  1. Review: This is an example of a simple but effective graphic! The thing that stands out to me the most is the logo swap here as it seamlessly blends into the jersey and environment. The blur effect and coloring is used in moderation to help make the render stand out and it looks solid. My only nitpicky recommendations I have with this piece is to remove all NHL branding, such as on the collar of his jersey and the advertisement on the helmet. As well as making the text stand out a bit more with vibrant colors as the hues are so similar that it almost bleeds into the render. Overall, awesome work! 8/10

  2. Review: Flubbed trivia this week, but that means I get the opportunity to leave my thoughts on this awesome piece! Super creative work as usual, the composition of this graphic is perfectly balanced with the silhouette player render and the text work. I love the beard and ponytail combo, it's hilarious but also amazing at the same time. The textures and lighting are also well used/placed and give the piece a nice grungy look, befitting a graphic made for the playoffs and its intensity! The colors pop and catch a viewer's eye instantly. Overall, another splendid piece from you and I can't wait to see more! 9/10

    Week Of March 13th - March 19th 2023

1: It’s been an intense series against Malmo. Do you expect the series to end tonight or will we go into game 7?

We have been the stronger team, so I do hope we'll be able to close out the series tonight. We just need everything to go well on both sides of the game and smother that Malmo team.

2: Which Davos player has impressed you most so far in these playoffs?

Jake Thunder's contributions definitely can't go unnoticed. His point production and helpers have spurred our offense.

3: Is there any team you wish we had played these playoffs? Or maybe one you wish we meet should we make it to the finals?

Honestly, I was happy with our playoff matchup this season. Would love to play Calgary in the finals only because I know a lot of people on that Wranglers team.

5: Alternatively which NHL legend do you think would still be good if their career was restarted today?

Martin St. Louis would thrive in today's game since it's evolved to be friendlier towards smaller-statured players.

6: If you had to change your hair color, which color would you choose and why?

Probably brown, because my hair is black and any other color would just look ridiculous on me, in my opinion.

8: What was the most recent Show you’ve watched?

I just watched the season finale of "The Last of Us" last night, and while I really enjoyed the show, the game will always be number one to me!

I was updating my signature the other day and added some stats from Lachlan’s career thus far, and realized there was a direct comparison I could make between his first season and his most recent season.

As a first gen, I did not receive carryover TPE and started at a measly 30. So that means for his first few games, Lachlan was as effective as a bot goalie, as embarrassing as that sounds. In his seven games started for the S84 San Diego Marlins (a legendary team by the way), he was 2-5-0 with a .884SV% and an abysmal 3.56GAA. These numbers aren’t horrific for a first gen under 100 TPE but nothing to write home about either.

Compare that to his S87 rookie numbers as the backup for HC Davos Dynamo, and he ended with a 7-0-1 record with a .938SV% and 1.58GAA. He had no losses in regulation and a shutout! You can tell by these numbers just how far he’s come as a player. He had nearly the same amount of games played as his VHLM waiver season, yet has improved immensely, and I couldn’t be prouder of him and myself for earning consistently and working on my build for this!

Soon, Lachlan will be a VHL starter and that’ll be a true test as to how good he is as a goaltender. I’m just hoping for the best for the rest of his career, and to hopefully retire as a Davos legend.

    Week Of March 6th - March 12th 2023

1: How many games do you think our first series will be?

I think our first series will be 6 games. Though the faster we close it out, the better.

2: Which player on Davos do you think would win an arm wrestling tournament?

I feel like Florida Man would win a Davos arm wrestling tournament. Just because that seems like a Floridian thing to do, I guess!

3: What is your player's nickname?

Lachlan's nickname is very simple: Lachy. Though his friends sometimes call him the Mad Aussie.

5: Which NHL player's jersey would you want to get as a gift?

I'm a big Cale Makar fan, and I love the Avs alternate jerseys, so that would be my pick.

6: Who is your favorite NHL defender?

This definitely falls into the previous question! So my favorite defenseman  is Cale Makar with a side of Vince Dunn.

7: Do you listen to anything while you fall asleep? or do you find it strange to do so?

I listen to either a YouTube video or Twitch stream to fall asleep and actually set a timer on my phone that makes it shut off by itself after a certain time.

    — Summers speaking to the media after practice.

DAVOS, CH — In a shocking turn of events, the Riga Reign have swept the Warsaw Predators in the EU Wildcard. Preseason predictions had the Reign in a rebuilding state, but this team came to play this season and showed their firepower by dominating Warsaw.

Now, Riga will be facing off against the first seed in the EU, HC Davos Dynamo. Rookie goaltender Lachlan Summers is truly looking forward to this matchup, as his close friend Sadie St-Louis has been absolutely sensational for Riga this season. Both Summers and St-Louis have had impressive rookie outings.

“Of course I’m excited for this. Although I won’t be in net, facing off against Sadie will be special since we’re always pushing each other to be better,” Summers commented when asked about the series and his friendship with St-Louis. “But I’m gonna be rooting for the guys in purple, and I won’t be sorry when Davos sends that Riga team packing.”

You ONLY have to answer 6 of the 8 questions
    Week Of February 27th - March 5th 2023

1: With only a handful of games remaining, how many goals/wins do you expect to end this season with?

Hopefully we win the majority of these last few games to clinch 2nd place in a very competitive EU conference. It would put us in a great place for the playoffs.

3: Which teammate has impacted your player's performance the most this season?

Sitting behind Xavier Booberry has definitely helped develop and improve Lachlan's game! Gotta be the most effective goaltender tandem this season.

4: If you got a new pet what would you name it?

My dog is partially named after Olli Maatta so I would definitely continue the trend of choosing a hockey name for a new pet. I think a dog named Cale would be adorable.

6: The NHL trade deadline is right around the corner, which trade do you think is the most impactful?

The Meier to New Jersey trade is definitely sure to be most impactful and shake up the eastern conference.

7: If you could move to any city, which city would you choose?

I would move to Seattle. I love the rain.

8: Which movie do you wish had a sequel?
Step Brothers, purely because I'm curious as to what they would come up with for a sequel.
