Debut.... the French word meaning "the butt". It has been a pretty solid start to the Rock's VHL career. He's so far seen more minutes per game than his average in the VHLM last season and he's been averaging 3 hits per game... in fact, he's almost gotten 3 hits in every single one of the first 7 games - all but 2 in fact, where he got 2 and 5 hits. He has yet to register a point but has been on the ice for a fair few goals, having a decent plus/minus rating. The Rock is not worried about getting his first point yet. The GM will be switching some things up amongst the youngsters on the team as the young core try to find there place in the team. With such young talent, and that potent mix of veterans and players in the peak of their career, the Seattle Bears are set to make a solid run for the Cup. However there's still a lot of work to do, and the Rock needs to start proving that he can contribute offensively as well. Until next week, this was VHL correspondent, Mike Hunt

1. What are your thoughts on Seattle adding @Victor's player Rara Rasputin? You can't really have negative thoughts about it... Victor is a stand-up guy and makes awesome players. Do I know anything about Rara? Nope, and I don't need to know anything else except it's Viccy's player. 2. Did you expect Malmo to win the cup or was it a surprise? It wasn't a total shock. Ever since being drafted to them in their second ever season, and making the Cup run to the finals, I knew they had it in them for a cup. I'm glad they could pull it off. Very happy for the lads. 3. What are your thoughts on the Bears draft? Not to be too vain, but I thought the Bears did a great job with the draft. You can't argue that @Hex Universe and @Toast aren't awesome. Well, you can, but you'd be an idiot. And I think swiping me at 12th OA will proof to be a pretty solid pick. 3 forwards, with the Rock being the heavy hitter.. maybe someday we'll see a dominant line? 4. How do you think the Bears are going to do next season? Cup run. It's gonna happen. I know we have a couple of guys on the brink of a breakout season, and hopefully with our new draftees we can provide some solid depth to the team to put together a great campaign. 5. What are your plans for next weekend? Staying home. Cleaning, purging my wife's stuff. Walking the puppy, binging something on TV, doing 2 long power workouts... you know, the usual for nowadays 6. Does your player have any superstitions? The Rock looks at and does a pre-game workout to bodybuilders motivational youtube videos. The Rock used to do his own videos but now that he's playing hockey professionally, he doesn't have the time so he enjoys looking at what others are doing... and then doing it better than them.

I think it depends who you ask - @sterling, for instance, would say I suck.... ...and I wouldn't argue with him.

I'll allow you to lick me @gorlab Also, now a true reason to prove myself with the Rock. I can't let you down, brah

DRAFT HYPE! Great article! @MattyIce Here's something interesting for you: The Rock had 151 hits Braxton, the VHLM league leader, had 289 hits However the Rock only played around 11 minutes/game. Both players averaged a hit every 5.5 minutes. FUN WITH NUMBERS!

The Rock's Prospect Scouting Report The Junior review is in, the season has completed, and the draft is tomorrow. Although the comparison of what was touted in the Junior review and what happened over the course of the season does not add up for Phil the Rock Johnson, one thing has definitely be established. He will be a first-round pick. The Rock’s season was not a standout one, but let us be honest, it’s hard to make any impression when you average just 11 minutes per game. In those 11 minutes, he averaged: 1 shot every 17.4 minutes 1 point every 104.6 minutes 1 hit every 5.5 minutes 1 hit taken every 38 minutes Okay, so his hits to hits taken ratio is pretty great, but productivity-wise, he suffered a lot. Will this effect his draft stock? Player Agent, Phil Knight thinks that if you are questioning that, then you’re a f***ing idiot: “His a big man that played limited minutes. It doesn’t take a genius to see that with his practice hours rate, he’s turn into an amazing playmaker in no time. The man will constantly give you repossession of the puck and couple that with his ability to pass and make plays, the oversaturate pure-goal scorers of this league will rise to stardom quickly because of him.” His physical presence should NOT be under-estimated. Despite only playing 11 minutes per game, he put up 151 hits. To put that into perspective for you, the league leader, Braxton Hunter, had 289 hits... but averaged over 22 minutes per game, which is 1 hit every – yes – every 5.5 minutes. However, he had 109 hits received, taking a hit every 14.9 minutes – well more than 2 times the amount Johnson did. The Rock will present far more take-away opportunities for his team than giveaways. The ratio of hits to hits taken has long been underrated in the VHL but it will be the Rock’s mission to enlighten the VHL to the importance of this stat. His player build so far is nothing that really stands out. He’s rated by the VHL to have 70s in most stats, which doesn’t suggest that he’s much of a playmaker, but as his rookie season progresses, it will become clear that his strength, checking, defense, and passing will be his stand-out attributes. His Player Agent, Phil Knight has tried to promote the Rock’s shining attributes and how it can help VHL teams win the Continental Cup. He’s explained his position to many of the GMs so it will be interesting come draft day, whether he’ll stand around 8th pick, or slip lower, or rise higher. So far it looks like he’ll be selected by the Seattle Bears, as they have 7th and 8th overall selection this season, But we will have to wait about 30 hours to see what the VHL thinks of the Rock.

