Hey guys and gals and everything in between WildfireMicro here to talk about my career in the VHL so far. I came into the VHL when somebody in the SHL was talking about how good this league was, and honestly it has been pretty good to me. I mean I've won a title and I am now an assistant GM! But I am getting ahead of myself here, and I'll start at the beginning. When I went to create my first player, I had a name that I was holding onto for a while now: Armani Calamari. I don't know what it is about that name, but when it came into my head it proceeded to stick with me for quite a while. So it was a perfect name for my first create, and I signed a waiver contract with the Philadelphia Reapers. We reached the playoffs but we ended up losing in the first round. Afterwards I was drafted in the VHLM draft by the Ottawa Lynx and had fun playing with them for a while. Eventually however, I was traded to the Reapers and we made the playoffs again but were knocked out again. Afterwards I decided to work on getting my TPE up to join the first VHLE season where I was drafted by the Vasteras Iron Eagles. It was there that I won my first title in the league, as we proceeded to come back from being down 0-2 and 1-3 in convective rounds to shock the world and win the first ever VHLE cup. Oh man, that was extremely exciting and I am do happy I was able to play with so many great guys in Vasteras. Hell, I now play in Toronto with a guy who I played with in Vasteras known as Doomsday. Afterwards I managed to get my TPE high enough to jump ahead to the Toronto Legion, where we have been shocking people with how well we are doing. Armani is currently having an awesome rookie season with 40 points overall. During the offseason where I made the jump to Toronto, I also took up a job as the Cologne Express Assistant GM. That has been a great learning experience for me and I helped with the draft and am now helping post press conferences. I do not know if I will take a job as a GM anytime soon, but right now I am just happy to help the Express to a potential title. We are in a great position to get into the playoffs at the very least, so we will see what happens next. Overall the VHL has been an awesome experience for me and it is currently the only one of this family of sim leagues that I can stay active in. Now no one really knows what the future holds for me or Armani. I qm hoping that Toronto continues to get better and that I will continue to be involved everywhere. I also hope that those who have gotten to know me these past few months have gotten to like me. Thank you for reading and I hope to see you all on the ice!

REVIEW I love how you separated each section of the teams by spaces. That makes it easy for everyone to find the team they want to know about. I also think you brought up great points for every team and explained those points well in such a short explanation for each team. Overall this was written very well and I liked it.. I am personally looking forward to your VHL and E articles! 9/10

REVIEW: I like how you talked about both your player and the league itself. The formatting is a bit weird tho. It kind of makes it hard to read on mobile at least. Of course, that could just be a mobile issue. I did like it overall however 8/10

Armani Calamari was just leaving the Toronto Legion stadium after a nice win when he was stopped by a boy in a Legion jersey and his mom. Not just any Legion jersey, but an Armani Calamari jersey. The boy had a permanent marker with him as well, wnd he nervously handed it to him "Mr.Armani, Can I umm please get an autograph on my jersey?" The boy asked. Armani smiled as the kid reminded him of himself when he was that age "If you wear the jersey a lot, the signature would wear off. Trust me, I know from experience." Armani says as he reaches into his bag "but here. This is a jersey worn by yours truly during the game you just saw" the boys eyes grow starry as Armani signs the slightly sweaty jersey and hands it to him. "Get this jersey framed, it is the best thing for it." "Oh my gosh!" The boys cheers "thank you so much!" He takes a picture with the family then heads to Tiffany, who was watching them "I love my fans Tiffany, what can I say?" Armani smiled as he kissed her "I know honey, I know. You probably just made that kid's year. Or five!' They laugh a bit as they head to thier car.

This story is told from the perspective of my player Armani Calamari: "This story begins on my 9th birthday. It was a bright and slightly chilly Friday afternoon, and Dad, my friends, and my family are showing me my presents. It was mostly the stuff you usually see be given for a 9 year old's birthday, like toys and video games. My Dad had the best gift however, as he gave me a box with the VHL logo on it. ' Dad is this what I think it is?' I ask, excited 'Just open it son!' It ended up being a custom Toronto Legion jersey with my last name on the back 'This is awesome!' I say as I jump up and down. As I do, two tickets fall out of the box, and I almost scream with excitement 'you got us tickets to the game tomorrow?!' 'Yep!' He smiles big 'and those are special VIP tickets that I got a month ago and been hiding from you. They will let you meet the players before the game!' 'YES!' I yell as I hug him 'thank you so much! I love you!' 'I know son. I love you too! Now I hope you cam get some sleep, as tomorrow will be very exciting.' And that it was, as the next day me and him go get some breakfast at the local Tim Hortons before we headed to the arena about an hour later. I was absolutely starstruck as I headed into the arena and was shown on a tour of the arena to see all kinds of history. We were told many pieces of league history even a hockey nerd like me did not know at the time. We were then shown to a special VIP area afterwards where a few players were waiting. They were all extremely nice to me and dad and put up with my excitement and want for autographs. I got them to sign a photo I took with them, and I still have that photo to this day. Just before they headed out to the locker room, I had this to say: 'I will play on this arena's ice!' I yell, full of conviction. 'Even if I play for a different team, I will play here as a VHL player! I promise!' They all chuckled good-naturedly and one of them rubs my hair 'I'll be looking forward to that kid.' That player said to me before they headed to the locker room and we were shown to our VIP seats. I don't remember much about the game besides the fact that it was a victory for the Legion, all I remember is the promise I made and how I wanted to make it come true no matter what. It still drives me right now in my career where I am currently playing for the Legion itself. I actually got ahold of that player a while ago and told him that I did fulfill that promise. He just said to me that he knew that I could do it. And to be honest with whoever will read this journal entry, that is all the motivation I need to keep going"

