The start of the new season has seen many surprises pop up around the  league. One of those stories has been the start of Riga Reign star Shubham Anand. His hot start has seen him rise to the level of legit VHL superstar. Time to look into the how he got to this point and if he can continue his stunning performance over the long season to come.
 
After a strong performance his rookie season, the second season would show signs of a sophomore slump, particularly with the rough season the rebuilding  Regin would suffered through. Which makes his performance early into S93 surprising. Twenty-two games into the new season, Shubham has earned thirteen goals and nineteen assist for thirty-two points. While these numbers represent a cooling off from the hot form Shubham started in, these numbers are first in team goals and points and second in team assist with only fellow rising star Eric White Jr @Mysterious_Fish having more. Shubham is currently on pace to finish above a point per game for the first time in his career in the VHL system, setting him up for the season of his young career.
 
Clearly the hard work Shubham Anand has put in over the last two pulse seasons is paying off. But what about his game can be pinpointed as skills responsible for this burst of points. Looking at the attributes, the scoring and defense are good, but what truly stands out is passing, puck handling and skating. All of these attributes are above an eighty-five rating. Together these attributes result in a player who is a nightmare for opponent's defender and goaltender to slow down much less stop. For a young team still looking to develop its players, Shubham's particular set of skills are proving to be very important to team success.
 
The current season is young with many ups and downs expected to come over the many weeks. But the start that Shubham Anand had is giving Riga Reign fans hope that the team might be carried to at least winning record this season. And that in the future, their team might develop to reach the form necessary to contend for the Continental Cup.

S91 Unofficial Awards
 
A couple weeks ago. Oh wait nevermind over a month ago the 91st season officially ended and I am fucking late but that is not the point. Welcome to the S91 Best Duo Award post over half way through S92. For those of you who are new I came up with this idea for unofficial awards in S90 as I suggested the Best Duo Award and Best Trio Award to become official awards. As you can see they did not, so here I am. Unlike last season where I chose all the winners myself I made a google form and posted it on the forums for people to vote for the winners.
 
Just like last season though I will be going in order of leagues, starting with the VHL and making the way down to the VHLM. Now let me set this straight. To be a nominee you must have been on the same line or by looking at lines had some good playing time together. So you can not have line 1 center and line 2 center be a nominee.
 
So this season we again have three nominees, one nominee from each team that I found a great duo.

Right Winger Molly the Cat @JCarson and Right Winger Leonard Triller @Triller of the London United

Summers seems to be able to carry anyone to a nominee spot with HC Davos Dynamo but this time instead of Skor McFleury we have Leandro Goncalves. Leandro had a great season getting 55 goals, 57 assists for 112 points and a +/- of 41. On the other hand Summers had 46 wins in 64 games played with 5 shutouts. A good save percentage and a decent goal against average.

Overall great season from the both of them but can they compete to the next two nominees?

London did kind of shock me on the fact they have a nominee, but when Molly the Cat and Leonard Triller decide to both dominate in London at the same time I guess this is what you get. Molly had some good points 52 goals and 55 assists for 107 points and a +27. When you look at Triller you find out why Molly got 52 goals because Triller got 79 assists and 24 goals for 103 points and got a +22.

Triller and Cat duo was great for London but one more duo to go so let's go see that nominee.
 
The Americans of New York seem to have found a duo to become a nominee. Jasper Davis and Francesco Mancini on a New York team that struggled they still put up respective numbers. Davis got 39 goals and 66 assists for 105 points with a +5 and Mancini had 47 goals and 54 assists for 101 points with a +3. The fact that they were able to have a positive +/- is crazy.

Alright, so Rome had a great duo with the leading point scorer and one of the best goalies in the E. Nick Sansoe got 44 goals and 50 assists in a very low scoring VHLE while getting a +20. Dalkr Vidarsson had a good season but when Rome does not help much stats are not as good. Although 39 wins and good save percentage and a great goals against average along with 5 shutouts. A good duo helped lead Rome to the playoffs just to lose to Cologne in the 1st round.

Stockholm made the last playoff spot by 5 points and probably because of the Spanish Moon Moth and Olober Syko duo. Moon Moth went out and got an even amount of goals and assists getting 46 goals and assists for 92 points while getting a -1. The first negative plus minus in this season's nominees. Syko, a former Marlin who continued to do well in between the pipes getting 35 big wins, a good save percentage and a good goals against average. Also got an impressive 7 shutouts. A good duo  to help Stockholm make the playoffs.

Vasteras finished the season being top of the league and that is not fully because of this duo of Eno Velvson and Karl Herzlich, it is because the team was just that good. This is not about the team though. Velvson got 33 goals and 49 assists for 82 points and got an impressive +30. Herzlich got 35 wins and good save percentage and good goals against average while getting 6 shutouts. These 2 guys were part of the reason why Vasteras finished the season 1st in the league but then lost to Cologne and the playoff goat Clark in the finals.

