the Livestream on the speakers as promised, and as the first ball was picked everyone stood silent listening. "The first overall pick in the VHL draft goes tooooo…." Tensions started building "THE HELSINKI TITANS!!!!" Everyone was cheering, even though it was only us there it felt like we were surrounded by fans. And as if things couldn't get better shortly after they also announced that we would also get the 2nd overall pick in the draft, truly a practice to remember. With no doubt we will be looking back at the practice happily for seasons to come. I see, a very fun story! Moving on. What are you practicing this off season? This off-season I'm trying to become a way more complete player, to be able to help backwards and forwards, I would like to be able to stay effective no matter where I am ok the ice, if I am able to do that I can lend a big extra hand to our defense and goalie to hopefully stop more goals from being scored. But some PP training ain't so bad either, it's always fun to train PP. Really makes you bring out the true goal scorer in you. Alrighty thank you Nasherov and have a great day! You too! See you on draft day and take care so you can interview me some more!
  13. Presser for 11/14 1) Well, everyone's favorite AGM is sick. Would you rather be bedridden for a day and then be fine, or be kinda sick for a full week? One day, after that day you'll forget about it, if you are kinda sick for a week you lose all energy and that's much worse imo. 2) What is your go-to comfort food and/or activity while you are sick? Pizza and hockey never fails. 3) What is your least favorite symptom to have while sick? Filled nose, impossible to breathe normally. 4) Are you a board game person? What's your favorite? I'd say so, monopoly is always fun or a trivia game wouldn't fail me either 5) Looking forward to the draft, Helsinki is looking pretty stacked at picks. What do you think the priorities should be? Really make sure you want those people on your team. The last thing we'd want is to trade them 6) Now that there is another league (VHLE), do you think the VHL draft has more or less meaning? Less, not by a large margain but since there's one more draft happening there won't be as much hype. But there is still plenty of hype for it
  14. I like the concept you're going for here and I really dig it. A card type for every season or big event happening in the world would be nice. The render you chose fit perfectly for the image. Overall I really like the background all around, it fits the them but isn't all-out screaming Halloween. Although what I think you could've done better is the coloring of the render. It doesn't look the best to be quite honest but I can see that you tried and that's what counts! Well done! 7/10
  15. I like what you've done with the idea of a new type of graphic. Not only does the jersey look good but the background you added to it was something I've never seen before and I love it. Although what I think you should've done is make the jersey a bit more highlighted as it feels like the snow is one layer above the jersey, other than that well done! 8/10
  16. How to recover from STHS making your team lose against a team 10X worse than you. 1. Complain about how BS the simulator is in several different chats 2. Make and fine statistics showing your team was 10X better than the opposing one's. 3. Make one/several posts about the stats showing your team was 10X better 4. Forget about it and live a happy life in the VHL (E) (M) until the same stuff happens again and you question why we use such a simulator that is so inconsistent and let's you play with only 1 real player. 5. Repeat until you literally just don't care anymore how good your player is and pray to whomever you believe in that next sim Simon will grant mercy to your team and give wins. If he died give you wins then don't stop praying ever, whatever comes in your way is unimportant. Online wine league Simon is the chosen one.
  17. Better late then never? Presser for 11/7 1) Who do you think is the best hockey player in the world? Rn? Probably mcdavid 2) Will anyone ever be better than Gretzky? I'd like to think that any first liner in an NHL team would absolutely demolish the league back when Gretzky played, the amount of things people can do now that they could do when he played is insane, for example if someone like mcdavid played back then the defensemen would simply have no chance, he is simply too good and has too many Deje options for that times defense. Same with if you'd put Gretzky in today's league. He would for sure be good but no where near mcdavid or Ovechkin good. 3) What is the worst thing a teammate can do? Be a selfish pri- puck hog. 4) How do you feel about the future of the VHL? Idk, schools been hitting up tins lately, tons of important choices to be made. But hopefully I can continue. 5) Guess how many players you will have when your time in the VHL is over? Jeez, no idea. I mean theoretically the VHL could end tomorrow, or it might not end in a 100 years. Who knows? 6) What is your favorite number? 8.