REVIEW: I love how you weren't completely biased and didn't just put the Express at #1. I wish you could have put more details in but you were aiming for a short article so I understand. I do wish you would have bolded the teams tho. Maybe underline them too. Still, I did enjoy it overall 8.5/10

Armani Calamari has been busy off the ice during this season planning his wedding to Tiffany. They met in Sweden and quickly became close since Armani frequently went to her coffee shop while he was with the Vasteras Iron Eagles. They plan on getting married during the offseason in a quaint little church in Armani's hometown. For the most part, it has been Tiffany that has planned the wedding since Armani is usually ether playing hockey or practicing for it. He is also on the road a lot and usually keeps in touch with her via text messages. While Tiffany was originally a little bit afraid of Armani finding other girls while on the road, his father reassured her that Armani is not a womanizer. In fact, as John Calamari says, he usually is too focused on hockey to notice the people around him. Tiffany then figured that she must be really special to him because when she is near him it seems that she is all he can usually think about. In terms of Armani's first major season, it has been a roller coaster of highs and lows. But Armani knows that it is all a matter of patience, and that hopefully his waiting and training will eventually pay off.

REVIEW: A very nice interview! I like how honest it was. There are some spelling mistakes in the beginning at least. Also I wish there were quotation marks. But again it was very nice overall. 8.5/10

REVIEW: A good piece, though I have a few gripes. I would have liked some indication that someone was talking, like parentheses or boldness. I would have also liked there to be actual new quotation marks with the quotes. But I do like it overall. I wish you luck in Philly! 7.5/10

From the Toronto Sports Newspaper written by Dale Evans: "Armani Calamari has received quite a warm welcome from the Toronto Legion faithful in his first game in blue and white. The man spent a season in Vasteras where he won the first ever Renaissance Cup, along with winning gold for Canada in the WJC. The crowd erupted with cheers as Armani took the ice in Toronto for the first time, and he took a moment to wave at the adoring crowd. He was extremely happy to see people excited to see him, and he had these words to say: 'Toronto is my home, bar none. Yes I spent some time in Sweden and loved that time, but Toronto is where I was born and raised and I am extremely happy to be playing for this team. I am really hoping I can eventually bring a cup to this city, and I will be playing my heart out for that goal. You can believe that, trust me.' The Legion will definitely be looking for Armani to play his hardest, but he will still need some time to reach his true potential. He is still definitely a work in progress, and we knew he would be when we drafted him; that is why he spent a season in Vasteras. We will be watching his career with a lot of interest going forward."

Armani Calamari and Tiffany prepare to board the flight from Vasteras Sweden to Toronto Canada. Armani thinks back to the conversation they had where Tiffany basically insisted that she follows Armani back home to Toronto. They have been happily dating for 9 months so maybe it will all work out on the end, but still he was a bit worried about Tiffany trying to adjust to life in not just another country, but a whole new continent. "So how long until we start to take off?" Armani asks her, smiling "About an hour, we will make it do not worry" she responds, smiling back "Oh I am not worried" Armani says as he grabs his luggage "I just think we should get on before we have to rush" They start to walk towards the plane "so this will be a huge change for you Tiffany. Are you sure you are ready?" "Armani dear, I am completely sure! I did say yes to you asking me for my hand in marriage, yes?" "Yes I know you did" "Then do not worry! Let's just get on this plane. Don't worry, I have been on the a few planes. You father will be waiting for us, yes?" "Oh yeah he will be there along with the Legion GM." They reach the plane and head to the first class seats reserved for them. "Huh, guess the Legion wants to roll out the red carpet." "I guess they did yes" Tiffany giggles, and as the plane gets off the ground she decides to ask a question that has been burning in her mind for a while. "Armani dear, what happened to your mother? Why can't she meet us?" "It is a rough subject" Armani sighs dery before answering "but she passed away when I was very young" "Oh my I am so sorry!" Tiffany gasps, shocked "I should not have asked..." "Oh no don't worry! You would have found out sooner or later, so let's get it out of the way now." Armani looks out of the plane window a bit sadly "you remind me a bit if her by the way. You are extremely nice and sweet like her" "Awww Armani!" She hugs him, kissing his cheek. The rest of the plane trip was mostly uneventful, with them making small talk and then taking a nap. Eventually, the plane finally begins to touch down waking them both up. Afterwards, they are both suffering from a bit of jet lag as they go to meet up with John Calamari, Armani's Father. "Man you two much be very tired!" John says, smiling "come on I'll drive you too back to the house, I just had that GM guy be waiting for you back there." "Thanks dad." Armani yawns "Here, this is my finance Tiffany Nilsson." "Hello sir. It is very nice to meet you" Tiffany says as she shakes his hand "Oh it is very nice to meet you too! Now come on, I'll get you two something to eat when we get home" The three of them get into John's minivan with all of the luggage, ready to start a new chapter in their lives.