So nominees have been mentioned in the boring VHLE so who actually won the forward and goalie duos of the VHLE. According to 70.6% of the voters the duo of Center Nick Sansoe @Tipskid97 and Goalie Dalkr Vidarsson @KaleebtheMighty of the Rome Gladiators will win the S91 VHLE Best Duo Award.

Alright the VHLM is where we all start the fun journey to the VHL. So even though teams change a lot there are still players who were there from day 1 of the sims with a great duo. 
 
Philadelphia Reapers had an ok season being in the middle of the pack. Although when you look at the insane duo they had you wonder how they were not #1 in the league. 
 
Caring Bear @thecaringbear and Logan Ninefingers @Scurvy gave the VHLM no chance but it wasn’t just two players with 100+ points no, it was two players with 150+ points. Caring Bear put the goalies in a living nightmare. 69 goals (nice) 97 assists for 166 points with a +/- of 90 just proved that goalies stood no chance. Now you can’t get all of these goals without a wingman so bring in Ninefingers who got 64 goals and 88 assists for 152 points with a +/- of 88. These two players combined for 318 total points so there was no question I had to include this duo.

We head over to Saskatoon for this next duo. Jacob Smith Jr @jacobaa19 and Toddly Bobbly @ToddlyBobbly was a great duo for Wild fans to cheer about. Smith Jr was unable to hit the  50 goal mark but was still able to get 41 goals and 61 assists for 102 points with a +/- of 62. On the other side of the ice we had one of the best goalies in the VHLM that season with player all 72 games getting 56 wins 9 shutouts and great save percentage and goals against average. I do not care what you have to say but this is just a great duo.

Last but not least we head over to Ottawa for the last Best Duo nominee by the names of George Richmond @badcolethetitan and Thijs Mooij @Thijs. Richmond decided to barely get 100 points by getting 46 goals and 55 assists for 101 points and a +/- of 44. Mooij decided not to get 100 points though as he got 36 goals and 61 assists for 97 points and a +/- of 52. Not the best but not the worst so we have to give them props for being a nominee.
 
Nominees are cool but winners are cooler. A very hard decision from the voters and the winner of the S91 Best Duo Award is Philadelphia Reapers - Caring Bear @thecaringbear & Logan Ninefingers @Scurvy. I have to say I am not shocked that they got over 80% of the votes.

Yep, here we go after finishing making the Best Duo article. I decided why not put them in the same article since I am months late. So here we go welcome to the S91 Best Trio Award ceremony!
 
Today we have some very talented players who formed a great trio so I think we should get started.
 
Now since I am late if there are repeating players I will not talk about in depth again.
 
London is back at it but with a friend in the best trio side. You know about Molly the Cat @JCarson and Leonard Triller @Triller but we can’t ignore Jesse Teno @aimkin now. Teno was unbelievable, 40 wins in 64 games, 6 shutouts and overall a really good stat line.

Alright a new foe has entered the ring and that team is the Riga Reign. Riga had AK92 @hedgehog337, Baby Shrimp @Blazzer and Henry Tucker Jr @NSG. AK92 got 50 goals, 47 assists for 97 points but he can’t just get 50 goals without a playmaker which is why Shrimp is here. Shrimp got 25 goals and 66 assists for 91 points. Now a team needs a goalie and what team had that, Riga. Tucker Jr played in 65 games getting 47 wins and 2 shutouts. Riga was a good team but fell short in the playoffs.

Another new foe, welcome the Helsinki Titans. The Titans have brought Landon Wolanin @jacobcarson877, Daryl Dixon @Ricer13 and Pierre Emile Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito. Wolanin said he likes goals and points to his ability. Wolanin got 53 goals and 48 assists. Again you need a playmaker for the 50+ goals so Dixon was that guy getting 30 goals and 63 assists for 93 points. What's this, a team needs defense, weird. PEB got 14 goals and an assist a game for 86 points. Offense and defense worked well for this team getting all the way to the finals.

Let’s say Hello Rome! Rome has brought back Sansoe @Tipskid97 and Vidarsson @KaleebtheMighty back to the ring but this time has brought along Conference Prince-de-Galles @UnkemptCL4PTP. Prince-de-Galles got 20 goals and 42 assists for 62 points but as a defender it is not always about points as he also did well defensively.

The Reapers are back with their two incredible players but they also brought defender kodie Curran. Curran almost cracked the 100 point mark but fell short getting 21 goals and 75 assists for 96 points while putting up decent defensive numbers.

Alrighty and Ottawa came back… wait I'm getting word that Ottawa got too scared and dropped out of the best trio nominations so here comes the Houston Bulls trio of Pipo Popa, Luna Everdeen and Vanellope von Schweetz. A new foe to end it off. Popa we can talk about last so let's talk about Everdeen. Everdeen thought that he could do both jobs or scoring and passing, getting 42 goals and 40 assists for 82 points. Overall a solid showing, but next we have Schweetz. Schweetz got 15 goals and 64 assists for 79 points and as a defender you must do defensive things as well and Schweetz kinda disappointed. Finally Popa. Popa did something that we have not seen in a while. Best goalie in the league by far and you might think how someone could be better than Bobbly but Popa did it. 52 wins but that isn't the impressive part. A shocking and impressive 22 shutouts! 22 shutouts in a league where two people averaged just over 2 points per game just shows how talented Popa is.

