  1. Welcome back Hunor and Welcome to Ben. Hopefully we can have a deep run this season with additions such as the two of you on our roster. Thanks @Ledge for the productive and smooth negotiations.
  2. I am sure AJ will provide you with the respective links. Here is one for build guidance (but feel free to create your player as you imagine them to be) Don't worry it was overwhelming for most of us when we newly joined the league. You can earn at your own pace. To enhance your draft stock regular earning helps a long way (and almost more importantly, activity in either forums or discord (or both)). Welcome to the VHL and good luck with your career.
  3. Graphic courtesy of Leandrofg (Marcel's stats/Daniel's stats) It is almost a week since we last reported from our intrepid hockey players and hence we will only summarize the results as well as the personal stats for the Jansers. Further and in addition, we picked one game of each brother for a full summary. Game 74: please see detailed summary below Game 79: 5-3 W; 0g, 2a, +0 and 1sb Game 82: 1-0 L; 0g, 0a, -1 and 3sb Game 85: 6-1 W; 0g, 1a, +2 and 1sb Game 89: 3-1 W; 1g, 1a, +1 and 1 hit Game 94: 4-1 L; 0g, 0a, -1, 1 hit and 2sb Game 98: 4-3 OTW; 0g, 1a, +1 and 1sb Game 104: 4-3 SOL; 1g, 0a, -2 and 2 hits Game 106: 2-1 L; 0g, 1a, +0, 2 hits and 3sb Game 110: 4-2 W; 0g, 2a and +1 Game 113: 3-0 W; 0g, 1a, +1, 2 hits and 1sb 6-2 The one Vasteras we feature in this issue, is the age old derby against Stockholm in a 6-2 win. We do not know what happened here, as multi point goals of Marcel's are not that frequent, let alone multi-goal ones. Must have been something he ate. The Swiss defender opens the score on even strength after 42 seconds into the game. New fangled Vancouver prospect Puk, whose transfer from New York to BC created quite the uproar, wins the draw in Stockholm's zone. He passes the puck to Bridgers, who is knocked off the puck by Duk. However, Marcel is first at the orphaned disc, winds up for the big slapper and beats Clark on the blocker. Only twelve seconds later, the Vikings tie the game again. Enter Janser: On a power play move, Marcel hoovers up the dumped puck and passes to Young, Young to Love, Love shoots but misses the net. Alas, the disc travels via boards to the far post where Janser was already lurking, having anticipated the puck's trajectory. Easy tap in for the Rotkreuz native. With one goal each for Love and Bridgers and a further one by Stockholm before the first intermission, the opening frame ends 4-2. In the second period, Young has two goals to tally the final score of 6-2. In the last period it was clear that Vasteras did not have to do anything for the game anymore and that Stockholm simply could not. Hence, no further goals were scored and the Vikings had to concede. Janser (2g/1a), Young (2g/1a) and Bridgers (1g/2a) were named three stars of the night. Jute (.929) effortlessly beat Clark (.893) in the netminder showdown. Vasteras' power play was underwhelming (1/6) and the penalty kill was not even asked to dance (0/0), which is pretty rare. Marcel left the ice with 2g, 1a, +2, 1 hit and 5sb. Game 128: 5-3 L; 0g, 1a, +0, 1 hit and 33.33FO% Game 140: 4-3 SOL; 0g, 0a, +0, 4 hits, 1sb and 46.67FO% Game 145: 3-2 L; 0g, 0a, -2, 4 PIM (Hooking and Charging, the former causing a power play goal for DC), 3 hits and 64.00FO% Game 155: 4-0 L; 0g, 0a, +0, 6 hits and 55.17FO% Game 163: 4-3 SOL; 0g, 1a, +0, 3 hits, 2sb and 66.67FO% Game 171: 5-3 W; 0g, 0a, +0 and 71.43FO% Game 180: please see detailed summary below Game 187: 4-3 W; 0g, 1a, +1, 2 hits and 60.00FO% Game 196: 4-2 L; 0g, 1a, +0, 21 PIM (Interference (lead to a goal