  1. C - (S87) Randy Bobandy Career Reflection Randy Bobandy is a 6'4, 220lbs centreman entering his 4th season of the VHL with the Seattle Bears. Bobandy has had a respectable career throughout his first three seasons so far and only looks to grow more. The East Coast Canadian was selected 4th overall in the S87 VHL Entry Draft to the Seattle Bears and quickly entered the locker room that following season, skipping the path of an extra season developing as most players do. Bobandy was a hot topic and new face to the VHL on a franchise known for long history of success. Excited and nervous, the young burger guzzler laced them up for the first time in the pros and it's been a fun a ride up to this point. S87 Randy Bobandy's rookie season came in a hurry. After hoisting the Renaissance Cup in S86 with the Oslo Storm and winning the Florida Man Trophy for Playoff MVP, Bobandy was playing under the spotlight just one season later. With a strong roster of veteran forwards in Seattle such as Hulk Hogan 2, Tavish DeGroot and Vasile Lamb, Bobandy didn't feel the pressure of needing to perform like a top 5 pick right away. The second line center role was a perfect fit for Bobandy and even saw playing time with DeGroot and Lamb occasionally. This first season was a huge stepping stone on the path of growth for Randy and his stats were great! Reaching one point shy of 50, comparing to (the only other two S87 players to "skip" to the VHL in S87) Mac Atlas' 46 points and Skor McFluery's 42 points, I would say Bobandy shot the lights out. An impressive rookie season in my own books which I am very proud of. S87 Randy Bobandy HUT Rookie Card S88 After shaking the jitters off in S87, Bobandy entered his sophomore season with the Seattle Bears once again playing the second line center role. Once again, Bobandy needed the lack of spotlight and pressure to shine, reaching 60 points and well as hitting the 40 mark for assists. Another season of development for Bobandy but not for the Bears as they would go on to reach the S88 Continental Cup Finals against the London United. To be on such a big stage while being so young in your career is eye opening. The noise, the emotions, the two teams knowing one will walk away with it all, and one with nothing. After losing in game 7 with a 3-1 series lead in our hands, Bobandy felt defeated. From such a high rush of one game away to glory followed by three games of misery. You can't grow as a player or even as a person without bad things or problems to overcome. Bobandy was determined to step his game up after the two strong seasons of experience he had gained. S88 Off-Season Bulk. Randy 45" of pure cheeseburgers S89 During the S88 off-season, Randy Bobandy decided to improve his physical game which resulted in a bulk. Bobandy grew 15 pounds and increased his checking abilities like crazy. The natural strength of his figure was known but the extra muscle mass created a fright train on wheels. Bobandy worked hard on his hands and playmaking ability as well, wanting to become known more as a future star for Seattle instead of the kid who's still growing. Bobandy collected 71 assists for 90 points in 72 games. A plethora of career highs were smashed and Bobandy's overall game improved immensely. Bobandy and the Bears didn't fair well in their playoff run, being beaten out by the New York Americans in 6 games. This loss didn't come as hard as the S88 Finals did. Bobandy was proud of his S89 accomplishments and knows that S90 will be the season he needs to step up and become a Franchise name in Seattle. Mainly veterans are retired or moved to another team, so Bobandy's got some big shoes to fill. Future For Bobandy Randy Bobandy plans to continue his career with the Bears after signing a 3 year Mutual offer in S89. Seattle has been a strong foundation for Bobandy's growth as he pushes on with his quest to become the best Playmaking Center of the hybrid era. Bobandy is determined to have hands like Datsyuk, playmaking of Draisatl, and the physicality of Byfuglien. A cup to come to Seattle is the goal in the next three seasons and then thoughts of what's next can come. Being on a winning team throughout my entire career so far has made it hard to not want to be a Bear and hoist one for Seattle. Maybe Bobandy can become a top tier two way center in the league and win the Boulet? Time will tell but either way Bobandy is ready to compete and excited for whatever the future holds. S90 Domination