To be Answered on Rock Bottom #9: 1) Do a small mock draft of the First Round. Does the Rock squeeze in? 2) Are there any Future Hall of Famers in this draft? 3) What is the Rock's preference of a VHL team, if any? 4) How is COVID effecting the VHL? 5) How can the Rock improve his Home Gym? 6) Does the Rock have a theme song yet?

With Season 76 VHL Entry draft just days away, the whole VHL community are waiting, titillated, at the prospect of this prospect being a prospective player of a VHL franchise. The Rock, having now just exceeded the VHLm Practice Hours cap, is even more comfortable about his place in the draft. He knows he won't be a top pick, but it seems like he has secured his spot at the end of the first round. Although he could slip lower if people look at his VHLm stats. The man barely had a point, hit... any impact of any kind. But the GMs of this league should be smarter than that. For the better half of the latter half of the season, the Rock was limited to around 4 minutes per game. For a more appropriate look at what the Rock cooks and then brings to the table, we defer to Player Agent, and Builder Hall of Fame, Phil Knight. "His development will not be immediate. He's a big lad with eyes like an eagle. It will take time for him to get his skating and checking in balance, as well as secure himself as a great playmaker, but coaches and GMs should be alerted to the fact that if they have a pure goal scorer, they should consider grabbing the Rock. They will pair so nicely.. especially if they lack a decent third body." It's the Rock's hope that he wins a Boulet, but as always, the Continental Cup is the crowning achievement. He'll naturally rack up a number of hits during his career, but if he can be placed with a pure goal scorer, and continue his practice output... there will be no way that the GM that selects him will regret it.

1. Amazing series against Miami with the big sweep. Was the Miami series what you expected? I did not expect the sweep! It was obvious we had the upper hand but to just blow them away in 4 games... I was predicting 5 at least. Great to see. Proud of the lads. 2. We’re onto round two in a matchup with Philadelphia I believe. What is the strategy to taking on the top team in the East? Play The Rock more... if we don't, we'll lose! Trust me, I can see the future! No looking back. 3. Who was the MVP of round one? For San Diego? For the VHLM? Gunnar has been playing EXCEPTIONALLY well. He's the MVP of Round 1 for all teams. I really hope the Rock and him can play together in the future! 4. With Chicago and Moscow moving on, what is your prediction for the Continental Cup of the VHL? I would have guessed Moscow to beat Malmo... but it's weird to see Malmo back in the finals after all these seasons. I think the last time was when Marleau was in his first or second season! GOOD ON THEM 5. Which series has surprised you most so far across both, the VHL and VHLM? Again, I would have to say that it's the Malmo defeat of Moscow. Moscow have asserted themselves as staple contenders so whenever you bring down a regime like that it's a surprise! 6. With the New Year coming, what are some goals you have for our next loop around the sun? The Rock needs to be drafte The Rock needs to win The Stolzy The Rock needs to be the hits leader The Rock needs to temper his expectations
