the younger generation is much softer. most people here aren't even 23 yet. stick to people more mature with humor.

There's a saying that goes something along the lines of, "It's not in bad taste so long as it tastes good," and this article/post is quite delicious.  There is a sentence in JR's Repeat Offender edition that stands out to me, and that is that the Mod team, "lets their personal feelings affect how they do the job," and that is something I would whole heartedly agree.  T-Minus five seconds until they disagree with me. 
 
Being a Mod is a hard job, but this team in particular enforces too harsh of penalties for things that should not be penalized with suspensions or bans.  I also think some of have been doing it too long like @Baozi who I have seen hand out swift mutes for things that just annoy him.  It's not a big surprise why Gen chat has fallen off (I for one never go there because the last time I did I got suspended) or why we see lower retention numbers than ever before (and I hate to tell you, it's not all on the pandemic).  
 
Y'all are way too sensitive and this recent suspension of JR is a prime example.  I know how controversial of a person JR can be, but that was a joke of a suspension and especially for the length of time that it was. 
 
The emphasis should be on teaching and coaching.  Only extreme situations should be dealt with as harshly as JR was.

1. At this point of the season, what has been the highlight for the Vancouver Wolves to date?
 
The true culmination of a team, and a new generation of Wolves to represent Vancouver.  In one single offseason our GM @Frank has single handedly changed the fortune of the team.  Now it's our time to pay him back come the postseason!
 
2. Three games remaining as I write this press conference so what expectation or any goals do you have remaining for these three games? (Team or player)
 
I am hoping we can finish strong and head into the playoffs with momentum.  I do really believe that anything is possible this year.
 
3. Do you think we can still catch Calgary Wranglers for first in the conference with the three games remaining? Does it matter if we finish first?
 
I think we can but it doesn't matter, we have proven ourselves to be a strong regular season team.
 
4. Looking ahead to the first round of the play-offs, who would you like to meet in the first round of the play-offs? Why?
 
Any one of the North American contenders are formidable opponents and it's going to sound crazy but let's try and get Seattle out of the way. They're always a threat no matter what round.
 
5. Let’s assume we get through the conference of death and make it to the Continental Cup Finals, who would you like to meet in the finals? Why?
 
For the same reason as Seattle in the previous question, I want Warsaw.  If you're going to win, why not make it glorious?
 
6. Fill in the blank:
Vancouver Wolves will be Continental Champions if it all goes to plan.  We need to score and we need to defend if we're going to win!

That's all well and good, but honestly the fact that it "was never re-outlawed" is way more than enough reason to say that it's not an issue unless specifically re-outlawed publicly. Answer sharing was a thing for years on end--I should know; I'd do trivia myself as soon as it was posted as a VHLM GM and a certain someone would immediately distribute it to every server he was in, all without complaint from anyone. Anyone with any sort of knowledge of the history of answer-sharing in this league (I'll add, by the way, that Ricer was a player of mine while I was doing that) would have absolutely no reason to believe that sharing answers wasn't (and isn't) still OK outside of the league server.

Re: point 2: I don't know and don't need to know what this is referring to, but as long as it has nothing to do with this thread it's really beside the point. I'm talking about the principle of sharing answers itself.
 
I'm not trying to blame anyone in particular and nothing I've said has been intended to be a shot at Dil specifically. I just find it concerning that this is another instance of the mod team doing more or less whatever they want without regard to what the league itself wants.
 
 
Btw, I do find the comments about me writing novels funny. I get that it's a meme at this point and that's OK--just please understand that there are real thoughts in there and I hope you get where I'm coming from.

So, I've reached a point where I'm feeling pretty good about my build, and other than the fact that I love to apply TPE to my player I'm thinking I should do the, "right," thing and start banking.  I'm thinking I should call it on my build as is, and the main reason why is longevity.  Since I decided to go straight to the VHL instead of the VHLE I will be hit with one more season of depreciation and it is because of that, that I feel so strongly about beginning my banking journey now. 
 
I also believe you don't have to max your player to be effective and even be a star in this league, and while I don't have my eyes set necessarily on being a star I do have them set on winning.  I think by taking this approach now I'll be giving the Wolves an extended chance of taking home the cup.  Maybe even starting this postseason?  It's a lot to hope for and looking at the murderers row we'll have to go through to get the cup it will be a hell of a battle ahead of us.  
 
But I like a challenge, and I've got the best kind of pack in front of me - ready to fight.  Ready to win!

Ban Ban
While I would like to do something different then a random thought, I have no thoughts of what to actually create or write about instead so here we are once again with random thoughts with #AsktheBouch.
 