against), Cross Checking, Slashing, GMC for attempt to injure (lead to a further two goals against), 4 hits and 50.00% Game 204: 3-2 W; 0g, 2a, +2, 5 hits and 33.33FO% 5-1 The match we feature for the Wranglers is their 5-1 victory over the LA Stars. As his brother earlier that week, Daniel was on fire. But first it was team top scorer Kotkakoivu, who brought Calgary on the board mid-way through the first. In the 16th minute, it was Janser who intercepted a pass from the avid seafood enthusiast Murray. A quick lay off to Kotkakoivu, who relayed to GoodBrandSun. AirRig shoots but Vandelay parries at the expense of a rebound. Chicoine picks up the loose puck and releases immediately, the LA netminder stops the puck again, but fails to secure it once more. Daniel gets it backhand and roofs it. A mere 13 seconds later Dan beats the not enviable American goaltender again. Kotkakoivu wins the draw in LA's zone after an icing call. The disc lands with Reinhart who passes it on to the Swiss winger. Janser one times it and the netminder cannot relocate quick enough and is beaten via the post. 3-0 in the first period. The middle period has not even completed its second minute when Janser strikes again. Kotkakoivu knocks the puck off Elsby passes to Janser, Dan to Reinhart. The defender shoots and once more the Stars' goaler struggles to control the rebound. Daniel says thank you and buries the puck in the five hole. Third career hattrick for the Swiss forward, his second in the VHL. But the elder Janser brother has not had enough and smelled blood. Around the halfway mark of the second frame he scores again. Gonçalves, the Portuguese Wunderkind, intercepts a sloppy pass from Kowalski and relays the biscuit to veteran defenceman Jokinen, who passes it on to rookie Maloish. The Bermudan gives it to Janser, to Gonçalves back to Janser, tap in. Fourth goal of the match for Janser! Vandelay is clearly frustrated about the lack of support from his team mates. So much so that he converts his paddle to so much kindling. LA was especially weak in clearing out rebounds and Arts rage relatable. He skated towards the locker room as he apparently has had enough and lets the back up deal with this shambles. Alas, Calgary had finally finished scoring and the only side note to make is that LA scored a goal when the Wranglers' team pylon (aka GoodBrandSun) took a penalty for Holding and therefore spoiled CGY G2's potential shutout. The three stars were awarded to Janser (4g/0a), Kotkakoivu (1g/2a) and Reinhart (0g/3a). Calgary's goaler (.941) was significantly better than Vandelay (.821) but could not compete with LAS G1's mini shutout. The Wranglers' Power play was inexistent (0/6) and the box play untypically sloppy (1/2). Daniel had 4g, 0a, +5, 3 hits and 0.00FO% to his name. Here are the Jansers' stats for the season as of now: Marcel: 29gp, 5g, 13a, 18pts, -1, 28 PIM, 26 hits, 49 hits, 4ppg, 1 first star Daniel: 26gp, 14g, 17a, 31pts, +14, 37 PIM, 78 hits, 6sb, 5gwg, 1ppg, 55.40FO%, 4 first star Please stay tuned for our next update. https://vhlforum.com/topic/123506-a-tale-of-two-brothers-keep-on-running/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/123608-a-tale-of-two-brothers-another-on-bites-the-dust/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/123637-a-tale-of-two-brothers-one-fifth-done/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/123675-a-tale-of-two-brothers-a-crease-oddity/ GM 74: Stockholm Vikings vs. Vasteras Iron Eagles (vhlportal.com) GM 79: Vasteras Iron Eagles vs. Oslo Storm (vhlportal.com) GM 82: Vasteras Iron Eagles vs. Stockholm Vikings (vhlportal.com) GM 85: Vasteras Iron Eagles vs. Rome Gladiators (vhlportal.com) GM 89: Cologne Express vs. Vasteras Iron Eagles (vhlportal.com) GM 94: Stockholm Vikings vs. Vasteras Iron Eagles (vhlportal.com) GM 98: Bratislava Watchmen vs. Vasteras Iron Eagles (vhlportal.com) GM 104: Vasteras Iron Eagles vs. Oslo Storm (vhlportal.com) GM 106: Vasteras Iron Eagles vs. Bratislava Watchmen (vhlportal.com) GM 110: Vasteras Iron Eagles vs. Stockholm Vikings (vhlportal.com) GM 113: Oslo Storm vs. Vasteras Iron Eagles (vhlportal.com) GM 128: Moscow Menace vs. Calgary Wranglers (vhlportal.com) GM 140: Calgary Wranglers vs. Seattle Bears (vhlportal.com) GM 145: D.C. 4. I think the graphic (courtesy @leandrofg) speaks for itself. Congratulations to Lorenzo Cobberson, Akio Suzuki, Luke Glendening and Mini Man to be elected by their peers to lead the Hounds to glory. While Cobberson, Suzuki and Glendening are returning Hounds, Mini Man is new to our organization and shows promise with 28 points in 26 games. Whoever follows the leader stats in the VHLM will be familiar with the names of the first three mentioned players, who certainly have a bright future ahead of them. Again congratulations to the trust put into you by team mates and management alike. Kurt Janser
  5. 1. I think our power play has a lot of room for improvement, but otherwise it is just what a sim league will always be. A throw of dice, you win some, you lose some (not that I like losing, mind you). 2. I am not one for asking for more icetime. This needs to be deserved by performance and there is nothing degrading in mentoring the rookies in the second or third line in my eyes (to the contrary, to me this is a sign of trust). 3. We will make the playoffs and then everything is possible (even handing Spartan his fifth final loss in a row) 4. this: 5. Holidays in Denmark and tending to the garden, the occasional cold'un on the porch. 6. probably the VW ID Buzz.
  6. Wow, somehow I was reminded of some of Turner's work but maybe it was just the naval reference with the waves in the background. I really love your work and always immediately click if I see that you posted a graphic.

  11. Graphic courtesy of Leandrofg (Marcel's stats/Daniel's stats) Our stalwart hockey ambassadors played a couple of games again. Here are our summaries for your convenience. 3-2 Vasteras played the Geneva Rush in a 3-2 defeat. Young brought the Swedes in the lead early in the first, but Geneva equalized shortly before the break. The second period saw two Rush goals one of which was on a power play. Robb then cut the Swiss' lead in half, but that was all she wrote. Escobar (2g/1a), Robb (1g/1a) and Wallob (41 saves) were named the three best players of the match. Jute (.917) was decent in net but was overshadowed by Wallob's performance (.953). Vasteras' power play was a no-show (0/5) and the penalty kill terrible (1/2). Marcel had 0g, 0a, +0, 1 hit and 2sb to his name. 2-3 The Iron Eagles met the Rome Gladiators in a 3-2 loss. Again, Vasteras was first on the board, this time with power play goal by Puk. The Italians tied the game with less than a minute left in the first period. The Gladiators scored the sole goal in the second frame for a one goal lead. They increased the lead on a man advantage in the third before Bridgers could pull one back. But it was too little, too late and Vasteras had to concede the game. For the three stars, the jury chose Puk (1g/1a), Creed (0g/1a) and Dragon (46 saves). Back up Byrne (.864) did not much to earn a starter position and lost the duel in the crease by a country mile against Dragon (.957). The Iron Eagles' power play was okay (1/5) but the penalty kill was far from acceptable (1/2). Marcel left the