S91 Unofficial Awards
 
A couple weeks ago. Oh wait nevermind over a month ago the 91st season officially ended and I am fucking late but that is not the point. Welcome to the S91 Best Duo Award post over half way through S92. For those of you who are new I came up with this idea for unofficial awards in S90 as I suggested the Best Duo Award and Best Trio Award to become official awards. As you can see they did not, so here I am. Unlike last season where I chose all the winners myself I made a google form and posted it on the forums for people to vote for the winners.
 
Just like last season though I will be going in order of leagues, starting with the VHL and making the way down to the VHLM. Now let me set this straight. To be a nominee you must have been on the same line or by looking at lines had some good playing time together. So you can not have line 1 center and line 2 center be a nominee.
 
So this season we again have three nominees, one nominee from each team that I found a great duo.
Center Leandro Goncalves @leandrofg and Goalie Lachlan Summers @kirbithan of HC Davos Dynamo
Right Winger Molly the Cat @JCarson and Right Winger Leonard Triller @Triller of the London United

Summers seems to be able to carry anyone to a nominee spot with HC Davos Dynamo but this time instead of Skor McFleury we have Leandro Goncalves. Leandro had a great season getting 55 goals, 57 assists for 112 points and a +/- of 41. On the other hand Summers had 46 wins in 64 games played with 5 shutouts. A good save percentage and a decent goal against average.

Overall great season from the both of them but can they compete to the next two nominees?

London did kind of shock me on the fact they have a nominee, but when Molly the Cat and Leonard Triller decide to both dominate in London at the same time I guess this is what you get. Molly had some good points 52 goals and 55 assists for 107 points and a +27. When you look at Triller you find out why Molly got 52 goals because Triller got 79 assists and 24 goals for 103 points and got a +22.

The Americans of New York seem to have found a duo to become a nominee. Jasper Davis and Francesco Mancini on a New York team that struggled they still put up respective numbers. Davis got 39 goals and 66 assists for 105 points with a +5 and Mancini had 47 goals and 54 assists for 101 points with a +3. The fact that they were able to have a positive +/- is crazy.

Alright, so Rome had a great duo with the leading point scorer and one of the best goalies in the E. Nick Sansoe got 44 goals and 50 assists in a very low scoring VHLE while getting a +20. Dalkr Vidarsson had a good season but when Rome does not help much stats are not as good. Although 39 wins and good save percentage and a great goals against average along with 5 shutouts. A good duo helped lead Rome to the playoffs just to lose to Cologne in the 1st round.

Stockholm made the last playoff spot by 5 points and probably because of the Spanish Moon Moth and Olober Syko duo. Moon Moth went out and got an even amount of goals and assists getting 46 goals and assists for 92 points while getting a -1. The first negative plus minus in this season's nominees. Syko, a former Marlin who continued to do well in between the pipes getting 35 big wins, a good save percentage and a good goals against average. Also got an impressive 7 shutouts. A good duo  to help Stockholm make the playoffs.

Vasteras finished the season being top of the league and that is not fully because of this duo of Eno Velvson and Karl Herzlich, it is because the team was just that good. This is not about the team though. Velvson got 33 goals and 49 assists for 82 points and got an impressive +30. Herzlich got 35 wins and good save percentage and good goals against average while getting 6 shutouts. These 2 guys were part of the reason why Vasteras finished the season 1st in the league but then lost to Cologne and the playoff goat Clark in the finals.

Alright the VHLM is where we all start the fun journey to the VHL. So even though teams change a lot there are still players who were there from day 1 of the sims with a great duo. 
 
Philadelphia Reapers had an ok season being in the middle of the pack. Although when you look at the insane duo they had you wonder how they were not #1 in the league. 
 
Caring Bear @thecaringbear and Logan Ninefingers @Scurvy gave the VHLM no chance but it wasn’t just two players with 100+ points no, it was two players with 150+ points. Caring Bear put the goalies in a living nightmare. 69 goals (nice) 97 assists for 166 points with a +/- of 90 just proved that goalies stood no chance. Now you can’t get all of these goals without a wingman so bring in Ninefingers who got 64 goals and 88 assists for 152 points with a +/- of 88. These two players combined for 318 total points so there was no question I had to include this duo.

We head over to Saskatoon for this next duo. Jacob Smith Jr @jacobaa19 and Toddly Bobbly @ToddlyBobbly was a great duo for Wild fans to cheer about. Smith Jr was unable to hit the  50 goal mark but was still able to get 41 goals and 61 assists for 102 points with a +/- of 62. On the other side of the ice we had one of the best goalies in the VHLM that season with player all 72 games getting 56 wins 9 shutouts and great save percentage and goals against average. I do not care what you have to say but this is just a great duo.