S90 could be crazy. With all the talk of this huge draft class, I started thinking more about the current state of the VHL and what S90 might look like. Yeah these prospects are cool but they won't be in our league right away. The past two draft classes have also been solid too, and I felt the gap of talent in our league has widen. After doing 10 seconds of research I found that only 22 players in the VHL currently have over 1000 TPA to their build. Am I crazy to think that number is low? It makes sense to me with the wave of new players we are receiving as well as recent drafts. Here are three players who I think should dominate S90: Jesse Teno should win every award with the word "goalie" in it. It doesn't make sense how the 1200 TPA goalie shouldn't! With one cup already to their name, Teno will be relied on heavily with the current United roster. London does have some good depth of skaters but they just don't stand out to me. On a team that didn't make the playoffs in S89, Teno still managed to place top 5 in SV%, GAA, Shutouts and even 7th in wins. Teno could easily be relied on heavily again in S90 and they're more than ready for it. I think Teno will be a problem for every opponent this season and most likely be the reason London makes playoffs. John Jameson has the highest TPA build in the league currently by 50... Standing alone in the 1300's at 1343 TPA, Jameson looks to be head hunting for veteran Ronan Lavelle's spot of current best forward in the league. Jameson finished S89 second in points and had 50 goals as well. Jameson is in primetime right now and while leading everyone in the TPA race there is no doubt in my mind that John Jameson won't absolutely destroy the league in the forward department. While with a lack of some development currently in Prague, Jameson still has Perry Laperriere and Nikolas Kauppi to work with up front. Pairing Jameson with either of the two will result in my point being proven guaranteed. It's no debate to me unless Lavelle pulls one more out of the belt in their final season on an old Moscow Menace roster. Jameson could break 130 points I'll say it right here right now. Hammar Voss will be the best offensive defenseman in the VHL. Ignoring the fact of Voss' 1241 TPA build, highest amongst all current defensemen, and the 91 assists to lead all players in S89, Voss has the best offensive defenseman build hands down. Voss cracked 100 points in S89 falling 2 shy of league leader Brian Kowalski who had one of the biggest break out seasons for a defenseman I have seen in my time here. Voss enters S90 with 6 seasons of experience, to a team full of veterans in Moscow hungry for their shot. Also still handling the role of number 1 dman in Moscow, Voss should get all the playing time they need to continue this progressive slope of great seasons they are experiencing. Unless Kowalski wasn't a one hit wonder I think Hammar Voss should steal the show of all offensive defensemen and have Simon sending gifts of assists their way. It's cool to think this season could go wild with only a couple superstars in the running. I'm excited to see what happens and if I'm crazy or not!
  11. 1. My favourite part of the off-season is keeping up with trades and signings. It's cool to see rosters empty and fill up, as well as big names getting moved around. 2. Oh yeah he boozes hard. Bobandy comes from a long time of guzzlers so he needs a balanced life of hockey and his alcohol addiction. 3. I think Vancouver could run it back again and win this time. The depth on their roster is insane and with the recent trade involving Girts Galvins... they're bringing in a Cup winning veteran to a team full of playoff experience. Questions 1. Time to relocate your team, sorry! Where are you going? Are you bringing some of your old team's culture with you? 2. If you're on a breakaway what is your go to move? If you're a goalie, what is the key to a successful breakaway stop? 3. Would you rather play a full career in the VHLM or the VHLE if you had to? Why?
  12. With S89 in the books Davos finally broke their own curse! Congrats to the whole gang with Alex running the show. He's done some crazy work since hired and it's finally showing off. It's nice to see Ahma raise it for the purple as well after a long time with that team. Crstats with Pete Mitchell deserves a shoutout too, haven't talked in a long time but such a good member in our league. Anyways Randy Bobandy enters his third off season with the Bears, this time with some disappointment. Seattle blew the first round and hit the golf course early this season. With such a different roster from the previous season it makes sense to me that we had a hiccup, it's just unfortunate how quick it came. Bobandy did his thing with 7 points in 6 games, I think we honestly just got out goalied. Played against a brick wall and payed the price. What's next for Randy? S90 is coming quick and so is that stacked draft class. Seattle now has two 1sts and two 2nds which I believe can turn into 4 quality players. Both 1st round picks will be live just around the 10th pick I believe and the entire first round of prospects earn max TPE or close to it. Our 2nd round picks should bring in players who I feel will reach a final build of around 800-900 TPA... which is insanely good for 2nd round picks. Bobandy is excited for the new faces to walk into the locker room. While looking around, he's seeing a lot of familiar faces gone after S89 and not too many players better than him. Bobandy is ready for the leadership role that will come after this draft, and he is prepared for Seattle to be contender once again. Hopefully 2-3 seasons now? Or maybe more trades from Mr.Campbell to come?