ice with 0g, 0a, +1, 1 hit and 1sb. 5-3 In a North-South duel the Eagles lost against the Red Wolves 5-3. Vasteras went ahead (maybe they should stop doing that) with a goal by Mathias in the first. Young increased the lead by one 4:16 minutes into the second. Istanbul replied with a goal of their own. Then it was the Swedes turn again with Puk finding the back of the net in a power play. The Wolves retaliated with two consecutive goals, one of them during a penalty against MacTavish. In the third period, the Turkish team scored twice against Vasteras' zero. 2st (1g/1a), Busser (1g/2a) and Crumb (1g/1a) were elected the three stars of the night. Jute (.868) had one of his weaker nights and had to concede to Murdock (.919). Vasteras' power play was decent (1/3) their box play not so much (2/3). Marcel was noted with 0g, 0a, -1 and 4sb. 2-0 Calgary clashed horns with the London United in 2-0 victory. The first period ended without a goal as the teams probed their opponents. In the second frame, Janser struck twice. On the first goal Ayres, the Wranglers' back up netminder, passed a dumped puck to Jokinen and the American relayed the disc to Janser. The Swiss picked up speed and went through London's defence like a hot knife through butter and buried the puck in the five hole. The second goal was not as elegant as the first one. Kotkakoivu wins the face off in the offensive zone and gives the puck to Jokinen, the veteran defender passes it to Janser and on the third attempt the winger squeezes the biscuit across the line. No further goals were scored in the match. The three stars of the game were Ayres (26 saves), Janser (2g/0a) and Jokinen (0g/2a). Ayres with his shutout is triumphant over a solid Pearce (.952). The Wranglers' power play did not help them to win the match (0/7), the penalty kill was flawless (2/2). Daniel logged 2g, 0a, +2, 3 hits and 50.00FO% 1-2 Back in NA, the Wranglers played against the Dragons in a 2-1 defeat, which looking at the shots should have been a win. The Dragons drew first blood before the intermission. Chicoine with his first goal in a Wranglers uniform tied the game and Maloish secured the rubber disc as a souvenir. But before the second period was finisted DC re-established their lead, and that was it. Patrick (41 saves), Chicoine (1g/0a) and Vidot (1g/0a) were named three stars of the night. Dahl (.923) while solid was no match for Patrick (.976) in the clash of goalers. We hope that the countinous inefficiency of the Wranglers power play (0/6) will not bite them in their hindlegs during the remainder of the season, while their penalty kill unit is one of the best in the league (2/2). Daniel recorded 0g, 0a, -1, 2 hits and 80.00% success rate at the hash marks. That is it for today, here the Jansers' most recent stats: Marcel: 18gp, 1g, 3a, 4pts, -5, 28 PIM, 16 hits, 31sb, 1ppg Daniel: 16gp, 10g, 11a, 21pts, +8, 12 PIM, 47 hits, 3sb, 4gwg, 1ppg, 55.10FO%, 3 first stars Thanks for tuning in and see you next time. https://vhlforum.com/topic/123450-a-tale-of-two-brothers-get-it-rollin/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/123506-a-tale-of-two-brothers-keep-on-running/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/123608-a-tale-of-two-brothers-another-on-bites-the-dust/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/123637-a-tale-of-two-brothers-one-fifth-done/ GM 61: Geneva Rush vs. Vasteras Iron Eagles (vhlportal.com) GM 66: Vasteras Iron Eagles vs. Rome Gladiators (vhlportal.com) GM 69: Istanbul Red Wolves vs. Vasteras Iron Eagles (vhlportal.com) (nice!) 15. CGY Goalie bot had a shut out and we got shut down in turn by DCD's bot... new meta discovered?