Last but not least we head over to Ottawa for the last Best Duo nominee by the names of George Richmond @badcolethetitan and Thijs Mooij @Thijs. Richmond decided to barely get 100 points by getting 46 goals and 55 assists for 101 points and a +/- of 44. Mooij decided not to get 100 points though as he got 36 goals and 61 assists for 97 points and a +/- of 52. Not the best but not the worst so we have to give them props for being a nominee.
 
Nominees are cool but winners are cooler. A very hard decision from the voters and the winner of the S91 Best Duo Award is Philadelphia Reapers - Caring Bear @thecaringbear & Logan Ninefingers @Scurvy. I have to say I am not shocked that they got over 80% of the votes.

Yep, here we go after finishing making the Best Duo article. I decided why not put them in the same article since I am months late. So here we go welcome to the S91 Best Trio Award ceremony!
 
Today we have some very talented players who formed a great trio so I think we should get started.
 
Now since I am late if there are repeating players I will not talk about in depth again.
 
London is back at it but with a friend in the best trio side. You know about Molly the Cat @JCarson and Leonard Triller @Triller but we can’t ignore Jesse Teno @aimkin now. Teno was unbelievable, 40 wins in 64 games, 6 shutouts and overall a really good stat line.

AK92 got 50 goals, 47 assists for 97 points but he can’t just get 50 goals without a playmaker which is why Shrimp is here. Shrimp got 25 goals and 66 assists for 91 points. Now a team needs a goalie and what team had that, Riga. Tucker Jr played in 65 games getting 47 wins and 2 shutouts. Riga was a good team but fell short in the playoffs.

Wolanin said he likes goals and points to his ability. Wolanin got 53 goals and 48 assists. Again you need a playmaker for the 50+ goals so Dixon was that guy getting 30 goals and 63 assists for 93 points. What's this, a team needs defense, weird. PEB got 14 goals and an assist a game for 86 points. Offense and defense worked well for this team getting all the way to the finals.

The Reapers are back with their two incredible players but they also brought defender kodie Curran. Curran almost cracked the 100 point mark but fell short getting 21 goals and 75 assists for 96 points while putting up decent defensive numbers.

Alrighty and Ottawa came back… wait I'm getting word that Ottawa got too scared and dropped out of the best trio nominations so here comes the Houston Bulls trio of Pipo Popa, Luna Everdeen and Vanellope von Schweetz. A new foe to end it off. Popa we can talk about last so let's talk about Everdeen. Everdeen thought that he could do both jobs or scoring and passing, getting 42 goals and 40 assists for 82 points. Overall a solid showing, but next we have Schweetz. Schweetz got 15 goals and 64 assists for 79 points and as a defender you must do defensive things as well and Schweetz kinda disappointed. Finally Popa. Popa did something that we have not seen in a while. Best goalie in the league by far and you might think how someone could be better than Bobbly but Popa did it. 52 wins but that isn't the impressive part. A shocking and impressive 22 shutouts! 22 shutouts in a league where two people averaged just over 2 points per game just shows how talented Popa is.

Vasteras finished the season being top of the league and that is not fully because of this duo of Eno Velvson and Karl Herzlich, it is because the team was just that good. This is not about the team though. Velvson got 33 goals and 49 assists for 82 points and got an impressive +30. Herzlich got 35 wins and good save percentage and good goals against average while getting 6 shutouts. These 2 guys were part of the reason why Vasteras finished the season 1st in the league but then lost to Cologne and the playoff goat Clark in the finals.

Alright the VHLM is where we all start the fun journey to the VHL. So even though teams change a lot there are still players who were there from day 1 of the sims with a great duo. 
 
Philadelphia Reapers had an ok season being in the middle of the pack. Although when you look at the insane duo they had you wonder how they were not #1 in the league. 
 
Caring Bear @thecaringbear and Logan Ninefingers @Scurvy gave the VHLM no chance but it wasn’t just two players with 100+ points no, it was two players with 150+ points. Caring Bear put the goalies in a living nightmare. 69 goals (nice) 97 assists for 166 points with a +/- of 90 just proved that goalies stood no chance. Now you can’t get all of these goals without a wingman so bring in Ninefingers who got 64 goals and 88 assists for 152 points with a +/- of 88. These two players combined for 318 total points so there was no question I had to include this duo.

We head over to Saskatoon for this next duo. Jacob Smith Jr @jacobaa19 and Toddly Bobbly @ToddlyBobbly was a great duo for Wild fans to cheer about. Smith Jr was unable to hit the  50 goal mark but was still able to get 41 goals and 61 assists for 102 points with a +/- of 62. On the other side of the ice we had one of the best goalies in the VHLM that season with player all 72 games getting 56 wins 9 shutouts and great save percentage and goals against average. I do not care what you have to say but this is just a great duo.

