Following The Pope failing to prosper playing hockey, he decided his work was best served at the Vatican. However, he decided that the world needed was a literal cow who was capable of playing hockey. After much praying and work towards solving this problem he discovered a cow who was capable of skating and holding a hockey stick with his mouth. He then decided what was best to be done going forward was signing this cow up for some beer league hockey where the cow immediately scored a goal, got an assist, and killed a man after falling on them after being tripped. This was a sign that the world needed the cow and the cow was ready to go to the VHLM. Now you may be wondering what is going on and how is a cow being allowed to play in the VHLM, but as has been stated in many hit movies, "There ain't no rule that says the dog can't play basketball." This is as true as it is in the VHLM as there is no rule that says you can't a cow and that cow can't crush a player after laying a hit.

1. Calgary has picked up speed after a rocky start. What do you think was elementary in the team's success so far? Correcting the PP and PK. If you have stable special teams, you will likely be a more stable team. 2. Elaborate in what areas your player could improve, to help the team to compete. Be more rock solid defensively. 3. Who do you see as our biggest rival this season in the Conference? LA I came from LA and they are once again competing for a cup. 4. And in the European one? Whoever we meet in the finals, we don't meet the Europeans very often and we should focus on NA. 5. Which is your favorite cuisine and why is it Italian? Ethiopian food is top tier. I don't get it often since the nearest restaurant is a 2 hour drive but I do get a group of guys together and enjoy some somewhat often. 6. What sports teams outside of hockey do you follow/support? The Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers of course, but I also support my mocs in college sports.

1. We're deep into the off-season, which'll be long. How do you stay engaged? Get pinged to do things the offseason tournaments are the only interesting things going on for average people in the league during the offseason. 2. Will you look at this thread, https://vhlforum.com/topic/143496-vhl-new-year’s-resolutions-2024/? I didn't look at it because I thought it was just people putting their personal New Year's Resolutions into a thread. I do not have any interesting ideas to fix the league however. 3. We're into trying times in the league, where we try to find new faces to come in. Do you remember your first time in the VHL? I do. I actually quite uniquely have what I believe to be two different joining times since I was in the league in the early 60s way back in the old days. 4. What's your first thought when you think of VHL? I don't think of hockey. I think of a friendly community. 5. This PC has become harder to answer than expected. Catia was onto something when she told me during New Year's dinner, right? I don't know what Catia said but probably. 6. Why did they name Donkey Kong that way if he’s a monkey and not a donkey? Stubborn Monkey... Donkey is English slang for stubborn and Nintendo thought that we would think of stubborn monkey which I don't think anybody has ever thought about.

Two seasons ago I went completely mia and now I have returned. Unfortunately because of me missing such a long period of time my stock as a player is way down. So now I have to figure out what the future of the Pope will be as his career moves forward. Let's look into what could come from free agency for the Pope. 1. Resigning with LA. This would honestly be my preferred option, but I understand that a competitive team would likely not want to be held down be a player that may not earn as much as you would prefer a defenseman to. 1a. Long term This is highly unlikely at this point, but I always enjoy signing big beefy contracts with teams that draft me and I would like to sign a longer 3 or 4 season contract with LA. 1b. Short term If I sign with LA I believe this is the likely option and 1 or two season contract that would allow me to prove myself as a player coming back into the league. This is isn't my number 1 choice, but I would prefer this over moving to another team. 2. Signing with a competitive team If I don't come back to LA I would like to play for a team that is likely to make playoffs. This deal ideally would be two seasons and again allow myself to prove myself as back. I'd say this is somewhat likely however not the most likely. 3. Signing with a borderline team Next up I would like to sign for a team either just coming out for a rebuild or just entering one. A team that could make playoffs but it would be a bit more of a stretch. For this I would either want to sign a long term contract or a short term contract depending on if they are coming out or coming into a rebuild. 4. Signing with a bottom dweller This would be my last choice and I would only sign a one season contract with a team in this category. I would want to be here just to play and prove that I'm back and be able to sign a longer contract the following season with a competitive team or resign if their rebuild is moving quickly. That being said if you have an offer for me I will pay attention to it and I will talk to you about what you could do to bring me in. These are all the situations I see and in order of how much I would like them to happen. With that being said I have only had one person talk to me and I would love for more teams to reach out to me because I am back. I do believe that the Pope is a solid player having a fairly good season while being very low in TPA and in theory he should be very good pretty quickly. If you have any questions about my build feel free to message me and I will send you my planned build. All that said let's get talking and bring his Holiness into the fold.

TL:DR I was busy. Over the last multiple months I have been in the final grind months of my working season. With that I was very busy with only Mondays being off and of course I had to continue to do things like shop for groceries and meal prep. In addition, Monday is the day of the week when my beer league plays and so Mondays become even less available. Also during the last few months I moved from my old apartment downtown to a townhome still pretty much downtown. Basically I was super busy and really didn't have a lot of time. However, I did stop working on November 1st and you may realize that today is Christmas Eve and I am just now coming back. What's the hold up? A long vacation visiting Europe in which I rarely had internet and really didn't want to spend time writing things for the VHL. That being said I am back and should be back to max earning since I don't work until March and my schedule only gets busy in July.