  16. Graphic courtesy of Leandrofg (Marcel's stats/Daniel's stats) Another few rounds have been played in the VHL/E, and we will not put you on the rack any longer. Here are the game summaries for your entertainment. 2-4 In a feud which is almost as old as time itself, Vasteras met Stockholm in 4-2 loss. The Vikings took an early lead and nursed this one goal advantage into the first intermission. Young equalized in the second just to witness two more Stockholm goals. Robb in the third with a short handed goal cut the lead in half, before the arch rival scored again. Marcel tried to create momentum by fighting Accardi to a draw but the desired effect did not kick in. The three stars were given to Duk (1g/2a), Craig (1g/1a) and Dusterov (0g/2a). Jute (.895) did not get much support from the players in front of him and had to concede to Clark (.944) by quite a margin. Vasteras' power play let a lot to be desired (0/3) while their box play surpassed the expectiations as they not only shut the door but also scored shorthanded! Marcel was credited with 0g, 0a, -2, 7 PIM (Fighting Major (no power play) and Tripping, no goals scored obviously) and 2sb 0-5 In a game which can only be described as landslide win, Vasteras kicked Cologne 5-0. McTavish, Cat and Young scored three in the first period. Young again in the second and an unknown prospect in the third established the final score. McTavish (1g/3a), Jute (30 saves) and Young (2g/1a) were named three stars of the game. It comes as no surprise that Jute (1.000) was declared unanimously as winner in the match between the pipes against Freeze (.692) who started and Protagonist (.941) who finished in the Express' net. Vasteras power play had a small sample size and did not succeed (0/1) but the penalty kill did their job and did not allow jack shit (4/4). Marcel logged 0g, 0a, +0, 2 hits and 1sb. 1-3 The Wranglers had a match up with the Titans and won same 3-1. The Canadians set the tone early with goals by Kotkakoivu and Wolanin. Tessier raised the stakes midway in the second before Reinhart with her marker spoiled Dahl's potential shut out. The three stars of the game were Dahl (38 saves), Wolanin (1g/1a) and Kotkakoivu (1g/1a). Dahl (.974) had the clear upper hand against Booberry (.929) in the stand off in the crease. Calgary's power play was lamentable (0/6) whereas the penalty kill excelled (4/4). Daniel had 0g, 1a, +1, 5 hits and 50.00FO% to his name. 3-8 In a game where a collective collapse of all things defense occurred, Calgary lost against Seattle in a 8-3 ass whooping of epic proportions. Seattle started early as not even the first minute was finalized when they scored on a power play. Tessier tied the game with his even strength goal at the two minute mark. After that, the Bears scored five consecutive goals with two of them being on the man advantage. Reinhart tried to rekindle an inkling of hope with his power play marker. In true Smokey the Bear fashion, Seattle immediately put the little fire out with two more goals, one of them being on the power play again. Calgary at least had the last word with Wplanin's goal. Godlander (3g/1a), Ori (0g/5a) and Petrenko (2g/0a) were named the three best players of the night. Dahl (.800) with the lights out in front of him had no chance to best Wilson (.952). Calgary's power play was sub-par (1/6) but not near as bad as the box play (1/5). Daniel left the ice with 0g, 1a, -1, 2 PIM (Interference, of course Seattle scored during his visit in the sin bin) and an abysmal 33.33% win rate at the draw. Here are the brothers' stats so far: Marcel: 15gp, 1g, 3a, 4pts, -5, 28 PIM, 14 hits, 24sb, 1ppg Daniel: 14gp, 8g, 11a, 19pts, +7, 12 PIM, 42 hits, 3sb, 3gwg, 1ppg, 53.19FO%, 3 first stars We will update on the Jansers adventures as soon as possible. https://vhlforum.com/topic/123401-a-tale-of-two-brothers-a-new-start/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/123450-a-tale-of-two-brothers-get-it-rollin/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/123506-a-tale-of-two-brothers-keep-on-running/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/123608-a-tale-of-two-brothers-another-on-bites-the-dust/ GM 52: Vasteras Iron Eagles vs. Stockholm Vikings (vhlportal.com) GM 56: Cologne Express vs. Vasteras Iron Eagles (vhlportal.com) GM 101: Calgary Wranglers vs. Helsinki Titans (vhlportal.com) GM 107: Seattle Bears vs. Calgary Wranglers (vhlportal.com)