Last but not least we head over to Ottawa for the last Best Duo nominee by the names of George Richmond @badcolethetitan and Thijs Mooij @Thijs. Richmond decided to barely get 100 points by getting 46 goals and 55 assists for 101 points and a +/- of 44. Mooij decided not to get 100 points though as he got 36 goals and 61 assists for 97 points and a +/- of 52. Not the best but not the worst so we have to give them props for being a nominee.
 
Nominees are cool but winners are cooler. A very hard decision from the voters and the winner of the S91 Best Duo Award is Philadelphia Reapers - Caring Bear @thecaringbear & Logan Ninefingers @Scurvy. I have to say I am not shocked that they got over 80% of the votes.

Yep, here we go after finishing making the Best Duo article. I decided why not put them in the same article since I am months late. So here we go welcome to the S91 Best Trio Award ceremony!
 
Today we have some very talented players who formed a great trio so I think we should get started.
 
Now since I am late if there are repeating players I will not talk about in depth again.
 
London is back at it but with a friend in the best trio side. You know about Molly the Cat @JCarson and Leonard Triller @Triller but we can’t ignore Jesse Teno @aimkin now. Teno was unbelievable, 40 wins in 64 games, 6 shutouts and overall a really good stat line.

Now a team needs a goalie and what team had that, Riga. Tucker Jr played in 65 games getting 47 wins and 2 shutouts. Riga was a good team but fell short in the playoffs.

Again you need a playmaker for the 50+ goals so Dixon was that guy getting 30 goals and 63 assists for 93 points. What's this, a team needs defense, weird. PEB got 14 goals and an assist a game for 86 points. Offense and defense worked well for this team getting all the way to the finals.

The Reapers are back with their two incredible players but they also brought defender kodie Curran. Curran almost cracked the 100 point mark but fell short getting 21 goals and 75 assists for 96 points while putting up decent defensive numbers.

Alrighty and Ottawa came back… wait I'm getting word that Ottawa got too scared and dropped out of the best trio nominations so here comes the Houston Bulls trio of Pipo Popa, Luna Everdeen and Vanellope von Schweetz. A new foe to end it off. Popa we can talk about last so let's talk about Everdeen. Everdeen thought that he could do both jobs or scoring and passing, getting 42 goals and 40 assists for 82 points. Overall a solid showing, but next we have Schweetz. Schweetz got 15 goals and 64 assists for 79 points and as a defender you must do defensive things as well and Schweetz kinda disappointed. Finally Popa. Popa did something that we have not seen in a while. Best goalie in the league by far and you might think how someone could be better than Bobbly but Popa did it. 52 wins but that isn't the impressive part. A shocking and impressive 22 shutouts! 22 shutouts in a league where two people averaged just over 2 points per game just shows how talented Popa is.

S91 Unofficial Awards
 
A couple weeks ago. Oh wait nevermind over a month ago the 91st season officially ended and I am fucking late but that is not the point. Welcome to the S91 Best Duo Award post over half way through S92. For those of you who are new I came up with this idea for unofficial awards in S90 as I suggested the Best Duo Award and Best Trio Award to become official awards. As you can see they did not, so here I am. Unlike last season where I chose all the winners myself I made a google form and posted it on the forums for people to vote for the winners.
 
Just like last season though I will be going in order of leagues, starting with the VHL and making the way down to the VHLM. Now let me set this straight. To be a nominee you must have been on the same line or by looking at lines had some good playing time together. So you can not have line 1 center and line 2 center be a nominee.
 
So this season we again have three nominees, one nominee from each team that I found a great duo.

Summers seems to be able to carry anyone to a nominee spot with HC Davos Dynamo but this time instead of Skor McFleury we have Leandro Goncalves. Leandro had a great season getting 55 goals, 57 assists for 112 points and a +/- of 41. On the other hand Summers had 46 wins in 64 games played with 5 shutouts. A good save percentage and a decent goal against average.

London did kind of shock me on the fact they have a nominee, but when Molly the Cat and Leonard Triller decide to both dominate in London at the same time I guess this is what you get. Molly had some good points 52 goals and 55 assists for 107 points and a +27. When you look at Triller you find out why Molly got 52 goals because Triller got 79 assists and 24 goals for 103 points and got a +22.

The Americans of New York seem to have found a duo to become a nominee. Jasper Davis and Francesco Mancini on a New York team that struggled they still put up respective numbers. Davis got 39 goals and 66 assists for 105 points with a +5 and Mancini had 47 goals and 54 assists for 101 points with a +3. The fact that they were able to have a positive +/- is crazy.

Dalkr Vidarsson had a good season but when Rome does not help much stats are not as good. Although 39 wins and good save percentage and a great goals against average along with 5 shutouts. A good duo helped lead Rome to the playoffs just to lose to Cologne in the 1st round.

A good duo  to help Stockholm make the playoffs.

Finally, the VHLM. As we know some crazy stuff happened, two players combining for over 300 points and something I have yet to talk about. 
 
The Reapers are back with their two incredible players but they also brought defender kodie Curran. Curran almost cracked the 100 point mark but fell short getting 21 goals and 75 assists for 96 points while putting up decent defensive numbers.

