  1. REVIEW I absolutely adored this article. It's written in a really professional and eloquent fashion - if we had a real life VHL with sports coverage, this would be the type of article I'd expect to read there. Awesome work, great research, great flow... just a truly great job here. My only gripe is the piece could use some picture or two to really help it come to life. Amazing work 9/10
  2. REVIEW Really good job on this! The article is a truly concise and understandable summary of Malmo's moves - you've written it in such an approachable way that even a noob like myself can understand. You've also sliped in a fair amount of your own thoughts on what happened which I appreciated greatly. Awesome work. 10/10
  3. 1. Awesome! Got drafted to my dream team! 2. Green wins here, though I definitely have a soft spot for blue. 3. Salmon is my favorite, but pretty much any fish that's fried honestly works for me. 4. Warsaw B) mostly since I have no clue what the landscape is like. 5. Definitely Marvel - I love Spider-Man too damn much. 6. Uhhh, maybe dream teams? Feel like that could be an interesting topic.
  4. Robert Wilk excited to join Team World While the ex San Diego Marlin captain Robert Wilk waits for the VHL and VHLE drafts to take place, he has other things to occupy his mind. One of the biggest of these things is definitely his selection to Team World. Never in a thousand years had the young Right Forward expected to be selected to join the exclusive roster of players representing the World at the World Juniors. Wilk was more than ready to spend his time before the draft training and preparing for the Draft Combine and relax, but his selection changed things for the better. Robert loves to compete and having another chance to show his skills on the ice before going up to the VHLE is a huge thing for him. Nothing works as well at training than playing in actual games. There’s only so much you can do to improve on your own.
  5. REVIEW Overall I enjoyed this article, but I'll admit that it was a bit dry at points. You spent a lot of time just listing facts that happened and stats your player put up. Comparatively, the fragments where you compared what happened to your predictions and the quite from your player were much more enjoyable, and you could try and focus more on that kind of content for future PTs! 6.5/10
  6. REVIEW I loved this article. You had a fun idea for a narrative for your player and you went all in on it in this article. Some people might dislike this type of player, who's not actually human, but I find it pretty funny and wholesome. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Clue On Skates and it's career! 8/10
  7. 1. I guess it makes sense with the change in TPE values. 2. I'm definitely team Vienna. 3. Should be good for parity, more concentration of players. 4. Warsaw! My dream team to join. 5. I have absouletly no clue. 6. What the hell is candy corn?
  8. Robert Wilk works out before Draft As the captain of the San Diego Marlins, Robert Wilk has always kept up with an intense training regimen, be it in season or before even playing in the VHLM. Now that the regular season of the VHLM has ended and the Marlins failed to convert their final push for wins into a playoff spot, Robert has found a lot of free time on his hands and not a lot to do with it. So while waiting for the Draft to begin, he’s been doing what he does best – training. Wilk has been working out, improving his athletic ability to stay in the game, gaining muscle by the day. But his primary focus has instead been improving his technique. Puck Handling, Skating, even Scoring and Defense are all extremely important skills for a hockey player and improving on them is a must for a player such as Wilk. Hopefully GMs notice that and take note.
  9. REVIEW I really liked this! I appreciate the formatting making it easy to understand who's saying what. I love this type of narrative piece showing your player's thought process and life off the court. Really wholesome and cozy piece to read. Great job! 9/10
  10. REVIEW Gonna start this off right - I loved this. I haven't seen many PTs in the style of traditional writing and I think you make it work really well. The formatting was great, the flow of your writing was great, I loved the concept the execution... just overall an amazing job. Congrats man! 10/10
  11. 1. I'll be waiting for the draft! 2. I'll try and focus on improving what I do best. 3. Just being a solid player on my level. 4. Yukon I guess? 5. Tuscany! I just love Italy man. 6. Hey man, I'm not one to judge who he consults strategies with.