  17. Graphic courtesy of Leandrofg (Marcel's stats/Daniel's stats) Some hockey was played since we last wrote about our adventurous Swiss Hitmen. Let's dive into the summaries without any further delay. 3-4 In a classical Nordic derby Vasteras faced Oslo in a 4-3 defeat. The game started lively with Maple opening the score. Oslo tied the game shortly after. Bridgers reinstated the one goal lead, before the Storm scored a brace. The second period was not as rich on goals with only one goal each. Love found the back of the net for the Iron Eagles. The third period remained without any further goals, alas not for lack of trying. Bridgers (1g/2a), Rooster (2g/0a) and Love (1g/1a) were named the three stars of the night. Jute (.867) was not the usual back stop for his team and had to concede to Tombstone (.921). Vasteras' power play was a joke (0/2) but the penalty kill showed up (4/4). Marcel was noted with 0g, 0a, +1 and 2 PIM (Hooking, obviously no goal scored against). 1-2 An other 'bello borealis' occurred when the Iron Eagles clashed horns with the Vikings in hardfought 2-1 win. Marcel on power play with his first of the season drew first blood. The second period brought no change on the score. In the third frame, Mathias doubled Stockholm's deficit, before they could pull one back. After that marker Jute shut the door. For the tree stars, Jute (31 saves), Monster (1g/0a) and Mathias (1g/0a) were selected. The German netminder showed a stellar performance with a .969 (nice!) saving rate against Clark's not too shabby .938. The Iron Eagles' power play was ok (1/4) and their box play immaculate (3/3). Marcel had 1g, 0a, -1, 4 PIM (Hooking and Slashing, no goals resulted from those penalties), 2 hits and 1sb to his name. 3-2 (SO) In an almost direct rematch, Vasteras redeemed themselves against Oslo in a 3-2 shoot out victory. Young and Cat scored in the first period on back to back goals before Oslo cut the lead in half with a power play goal. The Storm tied the game with a power play marker in the second. Nothing happened on the score board for the remainder of regulation time or over time and once more the teams had to report for the shootout. Young and Puk converted for the Swedes, Rooster for the Norse. Tombstone (56 saves!), Cat (1g/0a) and Mathias (0g/1a) were named the three stars of the match. Jute (.926) was more than solid but because Tombstone (.966) probably suffered a severe form of shell shock from all the shots fired at him, the Vasteras goaler lost the duel between the pipes. The special teams for Vasteras were a disgrace as neither power play (0/5) nor penalty kill (2/4) showed up. Marcel logged 0g, 0a, +0 and 1sb. 2-1 In a showdown of the probably best teams in the NA Conference, the Wranglers faced the Bears in a 2-1 win. The first period was more of a careful probing and resulted in no goals. Jokinen with less than thirty seconds into the second frame broke the spell. Daniel followed suit. GoodBrandSun picks up a missed shot from Kotkakoivu and passes to Janser. The Swiss has too much speed to score directly and circles the net for a wrap around marker. The Bears Manager Campbell is fuming and first accuses Janser of an irregular stick and then claims that the Wranglers had too many men on the ice, but does not lodge a formal complaint with the officials, so the score stands. The Bears pulled one back, after their GM left the bench towards the locker room. Bystanders swear to have overheard the veteran coach mumbling something about 'Meta' but could not make rhyme or reason out of that. The third period saw no goals and the Wranglers won 2-1. The three places of honour went to Janser (1g/1a), Dahl (23 saves) and Jokinen (1g/0a). Dahl (.958) won the duel in the crease against Wilson (.941). The Wranglers' power play was inexistant (0/4) but the penalty kill showed excellent form (5/5). Daniel left the ice with 1g, 1a, +2, 4 hits, 66.67FO% and a first star. 1-2 In a close match the Wranglers fell to the Phoenix in a 2-1 defeat. Kotkakoivu scored the first and