The first console I played was the SNES, which is a GOAT console. I’m going to lump most franchises together because it feels wrong to clog the list up but also wrong to not include some of the picks. In mostly no particular order: 1. Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross (PS1) - Donkey Kong Country 1-3 (SNES) - Pokemon (Yellow would be the nostalgic pick, HGSS and BW would be modern faves) - Final Fantasy 1 and 4-7. 10 is good too. Haven’t played the rest except 2, which was bad. - Mount and Blade Warband (Game of Thrones mod)(PC) - Crusader Kings 2+3 - Smackdown vs Raw 2006 (PS2). Shoutout to Smackdown 2 (PS1) as well - Diablo II (PC) - Dungeon Keeper 1+2 (PC) - Super Mario World (SNES) HMs: GTA, Worms Plus, Tetris Attack, Civ 5, Skyrim, Super Punch Out, Smash Bros

I do have a problem with the lack of diversity in builds, but I more so have a problem that there even is a “meta” at all. As sour as I am with the people who went the extra mile to test and exploit STHS to the point where all this days is so well known, and as distasteful as I find people and GMs who would now exploit this knowledge, the problem ultimately lies with STHS. Ideally, the sim engine shouldn’t even be as exploitable as it is to begin with. The relationship between Checking and Discipline is truly insane and is nothing short of broken. And this Scoring and Passing nonsense is just yet another thing that’s broken. The BOG and co can change whatever they want. They can make it harder for GMs to make super teams, maybe even discourage people from building meta players. But it will never change the problem that exists with STHS itself. And frankly I don’t love following the SHL in their switch either. I really wish a new engine could be developed.

Hell yes, more podcasters! Love seeing fresh faces doing these. Don’t sweat the error with Matt Bailey being a defenceman; he was actually both! If memory serves, he was a forward for his first ~6 seasons, then switched to defence for his last two where he also excelled. Or maybe I have that backwards. Either way, he was part of the REAL dream team of the S19 Calgary Wranglers so it was a valid selection. That's because they're not real people. I agree with Tagger, the VHL needs to get with the times, and M GMs are underpaid. AGMs deserve nothing however. Counterpoint though, you could argue we're now a place that jobs are only occupied by people who genuinely want to do them for their own funsies, since there is so little TPE benefit of doing them.

If Wonderwall can't improve your performance I don't think anything will.