 
-       Ban Ban – the sound of the hammer has been swinging in the past week and must make a lot of people nervous every time that hammer swings and we hear the sound, “Ban Ban”. Well, just don`t do anything stupid and you should be fine right?
 
 
-       Play-offs – Here we are with three games remaining in the regular season and the play-offs are right on the edge of our noses like the first snow flake of the season. Some will find the cold unbearable and others will relish when the snow falls with excite and joy. So will some of the team find the play-offs unbearable and others will relish bring excite and joy. But like kids on Christmas day some will be disappointed while others will be ecstatic.    
 
 
-      Vancouver. Wolves  – It has been a very successful season as far as I am concerned as the assistant general manager as we moved the team from the basement of our grandma’s house to our house earlier this year with the moved done last off season. We had our doubts about moving out a few weeks into the season but the promise of something much better around the corner drove the team forward as we found new success. Play-offs. At the end of the day this seemed so far away as season ago so to be able to see this team back into the play-offs after such a horrible season only bring a smile to my face. I am content and everything from this point is bonus but that being said we have a good team so I am hopeful that we can make a run but it won`t be a complete failure if we don`t as we are at least back in contention, all that I asked once being traded to Vancouver.

Most know the Japanese word for foreigner, which is Gai-jin. Which relates to looking like a foreigner while my name means a foreign person that isn`t a citizen.   Gai - Foreign Koku - country  to - person.
Also thanks for great complements as I really do care about every member on the Wolves and providing them a safe and fun location in the locker room. Hard sometimes when I am 16 hrs or more ahead then most in the league!!

1. Holly cow have things changed in Vancouver after a very average 12-12-1 record last week the team is now 24-12-3 after today’s game. What has changed and do think the team is this good?
 
I think the team found some chemistry. It's a completely different roster than it was last season
 
2. Nico Pearce @Spartan now leads the league with 60 pts but we should also mention we have three players in the top 10 of league scoring with Alexandre Leduc @Lemorse7 (52pts) and Anze Miklavz @kelvi(51pts). Do you expect that these three can maintain the offense for the team?
 
I don't see why not Miklavz and Leduc were right up there last season with Riga, and Pearce is arguably one of the best players in the league.
 
3. Brandt Fuhr @Tate current leads the league in wins with 24 and is tied for second in the league with 2.37 goals against average. What does it mean to play in front of a solid, consistent goaltender every game?
 
You don't have to feel like every shot against is a death sentence. It's very calming to have someone like that in goal.
 
4. The Power defenders, Nathan Powers and Wattson Power; are currently tied on the team for the most blocked shots at 87. What gift should Fuhr @Tate buy these two at Christmas time this season for lay their bodies on the line to aid him?
 
Probably a steak dinner, preferably at a nice establishment.
 
5. After another incident at the Vancouver arena the other day involving snakes, what animal are you the most afraid of and why?
 
I am not a huge fan of lizards, snakes, or anything that lives in the ocean. The ocean is scary.

The Vancouver Wolves currently sit a top the North American Conference standings ahead of tomorrow's trade deadline. Even though they do have more games played then teams trailing them, namely the D.C. Dragons. Brandt Fuhr @Tate has started all 51 games for the Wolves this season, so despite an easier schedule down the stretch Vancouver still needs 8 back up starts out of the remaining 21 games. So we'll see if they can hang on to that top spot. Fuhr has been one of if not the best goalie this season, and will without a doubt be the teams choice for the Dustin Funk Trophy. Vancouver also boasts 3 of the top 10 scorers in the league with Nico Pearce @Spartan , Alexandre Leduc @Lemorse7 and Anze Miklavz @kelvi as well as their 3 other forwards all being rookies @dogwoodmaple, @Greg_Di and @Otaznik. The rookies have had difficulties getting on the score sheet playing alongside players with twice their tpe but next season will be their time to take the reigns as Miklavz will be retiring and Pearce is a pending FA who may or may not return.  Being a rookie in the VHL is a bit of a two edge sword as often you either have a poor season statistically but the team does well or you have a great season statistically but your team is in the draft lottery.  Luckily for Vancouver all the rookies understand the process and are valuing team success over individual accolades at this stage in their careers. On defense, which VSN ranked #1 in the entire league. It's a pretty even group with all players having similar builds, Cheese @a_Ferk and Powers @JB123 are both hovering around a point per game and Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito and Power @Tape-to-Tape have both done exceptionally in tougher defense match ups. The main reason this seasons trade deadline will be quiet in Vancouver is there being no urgency to improve as the heavy lifting was done in the off-season and the team really only has one or two spots to fill at forward this coming off-season. @Xflexz MacElroy will be making his debut next season taking over from Nathan Powers as he rides off into the sunset.