Alrighty and Ottawa came back… wait I'm getting word that Ottawa got too scared and dropped out of the best trio nominations so here comes the Houston Bulls trio of Pipo Popa, Luna Everdeen and Vanellope von Schweetz. A new foe to end it off. Popa we can talk about last so let's talk about Everdeen. Everdeen thought that he could do both jobs or scoring and passing, getting 42 goals and 40 assists for 82 points. Overall a solid showing, but next we have Schweetz. Schweetz got 15 goals and 64 assists for 79 points and as a defender you must do defensive things as well and Schweetz kinda disappointed. Finally Popa. Popa did something that we have not seen in a while. Best goalie in the league by far and you might think how someone could be better than Bobbly but Popa did it. 52 wins but that isn't the impressive part. A shocking and impressive 22 shutouts! 22 shutouts in a league where two people averaged just over 2 points per game just shows how talented Popa is.

S91 Unofficial Awards
 
A couple weeks ago. Oh wait nevermind over a month ago the 91st season officially ended and I am fucking late but that is not the point. Welcome to the S91 Best Duo Award post over half way through S92. For those of you who are new I came up with this idea for unofficial awards in S90 as I suggested the Best Duo Award and Best Trio Award to become official awards. As you can see they did not, so here I am. Unlike last season where I chose all the winners myself I made a google form and posted it on the forums for people to vote for the winners.
 
Just like last season though I will be going in order of leagues, starting with the VHL and making the way down to the VHLM. Now let me set this straight. To be a nominee you must have been on the same line or by looking at lines had some good playing time together. So you can not have line 1 center and line 2 center be a nominee.
 
So this season we again have three nominees, one nominee from each team that I found a great duo.
Center Leandro Goncalves @leandrofg and Goalie Lachlan Summers @kirbithan of HC Davos Dynamo
Right Winger Molly the Cat @JCarson and Right Winger Leonard Triller @Triller of the London United
Center Jasper Davis @Josh and Left Winger Francesco Mancini @GioSivo of the New York Americans
 
Summers seems to be able to carry anyone to a nominee spot with HC Davos Dynamo but this time instead of Skor McFleury we have Leandro Goncalves. Leandro had a great season getting 55 goals, 57 assists for 112 points and a +/- of 41. On the other hand Summers had 46 wins in 64 games played with 5 shutouts. A good save percentage and a decent goal against average.

Overall great season from the both of them but can they compete to the next two nominees?

London did kind of shock me on the fact they have a nominee, but when Molly the Cat and Leonard Triller decide to both dominate in London at the same time I guess this is what you get. Molly had some good points 52 goals and 55 assists for 107 points and a +27. When you look at Triller you find out why Molly got 52 goals because Triller got 79 assists and 24 goals for 103 points and got a +22.

The Americans of New York seem to have found a duo to become a nominee. Jasper Davis and Francesco Mancini on a New York team that struggled they still put up respective numbers. Davis got 39 goals and 66 assists for 105 points with a +5 and Mancini had 47 goals and 54 assists for 101 points with a +3. The fact that they were able to have a positive +/- is crazy.

Alright, so Rome had a great duo with the leading point scorer and one of the best goalies in the E. Nick Sansoe got 44 goals and 50 assists in a very low scoring VHLE while getting a +20. Dalkr Vidarsson had a good season but when Rome does not help much stats are not as good. Although 39 wins and good save percentage and a great goals against average along with 5 shutouts. A good duo helped lead Rome to the playoffs just to lose to Cologne in the 1st round.

Stockholm made the last playoff spot by 5 points and probably because of the Spanish Moon Moth and Olober Syko duo. Moon Moth went out and got an even amount of goals and assists getting 46 goals and assists for 92 points while getting a -1. The first negative plus minus in this season's nominees. Syko, a former Marlin who continued to do well in between the pipes getting 35 big wins, a good save percentage and a good goals against average. Also got an impressive 7 shutouts. A good duo  to help Stockholm make the playoffs.

Vasteras finished the season being top of the league and that is not fully because of this duo of Eno Velvson and Karl Herzlich, it is because the team was just that good. This is not about the team though. Velvson got 33 goals and 49 assists for 82 points and got an impressive +30. Herzlich got 35 wins and good save percentage and good goals against average while getting 6 shutouts. These 2 guys were part of the reason why Vasteras finished the season 1st in the league but then lost to Cologne and the playoff goat Clark in the finals.

Alright the VHLM is where we all start the fun journey to the VHL. So even though teams change a lot there are still players who were there from day 1 of the sims with a great duo. 
 
Philadelphia Reapers had an ok season being in the middle of the pack. Although when you look at the insane duo they had you wonder how they were not #1 in the league. 
 
Caring Bear @thecaringbear and Logan Ninefingers @Scurvy gave the VHLM no chance but it wasn’t just two players with 100+ points no, it was two players with 150+ points. Caring Bear put the goalies in a living nightmare. 69 goals (nice) 97 assists for 166 points with a +/- of 90 just proved that goalies stood no chance. Now you can’t get all of these goals without a wingman so bring in Ninefingers who got 64 goals and 88 assists for 152 points with a +/- of 88. These two players combined for 318 total points so there was no question I had to include this duo.