  14. https://vhlportal.com/players/playerfocus/4080 Found a recent one for you! I’m sure it is pretty rare though for players to spend full careers in one spot. For Teno they’ve already got a cup in London so it would be pretty cool to retire there too. Always depends on GMs wants and needs though each season
  15. NFL! Pre-Season starts tomorrow and the Regular Season starts Sept 7th. So lots of time to watch games if you want to join in
  16. Loved reading these throughout the season!
  17. I’m in! ESPN or NFL only for me though. Won’t do buy in. If I’m busy with school at draft day I can trust the auto draft gods and then work waivers all season
  18. Congrats Marlins! Great season from both teams
  19. 1. Probably when I first joined and everything was new. Learning how everything worked and the people in the community too. 2. Add a TPE Checklist. Fantasy posts, career tasks, weekly tasks, add everything and have it on the front screen for anyone to see what tasks they can do. I think Bek was looking into it as well. 3. I'm not part of any other online community this is the only one. I live with 5 other roommates so thankfully I have lots of people to fill up my time. 1. Which VHL team deserves to win a Cup the most? 2. How do you start your mornings? What is your routine to crawling out of bed? 3. If you could change the hockey stick forever, what new "tool" would players use to play the game? I'm making them use pool noodles.
  20. Please take over Houston Good luck in these playoffs too!

    VHLE: Back to Six

OSLO BEST TEAM IN THE VHLE
  23. First of all thank you @diamond_ace and @McWolf for giving me the opportunity of rejoining this VHLM GM team in S84 after a massive TPE ban, and thank you @Spartan and @Gustav for all the brilliant work you've done since stepping in. I don't think many people realize just how much the VHLM has changed since these two stepped in and they deserve all the credit for it. As well as hiring quality GMs to work beside every season, thank you for making this job so fun and easy to do. I am stepping down as GM of the Houston Bulls. When I was hired to GM the Houston Bulls in S84 my goal was to create a strong community and family within my new organization. Since then, @UnknownMinion and @Triller have both AGM'd by my side for 3 of 6 seasons each. I hired Minion mainly as a sidekick while on the hunt for a GM job of their own but Minion was always a pleasure to work with. Triller stepped in to the league just before Minion left Houston and I snagged him up as quickly as a could. I remember doing this to @MubbleFubbles in Vegas and they both gave me the "thank you but idk if I'm ready, I'll think about it" response before responding only a couple hours later taking the job LOL. Triller is not an AGM to me and he knows it, we run Houston together and I just get the shiny TPE for it. Houston would not be Houston without Triller. From the graphics, to the daily activity, to the fact that I don't even have to explain myself since he won the Elmebeck... Triller has been my ride or die the past three seasons in Houston. Someone who I can happily call a friend and hope to stay connected with throughout our futures. I appreciate everything you have done in the past three seasons with me and you deserve everything I get praised for. Next thank you to all the players who had the patience and fire to be a Houston Bull. The drive to get better by listening, learning, earning TPE and growing their knowledge of the VHL. Thank you to this S89 roster which is the best I have built in my 6 seasons of GMing. We didn't get the results we wanted but this was hands down my favourite season as GM. Thank you to every player I spammed to try and bring out of inactivity @DontCallMeCarson lol. Thank you @Big Newff for being the only one to play for me for all 6 seasons of my career. I'm happy I got to bring you back to this league and that you were there till the end of my run. Thank you to a player that isn't here anymore and many do not like for showing me that even with such an evil and ugly heart around the league, you will still come back after a perm ban just to be part of the Houston Bulls family again. Thank you @Girts who may have never played for me in Houston, but was my first ever All Star First Gen player in Vegas in S81. You are the reason we want to be a GM in the VHLM and help people love this league more. Thank you to every experience I had with every member, which helped me grow into the person I am in real life today. Finally, the reason I am leaving Houston is because I'm heading back to school! I'm going back to Western University to play football again! After taking two years off and working, I have had a lot of time to grow and figure myself out. I feel now I am ready and determined to chase my goals, and hopefully one day y'all can see me on the big screen playing in the CFL That is the goal with this and if I want to reach it I need to respect it as a full time job, leaving not enough time to meet this job's requirements anymore (as well as the recruitment team which I am leaving too). Thank you to everyone who has stepped into that Houston locker room since I've been around. It's sad letting go as I had so much more planned for this team, but I can proudly walk out saying I left a dent on this organization in a positive way. I hope Houston can continue to grow with whoever takes over in the future. GO BULLS GO
  24. No kidding LOL! But seriously we were neck and neck with Ottawa all season finishing majority of our games after 60 minutes. When they won the first two this series I knew they had it in the bag.
