Since we still don't know who the S51 Hall of Fame inductees are @Draper here is a look at how the Hall of Fame has stacked up through S50.

The first inductees to the Hall of Fame were in S5. @Quik @nibbz (like they'll see that)

The Hall of Fame allows two players and one builder to go in each season, but in its 45 season existence there have been four instances of only one player being deemed worthy in a given season. That first happened in S23 and then didn't happen again until over 20 seasons later. In the last 5 seasons it has happened an astounding three times, S45, S46 and S49. S45 and S46 are obviously the only time it has happened in back to back seasons. The lone player in S23 was @rawenergy (come back). @sterling and @brovy went in alone during S45 and S46 and finally, @boom entered by himself in S49. It seems the Hall of Fame voters have gotten stingier or the players haven't been stacking up as well against the greats.

As of now there are 88 Hall of Fame players inducted.

This is how each team stacks up in Hall of Famers who played for their franchise:

    : 30
    : 28
    : 26
    : 25
    : 25
    : 24
    : 24
    : 15
    : 6
    : 4

It is no surprise that Cologne and Quebec are near the bottom of the list, given their relative newness to the league. However, Riga's lack of Hall of Fame players surprised me, given their longevity in the league as one of the original 8 teams (I bundled together teams that had relocated/renamed).

Stockholm has the third most, somewhat surprising given their struggle to win Cups, but they've had a lot of star power over the years.

New York has a 2 player lead, with a lot of them coming in the second half of the league's existence. Calgary dominated the first half of the league's existence, but hasn't had the same success on the back half. Davos has been fairly consistent throughout, bringing in quite a few Hall of Famers in every era, they have the second most.

I want to do some more deep dives into the Hall of Fame soon, but this was some fun research for me into looking at how teams had fared in bringing Hall of Famers to their team. I counted anyone who had played for a team, regardless of how short their stint was.

At the moment, I am basically building a typical PWF.  Great scorer with great hitting.  If I have to I will switch to center...but I do love the center depth in the draft with the likes of Solas and Boubabi being there.  Also sitting above 100 TPE without doing a bio or RP..so not bad.

Advantage got a reaction from Molholt in VHL By The Numbers
The Season 52 Draft concluded last night and therefore will be the focus for this week's By the Numbers article.  I will be taking a look at three major headlines coming out of this season's draft.

8 - The number of selections the Stockholm Vikings made.  Three of which would come in the first round and five were taken among the first twelve players.  It seems quite clear that the Vikings have acquired five active players, including three players who appear to either be approaching or are over the 200 practice hour mark.  Rhett DeGrath, the goalie of the future for the Vikings, was selected with the second overall pick.  He promises to be a loyal elite goaltender that may be a key difference maker in future playoff appearances for the Vikings.  Lee King Snatch was a bit of a surprise with the fifth overall pick, but his raw potential showed too clear for GM Christopher Miller to pass up on him. Conrad Jenkins and some really long name guy were taken with the tenth and eleventh overall picks.  However, the biggest surprise of all came with the fourteenth pick (after two voided picks to Helsinki and NY) when the Vikings took Die Domi, who many GM's eliminated from their radar due to him not seeming as invested.  While that may remain true, Domi has since come out and said that he still intends on being a good player and someone that can be counted on in the future.  That pick could very well be a massive difference maker when looking back on this draft in five seasons.

4 - The team with the next most selections in the first two rounds was the Cologne Express, who took four different players including Alexander Thrower, who is apart of the GM's agencies.  They also proceeded to sign the Syndergaard twins who haven't been consistently active, but could work well together if they manage to make the pro team in a couple seasons.  Their fourth and final pick was Austin Hickey V who could be a solid pick if he gets back to training.  This is an interesting draft for a team that isn't necessarily in a full-swing rebuild at this point, and it will be quite interesting to see how they do going forward.  The most interesting note about this Cologne draft is that they were the only team that saw them select their own GM with one of their picks, being Thrower.

1 - We have to end this with the number one overall pick, Phil Shankly.  This was hardly a surprise pick as the member of the Phil agency has been long rumored to be the desired selection by the New York Americans.  We call this a quality pick with Shankly being the best player available and someone that will stick with that team in the long-term while fitting in with their potential interest in competing.  Do I see Phil being the best player long term? Given his agency's decorated past with the likes of Gerrard, Rafter, Hamilton, etc., absolutely I think he will be the top talent out of this draft.  It's going to be interesting if he goes on to have the best career, but I do think he landed in the right place to give him the best position to do so.

Advantage reacted to Molholt in Stockholm Snags Under the Radar Prospects & Domi's Secret Identity
Stockholm won the S52 VHL Entry Draft. It isn't even a question. Somehow, they snagged the next elite goaltender in Rhett DeGrath @STZ, which alone would've been a good draft, as acquiring a franchise goaltender can be a tough thing to do. They also grabbed Lee King Snatch @Smarch, who was very under the radar, but, has quietly surpassed everyone in the class in TPE and seems to be on a path for greatness, with some doubters to prove wrong after his lower selection. Then there is also the Vikings 14th overall pick, who, at the time of the draft was still posing as Die Domi, a regular winger. In fact, it has now been revealed that he isn't Die Domi at all, but is instead The Undertaker! This revelation might shock some, as the quiet "Domi" in Saskatoon was rarely seen and didn't have much of an impact for the Wild, but he looks to be a big part of the Stockholm Vikings this season. While the Undertaker isn't quite at the level of Snatch in terms of sneaky training, he has been hard at work since being drafted and has soared past 200 practice hours, after being at only 90 during the draft. With such a late selection, this makes him a great value pick for the Vikings - and he's already been named an alternate captain.

The Vikings also picked up Conrad Jenkins @Kylrad who has the potential to be great and they drafted the worst name in all of hockey, Aschleyelsisyisso Jugglejsjawnssjs CXXIXISI @.sniffuM who could be a stellar player, or could disappear into the wind and never been seen again. Who knows!

All and all, it should be an interesting rebuild for the Vikings, but the trio of DeGrath, Snatch and Taker is a great start. Let's not forget though, they have a DRAGONSLAYER @Advantage on the way too, so holy shit.

The irony is that I like this league and don't care about the SHL and yet I own an SHL record that will never be removed (due to eras) and a HoF player lol.

Max is my best shot at the HoF but he doesn't really have the individual awards.