We head over to Saskatoon for this next duo. Jacob Smith Jr @jacobaa19 and Toddly Bobbly @ToddlyBobbly was a great duo for Wild fans to cheer about. Smith Jr was unable to hit the  50 goal mark but was still able to get 41 goals and 61 assists for 102 points with a +/- of 62. On the other side of the ice we had one of the best goalies in the VHLM that season with player all 72 games getting 56 wins 9 shutouts and great save percentage and goals against average. I do not care what you have to say but this is just a great duo.

Last but not least we head over to Ottawa for the last Best Duo nominee by the names of George Richmond @badcolethetitan and Thijs Mooij @Thijs. Richmond decided to barely get 100 points by getting 46 goals and 55 assists for 101 points and a +/- of 44. Mooij decided not to get 100 points though as he got 36 goals and 61 assists for 97 points and a +/- of 52. Not the best but not the worst so we have to give them props for being a nominee.
 
Nominees are cool but winners are cooler. A very hard decision from the voters and the winner of the S91 Best Duo Award is Philadelphia Reapers - Caring Bear @thecaringbear & Logan Ninefingers @Scurvy. I have to say I am not shocked that they got over 80% of the votes.

London is back at it but with a friend in the best trio side. You know about Molly the Cat @JCarson and Leonard Triller @Triller but we can’t ignore Jesse Teno @aimkin now. Teno was unbelievable, 40 wins in 64 games, 6 shutouts and overall a really good stat line.

AK92 got 50 goals, 47 assists for 97 points but he can’t just get 50 goals without a playmaker which is why Shrimp is here. Shrimp got 25 goals and 66 assists for 91 points. Now a team needs a goalie and what team had that, Riga. Tucker Jr played in 65 games getting 47 wins and 2 shutouts. Riga was a good team but fell short in the playoffs.

Wolanin said he likes goals and points to his ability. Wolanin got 53 goals and 48 assists. Again you need a playmaker for the 50+ goals so Dixon was that guy getting 30 goals and 63 assists for 93 points. What's this, a team needs defense, weird. PEB got 14 goals and an assist a game for 86 points. Offense and defense worked well for this team getting all the way to the finals.

Summers seems to be able to carry anyone to a nominee spot with HC Davos Dynamo but this time instead of Skor McFleury we have Leandro Goncalves. Leandro had a great season getting 55 goals, 57 assists for 112 points and a +/- of 41. On the other hand Summers had 46 wins in 64 games played with 5 shutouts. A good save percentage and a decent goal against average.

Overall great season from the both of them but can they compete to the next two nominees?

London did kind of shock me on the fact they have a nominee, but when Molly the Cat and Leonard Triller decide to both dominate in London at the same time I guess this is what you get. Molly had some good points 52 goals and 55 assists for 107 points and a +27. When you look at Triller you find out why Molly got 52 goals because Triller got 79 assists and 24 goals for 103 points and got a +22.

Triller and Cat duo was great for London but one more duo to go so let's go see that nominee.
 
The Americans of New York seem to have found a duo to become a nominee. Jasper Davis and Francesco Mancini on a New York team that struggled they still put up respective numbers. Davis got 39 goals and 66 assists for 105 points with a +5 and Mancini had 47 goals and 54 assists for 101 points with a +3. The fact that they were able to have a positive +/- is crazy.

Alright, so Rome had a great duo with the leading point scorer and one of the best goalies in the E. Nick Sansoe got 44 goals and 50 assists in a very low scoring VHLE while getting a +20. Dalkr Vidarsson had a good season but when Rome does not help much stats are not as good. Although 39 wins and good save percentage and a great goals against average along with 5 shutouts. A good duo helped lead Rome to the playoffs just to lose to Cologne in the 1st round.

Stockholm made the last playoff spot by 5 points and probably because of the Spanish Moon Moth and Olober Syko duo. Moon Moth went out and got an even amount of goals and assists getting 46 goals and assists for 92 points while getting a -1. The first negative plus minus in this season's nominees. Syko, a former Marlin who continued to do well in between the pipes getting 35 big wins, a good save percentage and a good goals against average. Also got an impressive 7 shutouts. A good duo  to help Stockholm make the playoffs.

Vasteras finished the season being top of the league and that is not fully because of this duo of Eno Velvson and Karl Herzlich, it is because the team was just that good. This is not about the team though. Velvson got 33 goals and 49 assists for 82 points and got an impressive +30. Herzlich got 35 wins and good save percentage and good goals against average while getting 6 shutouts. These 2 guys were part of the reason why Vasteras finished the season 1st in the league but then lost to Cologne and the playoff goat Clark in the finals.