  18. Gustislav Nasherov! Our favorite Swede, one more interview coming your way! The draft you've been hyping up a ton is just around the corner. How do you feel about that? Ah yes, the draft. I am very excited about it, we've got tons of first round picks and 2nd round picks so it will for sure be a party up here in Helsinki. Wouldn't be too unlikely if we would throw a draft party at someone's house, either way this draft will grant us tons of top tier rookies. It will be a night to remember for sure. Are there any specific players you want to be drafted by Helsinki? Not at the moment, there are tons of people and it's hard to choose one. I do prefer defensemen as they have always been a funny guy to me. In my first club (Mexico) the defensemen were always the people who made me laugh the most. I don't know if it's something with just that team but ever since I've felt like the D-men always are a little more funny than other teammates. Now that doesn't mean the GM should draft a D man just for my sake. But in all honesty I wouldn't complain about a new defensive friend. Likewise any new friend that will join the team. I just can't wait for "that" night, new friends to the team, hopefully some top class prospects and a huge party for the team and the staff to watch the draft. Do you think playoffs are within reach in the next couple of seasons? Oh definitely yeah, with the draft this season we will bring in some top tier rookies for sure, from that we can add them along with some more "veteran" players to lead the way for them. Then they can become amazing players and then those amazing players along with us older players will create an absolute powerhouse, with that kind of power we could have it would not be too surprising if we would be able to make it to a continental cup final. Hell we might even win it, but for now we just focus on the draft and the rookies we bring in. It all starts from there, after that we can start building on them and make them into quality players and also amazing friends. From that point we can start really trying to reach that playoff spot in the first place and build on from there. Either way the ultimate goal as for any team in the league is to win that continental cup and have a banner raised in the arena. I myself also want a banner to be raised and it would be even more meaningful if that banner had my name on it. If that would ever happen then I could happily retire knowing I did what I could. Alright thank you Gustislav! We on fox news are also looking forward to the draft night and can't wait! All the best luck in the off season!
  19. Farmer ferk >. Always gave good for free, a real homie to say the least
  20. @bigAL I sense you've made a mistake forgetting about the single best Swede here? I did trick or tpe in your DMS. Hugely disappointed in this behavior, and I think you need glasses.
  21. So a cool little fact that I noticed about my player are my goals and assists count, they are exactly the same. 36-36, I have no idea if this happens often or not but either way it is a cool little thing that I noticed and thought I'd share with you guys about. Would honestly be a lot cooler if it would end up like that at the end of a season, especially if you would were to get high points total. You could also add a "perfectly even" achievement which you get by finishing a season with 50 goals and 50 assists totaling up to 100 points, would make it really fun to try to finnes and manipulate the engine to do that, could also maybe add a 10 tpe bonus if you do that, it doesn't really have to be anything big just a small little detail on the top of a cake of a thing
  22. Review: Alright to start off the color scheme is just absolutely beautiful, maybe the best I have ever seen here, I absolutely love it. The text is also a huge upside with the sig, it's clear you spent time on it and it is worth it 100% imo. Good text is looker over these days. Overall this sig comes in at my top 10 ever, amazing job! 9/10
  23. Review: I really like the theme you're going for here, with the philly colors matching well with it too, the jerseys main color doesn't really match the logos main color which is just a slight thing tbh. It is also always nice to see these kind of appreciation posts for your teams leadership and teammates, which is heartwarming for me. Good job! 7/10
  24. esser for 10/24 1) Do you follow the NHL? If so, how has your favorite team started and why is it the Sharks at 4-0? I don't follow the NHL so a skip in this one 2) If you could change your life and be a professional hockey player right now, would you? If course! It would be sick to be a hockey player 3) Predict what day I will do the press conference for for next week? Monday morning 4) Who do you think will take home the Continental Cup this season? I have no idea tbh 5) Do you like soup? If so, what is your favorite, if not, why? I like vegetable soup a lot, it tastes way better than ut sounds 6) Tell me your favorite fun fact about yourself I like tacos wayyyyy to much
  25. Welcome back to the most famous news page ever! With yet another interview with Gustislav Nasherov! How do you feel about your point production so far? I am really happy about it, with 74 points total with goals and assists being split precisely, 37-37. I didn't even notice that my goals and assists were equal until a teammate of mine told me they were, really funny not going to lie. But for my total points I can not complain about it. With getting tons of minutes on the ice I am happy with my production and my +/- too. But as usual I couldn't do it without my awesome teammates! Without them I wouldn't have enough energy to go out there every night to play games and maintain my quality, and I am very truly thankful for that and I could not wish for better teammates, I love them. It is also very good for me to see that the coach is trusting me with the minutes and me doing well on them. It can really help our relationship and so we can rely on each other more. Not saying that we don't just that it could be better, hell if I really become good friends with him I can maybe also get that C role too, although it doesn't really matter that much to me anyways so either way I'd be happy. Missing the playoffs once again, how do you feel about that? To be honest I don't don't really care too much, even if we did qualify for the playoffs we would not have much to do there anyways, to be brutally honest we would probably get swept in the first round which isn't fun at all. But as I've said before: Once we get out of our rebuild face we will be dominating the Vhl scene. The rookies we have right now are showing great potential and our draft picks will surely help us draft tons of new promising prospects, then we will together as a team be able to make them as good as possible and be able to go for some cup runs which I am looking forward to. But missing the playoffs doesn't really worry me at the moment, good things take time and rushing to get to those things doesn't help at all. I'd rather prepare for it for a long time then be absolutely amazing at it when it's showtime. I am sure that that is what will happen with Helsinki, when we get our prospects to their peak we will strike hard and win tons of games which I hope will lead to a cup, which is of course the ultimate goal for any GM, coach or player. I am just so excited for what our future holds and I just can't wait to get there. Almost as if I want to invent a time machine to travel there instantly! Alright thank you for your time Nasherov! Thank you for the interview!!!!