  12. REVIEW First off, I liked the formatting here. You did a great job of dividing the article into paragraphs based on what you were talking about. A negative for me is the offseason part of the spot feels like another article altogether. It might've read better if you wrote some more on the matchup and not taken a turn with the topic. Read very well, your writing has a nice flow... good job overall! 7.5/10
  13. REVIEW Interesting article. I really liked the second paragraph in particular - you went into depth and beyond just stats there. Some of your sentences run on a bit (a lot of "and"). I didn't really like how you just listed stats in the first paragraph for a bunch of sentences, but other than that it was very solid. Nice work. 7/10
  14. Robert Wilk on being 4th in scoring “It’s been an unreal journey for me for sure. When I came into this league no one had high expectations for me. I was drafted in the 4th round as a bit of a questionable prospect. I hadn’t started as quickly at hockey as some of those VHLM superstars, so I was starting from behind. I wasn’t expecting to be drafted high, or even to play well in this league. When I came in my dream was dragging myself as a bottom tier player to maybe get a chance to play in the VHL for my hometown team of Warsaw. But when I came in the GM gave me the Captain spot. He gave me the keys to the offense – and I used them well. Despite starting off a back foot I was fourth in the entire league in goals. I think that’s a pretty good achievement for someone like me.”
  15. 1. We focus on what we're best at! 2. We had a rough start taht hurt us in the long run. Sad we couldn't make the POs. 3. I'm pretty happy, 4th in goals is pretty good. 4. Warsaw! Don't care what round. 5. Continuing to be as good as I can. 6. Play as good as we did at the end but the entire season.
  16. REVIEW I liked this piece a lot! Though I'm a relative noob in the VHL you made it easy to understand your player's journey and experience with the VHL. Unfortunately many players end up with careers far from the Hall of Fame, but that doesn't mean they were bad. Sometimes it's just the situation surrounding them that doesn't work out. I loved the flow, loved the formatiing. Great job 10/10
  17. REVIEW I liked your reasoning for all the teams it was very informative and clear. I especially liked the graves you gave each team that made it easy to understand at a glance. Very good job on the article. 10/10
  18. Robert Wilk excited for VHL draft. Young Right Wing Robert Wilk, who’s the captain for the San Diego Marlins in the VHLM is extremely excited to be part of the upcoming VHL draft. Though Wilk is pretty sure he’s going to have to end up playing for a while in the VHLE, his eyes are still set on the VHL Draft. His lifelong dream is playing for the Warsaw Predators – and the Draft is his chance to finally make a step towards that goal. Robert knows that of course he’s probably not going to end up picked by Warsaw, but even just playing in the league is the first step towards playing on his dream team. Wilk is still unclear on how he’d make his way to the Predators eventually, but he knows one thing for sure – that his career cannot be a success if he doesn’t play for his hometown team.
  19. 1. We got defense now. We just gotta keep on doing what we're doing. 2. I'm a loyal type of guy, as long as I like the team. 3. Team all the way. 4. Gets shit faced drunk. 5. I gotta do something myself, even if I fuck it up. Then I learn how to do it better. 6. Chocolate.
  20. REVIEW Solid article right on topic for the theme week. The flow in this article is all over the place. Some sentences run on and on and on, while at certain points you hit us with a series of sentences that barely get going anywhere. While I enjoyed the article your flow is definitely something you can pay attention to in the future. Keep up the good work! 7/10
  21. REVIEW Very good read. Always enjoy this type of look at the league's power ranking. Read well and you made some interesting points. Could have spent a bit more time talking about why some of the bottom teams are bad. Overall really good job. 7.5/10
  22. San Diego Marlins on the up and up After a series of strong signings by San Diego Marlins GM JB123, the team that was not a long time ago scraping the bottom of the standings barrel has exploded onto the VHL stage with a hefty dose of newfound vigor. The addition of new players, especially a real goalie and new defensemen proved amazingly beneficial to the teams overall performance. The Marlins never really had issues with getting the puck in the oppositions net – it was keeping it out of their own that gave them issues and now those issues are mostly gone. This turnaround has been great for player morale. It’s always uplifting when you win game after game and it coming after a long time of being one of the worst teams in the league feels like a dream for all San Diego players. It remains now to be seen if the team can keep this performance up until the season concludes.
  23. 1. Always happy to have new guys in 2. Spending all the time in the world with dogs 3. I like meeting new people and getting to know them 4. winning as many games as we can! 5. NBA is starting, so excited to watch basketball again 6. Orange juice.