So nominees have been mentioned in the boring VHLE so who actually won the forward and goalie duos of the VHLE. According to 70.6% of the voters the duo of Center Nick Sansoe @Tipskid97 and Goalie Dalkr Vidarsson @KaleebtheMighty of the Rome Gladiators will win the S91 VHLE Best Duo Award.

Alright the VHLM is where we all start the fun journey to the VHL. So even though teams change a lot there are still players who were there from day 1 of the sims with a great duo. 
 
Philadelphia Reapers had an ok season being in the middle of the pack. Although when you look at the insane duo they had you wonder how they were not #1 in the league. 
 
Caring Bear @thecaringbear and Logan Ninefingers @Scurvy gave the VHLM no chance but it wasn’t just two players with 100+ points no, it was two players with 150+ points. Caring Bear put the goalies in a living nightmare. 69 goals (nice) 97 assists for 166 points with a +/- of 90 just proved that goalies stood no chance. Now you can’t get all of these goals without a wingman so bring in Ninefingers who got 64 goals and 88 assists for 152 points with a +/- of 88. These two players combined for 318 total points so there was no question I had to include this duo.

We head over to Saskatoon for this next duo. Jacob Smith Jr @jacobaa19 and Toddly Bobbly @ToddlyBobbly was a great duo for Wild fans to cheer about. Smith Jr was unable to hit the  50 goal mark but was still able to get 41 goals and 61 assists for 102 points with a +/- of 62. On the other side of the ice we had one of the best goalies in the VHLM that season with player all 72 games getting 56 wins 9 shutouts and great save percentage and goals against average. I do not care what you have to say but this is just a great duo.

Last but not least we head over to Ottawa for the last Best Duo nominee by the names of George Richmond @badcolethetitan and Thijs Mooij @Thijs. Richmond decided to barely get 100 points by getting 46 goals and 55 assists for 101 points and a +/- of 44. Mooij decided not to get 100 points though as he got 36 goals and 61 assists for 97 points and a +/- of 52. Not the best but not the worst so we have to give them props for being a nominee.
 
Nominees are cool but winners are cooler. A very hard decision from the voters and the winner of the S91 Best Duo Award is Philadelphia Reapers - Caring Bear @thecaringbear & Logan Ninefingers @Scurvy. I have to say I am not shocked that they got over 80% of the votes.

Yep, here we go after finishing making the Best Duo article. I decided why not put them in the same article since I am months late. So here we go welcome to the S91 Best Trio Award ceremony!
 
Today we have some very talented players who formed a great trio so I think we should get started.
 
Now since I am late if there are repeating players I will not talk about in depth again.
 
London is back at it but with a friend in the best trio side. You know about Molly the Cat @JCarson and Leonard Triller @Triller but we can’t ignore Jesse Teno @aimkin now. Teno was unbelievable, 40 wins in 64 games, 6 shutouts and overall a really good stat line.

Alright a new foe has entered the ring and that team is the Riga Reign. Riga had AK92 @hedgehog337, Baby Shrimp @Blazzer and Henry Tucker Jr @NSG. AK92 got 50 goals, 47 assists for 97 points but he can’t just get 50 goals without a playmaker which is why Shrimp is here. Shrimp got 25 goals and 66 assists for 91 points. Now a team needs a goalie and what team had that, Riga. Tucker Jr played in 65 games getting 47 wins and 2 shutouts. Riga was a good team but fell short in the playoffs.

Another new foe, welcome the Helsinki Titans. The Titans have brought Landon Wolanin @jacobcarson877, Daryl Dixon @Ricer13 and Pierre Emile Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito. Wolanin said he likes goals and points to his ability. Wolanin got 53 goals and 48 assists. Again you need a playmaker for the 50+ goals so Dixon was that guy getting 30 goals and 63 assists for 93 points. What's this, a team needs defense, weird. PEB got 14 goals and an assist a game for 86 points. Offense and defense worked well for this team getting all the way to the finals.

Finally, the VHLM. As we know some crazy stuff happened, two players combining for over 300 points and something I have yet to talk about. 
 
The Reapers are back with their two incredible players but they also brought defender kodie Curran. Curran almost cracked the 100 point mark but fell short getting 21 goals and 75 assists for 96 points while putting up decent defensive numbers.

Alrighty and Ottawa came back… wait I'm getting word that Ottawa got too scared and dropped out of the best trio nominations so here comes the Houston Bulls trio of Pipo Popa, Luna Everdeen and Vanellope von Schweetz. A new foe to end it off. Popa we can talk about last so let's talk about Everdeen. Everdeen thought that he could do both jobs or scoring and passing, getting 42 goals and 40 assists for 82 points. Overall a solid showing, but next we have Schweetz. Schweetz got 15 goals and 64 assists for 79 points and as a defender you must do defensive things as well and Schweetz kinda disappointed. Finally Popa. Popa did something that we have not seen in a while. Best goalie in the league by far and you might think how someone could be better than Bobbly but Popa did it. 52 wins but that isn't the impressive part. A shocking and impressive 22 shutouts! 22 shutouts in a league where two people averaged just over 2 points per game just shows how talented Popa is.