only Calgary goal at the 4:59 minutes mark. Chicago scored both of their goals in the first period as well with the second being a power play goal. Gaming (49 saves), Dahl (41 saves) and Kotkakoivu (1g/0a) were named three stars of the night. Dahl (.953) was solid but Gaming (.980) was just a tad better. The Wranglers power play was anemic (0/5) but the box play near perfection (9/10). Daniel had 0g, 1a, +0 and 46.67% (in)efficiency at the draw. 3-5 In an entertaining match the Calgary Wranglers beat the LA Stars in 5-3 win. Gonçalves scored a brace before LA even realized that the game has started. The Stars then had two consecutive goals to tie the game. Then Jokinen intercepted a pass and dished the puck to Janser who had to resort to an in between the leg shot due to the acute angle presented to him. Tessier and Kotkakoivu scored back to back goals and still 1:42 minutes left in the first period! After the fifth goal against, Vandelay had enough of the sloppy performance of his team mates and surrendered the crease to the back up goaltender. The second frame came and went with neither team being able to score a goal. The third period saw a last minute goal by LA but it was a day late and a dollar short to turn the tide. The three stars of the game were Janser (1g/0a), Gonçalves (2g/0a) and Kotkakoivu (1g/0a). Dahl (.885) was better than Vandelay (.688) but was beat by the back up's shutout. The Wranglers struggled in power play (0/4) but shut the door on the man disadvantage (3/3). Daniel was reported with 1g, 0a, +2, 5 hits, 60.00FO% as well as a first star. 4-1 With Toronto one of the stronger teams of the NA Conference came to the Saddledome and had to leave empty handed after a 4-1 Wrangler victory. Jokinen opened the score, but his goal was equalized shortly after. In the second period, Maloish with his first VHL goal brought the Albertans ahead again. Gonçalves secured the puck as a keepsake for the young defender. Kotkakoivu with a brace cemented the lead. It looks like the Cap'n is back for good. Kotkakoivu (2g/0a), Jokinen (1g/2a) and Dahl (21 saves) were named three best players of the game. Dahl (.955) had the better of Lindbergh (.862). Calgary was once more inefficient in the man advantage (0/5) but could compensate with a spotless box play performance (6/6). Daniel had 0g, 1a, +3, 2 hits and 41.67FO% to his name. Both Vasteras and Calgary are sitting on the throne of their respective conference (in case of the Iron Eagles even the league) and we like to believe that the Janser brothers play their role in that success. The Jansers' stats so far: Marcel: 15gp, 1g, 3a, 4pts, -5, 28 PIM, 14 hits, 24sb, 1ppg Daniel: 12gp, 8g, 9a, 17pts, +7, 10 PIM, 37 hits, 3sb, 3gwg, 1ppg, 55.78FO%, 3 first stars The more observant readers will have noticed that some of Marcel's games are not mentioned in the article, while his stats are up to date. Unfortunately the game reports came in short before print and we tried to deliver as recent statistics as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and assure you that we will catch up on the game summaries for the VHLE. https://vhlforum.com/topic/122032-a-tale-of-two-brothers-boulevard-of-broken-dreams/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/122431-a-tale-of-two-brothers-off-season-off-duty/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/122542-a-tale-of-two-brothers-offseason-progress/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/122969-a-tale-of-two-brothers-ad-victoriam/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/123401-a-tale-of-two-brothers-a-new-start/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/123450-a-tale-of-two-brothers-get-it-rollin/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/123506-a-tale-of-two-brothers-keep-on-running/ GM 41: Vasteras Iron Eagles vs. Oslo Storm (vhlportal.com) GM 46: Stockholm Vikings vs. Vasteras Iron Eagles (vhlportal.com) GM 49: Vasteras Iron Eagles vs. Oslo Storm (vhlportal.com) GM 69: Seattle Bears vs. Calgary Wranglers (vhlportal.com) (nice) GM 78: Calgary Wranglers vs. Chicago Phoenix (vhlportal.com) GM 86: Los Angeles Stars vs. Calgary Wranglers (vhlportal.com) GM 92: Calgary Wranglers vs. Toronto Legion (vhlportal.com)