REVIEW: I liked it, although I do have some complaints. Some of the grammar seems off to me personally. I don't know if it is just me, but it feels weird. I do like the use of proper spacing however. I am extremely happy to have you here in Cologne and I hope we can send you to Riga with a title! 8.5/10

REVIEW: Extremely good piece overall! The use of Italics and Bold makes the words stand out a lot. Plus it is a great way to separate sections. I like the idea of writing over 2000 words so you can use the article multiple times, but I could never push myself farther then maybe 1000. Each analysis is extremely detailed as well. I am super excited for the future of Toronto! 10/10

Armani Calamari is sleeping in his Vasteras apartment with his girlfriend Tiffany when he heard his phone ring. He struggled to grab the phone and answers: "You have reached the apartment of Armani Calamari" he answers in a slight tired daze "why are you calling me so late?" "Hey Calamari this is the Toronto Legion with some big news for you!" Now Armani was awake. This was the Toronto Legion GM "Oh! What is it sir?" Armani answered with growing excitement "We are calling you up into the big time of Toronto and the VHL! You are coming home!" "Oh! Thank you sir, when should I prepare to move out?" "Very soon Armani because we need you here. We are excited to have our future playmaker finally in blue and white!" "Absolutely I won't let you down! I'll see you then." Armani set the phone down and silently celebrated finally being able to head home. While he loved Vasteras, he has gotten a bit home sick and was excited to get back to where he was raised. However, he then thought of the beautiful woman still sleeping on the bed despite everything. He knew that moving from Vasteras to Tornado might be hard on her, but he hopes that they can find a way to accompany her. Ether way he better soon get started packing. It was time to move up!

Hey guys and gals and everything in between WildfireMicro here and I am the new Cologne Assistant GM. I am extremely excited to be given this position and I hope I can help lead this team to big success. This is my first true GM job and I cannot be more excited to be doing this. My first draft just happened yesterday and I hope that I can recap our first 4 picks and what I think of them overall. I think overall we had a really good draft despite some hiccups and these are the picks I was awake for: For our first pick we were waiting for what the Red Wolves would do with the first pick. Thankfully they didn't take the guy we really wanted so we took Maximus Decimus Meridius, aka user Beaviss. Beaviss is a cool guy who is usually extremely active in the main server, although I don't think I need to introduce him given how well known he is. He usually has good builds as well according to my GM Bartzy so that is a bonus. Overall I am extremely happy with who we got with the second overall pick. Our next pick is Alexandre Leduc from user Alexandre, who is a right winger. He currently has 250 TPE but right now I do not know him much as a user. Hey I don't know a lot of people in this league so bare with me. I am a first generation player after all. His best stats right now seem to be Scoring and Puckhandling which should help us get a lot of goals. He was the last player picked who had 250 TPE or above as well so that is really good. A really good pick for our 2nd rounder. In the 3rd round we went with a player that I had my eye on due to his high scoring in Johnny Xavier from user Johnny_HX. Bartzy said we needed a Center with high scoring as a top priority so I am happy that I found Johnny. We also needed a goalie for the future, so we targeted a few for our 4th round pick. However, each of them were chosen before we could get them. Heck, Ed Nu was taken in the pick right before us so that is a bit frustrating. Instead we decided to take Ashton Komaryk from user Komaryk who is a right winger with good scoring. Overall I am happy with how this draft turned out. Me and Bartzy worked well together and I even got to get a player that I had my eyes on in Johnny. These are the players chosen that I was awake for however. I feel like this whole experience as a AGM will be fun and frustrating at the same time, but I am ready for it. I would love to win a VHLE title as both a player and an AGM. My career in the VHL overall has gotten off to a hot start with title and WJC gold medal and I am ready to achieve more. Thank you for reading and I hope to see you all on the ice!
