QUESTIONS: What are Seattle doing right at this point in time? Why is Phil The Rock Johnson only half sucking right now? He's actually starting to earn his keep? What would @gregreg @Kendrickand I do if we went on an outing on a weekend? What do you think of my new podcast series idea, starting maybe next Friday? Which team does the Bears have to worry about THE MOST? How are YOU doing? No, really? How are you actually doing? If the answer is less than 90% awesome, always know you can reach out to me and talk if you want. I'm here for you!

KnightTime Studios have been working hard for years to bring you quality content and podcasts and just recently unveils their new "Relaxed Fit" series which will be called: DrUnK PoDcAsT It will be presented by DrunkTime Podcasting, a division of KnightTime radio and the first episode will be airing as early as next Friday. "I think it's about time for the world to experience a different type of podcasting from us" says owner and creator Phil Knight. "This should show the VHL community a diverse style of podcasting that everyone can enjoy and absolutely no one will be insulted by, and I can't emphasize that enough". Unconfirmed sources who say they spotted bigfoot @JardyB10 yesterday, also say that Knight got the idea from this sort thread and more specifically @MattyIce We don't know... we actually don't care.. but bottoms up lads and lasses... cheers to beers and to the weekend. Let's hope this lives up to the hyp3! Sincerely, Me.

Bana's S77 Quick Q's EASTER 31. What are your plans for the upcoming weekend? - chilling with my homies. As in my wife and my puppy. My in-laws are down the street so I may invite them over too 32. Do you have any plans this year for Easter? - See previous answer. Staying safe, hopefully the weather's good enough to take my pup for a long long walk. I'm going to need to do a couple of workouts too. 33. When you think of Easter, what is one good memory that comes to mind for you? - For a complete story - see my VHL.com article. here: 36. @Kendrick plans to have the team over for a covid safe Easter team dinner. What is he cooking for us all?? - how the fuck can you have a COVID safe dinner? Kendrick I love you bro but that's some misguided shit. If you're bbqing I'll come over. Please cook me some rare steaks!! COVID be damned that would be worth it. 37. @Shiny Snuck into the Bears LR and pulled an Easter prank on the team... what did they do? - they laid some eggs in our shower room - and by that I mean they took a shit in our showers... 38. @InstantRockstar came up with a secret plan to egg the commissioners homes. What is the strategy? How will you get away with it? - He just wits until they're busy with the live simming... and fire away! 39. It's @drewowo first Easter with the Bears and maybe the league... for some reason, we always tell them they have to be initiated... how do we welcome him to VHL/SEATTLE EASTER?!?! - We all go out for some fantastic Cabury Cream Egg McFlurries! !

@Banackock's press conference question got me thinking of a memorable question, so I turned it into Storytime with KnighTime Studios: My loser brother @Knight failed to do his homework (I was Gr 8 he was Gr 5) and he invited his friend over. My mum wouldn't let him play with his friend until he had done all his school work so I was forced to babysit him. He had never ridden a scooter before So I took him to the park to teach him. I was on a skateboard. on the way home, he cut me off so instead of crashing into him, or just to the left into oncoming traffic I jumped to the grass on my right, but I landed on my skateboard and broke my leg. I heard the fucking snap. I knew immediately it was broken. I yelled at him to go get my parents. They didn't believe me so he came back and told me that they said just come home. I told him that I wasn't fucking around and to tell them to pick me up. Knowing I was on my own, I lay on my skateboard and started to push myself down the street. In the distance I saw my brother's friend yet again running towards me... this time carrying a pair of my crutches from a year earlier where I was hospitalize with Osteomyelitis in my other leg... they apparently thought I was being a drama queen. When I finally go home and after icing it for 20 minutes only when my mum saw my leg misshapen did she believe me. The worst part? My brother's friend got to do the Easter Egg Hunt in my place. Fucking Easter...

In the height of my activity, I used to post a GaME OF THE WEEK in the lockerroom, where I'd recap for the team, what I thought was our best Game of the week. Does anyone remember that?

DEFINITELY MACHINEHEAD - Maybe even The Chemical Between Us???

25. Opening day for the VHL. What did the Bears "giveaway" for their home opener to isolated fans in the stands? - Bobbleheads of Phil the Rock Johnson - except instead of the head, his pecs bobble! 26. For opening day, the Bears had a band play the opening anthem and a couple songs in between periods. Who was the band and what did they play? - They had the Devon Townsend Project come and play to inject some life into DA BEARZ, and it totally worked. The song is called Life. 27. What did you get up to this last weekend? - It was beautiful weather so I went for a couple of long walks with my wife and dog. Didn't have to wear a jacket for the first time this season, so I was very happy. 28. What are your plans for this week? - Very busy at work, working on a potentially career turning project. You won't get to see much of me because of this. 29. @Shiny had a massive first sim for his team in the M. 6 PTS in 2 GP! During his interview, his teammates slammed something into his face to be funny and celebrate. What was it? What was their reaction? - It was the traditional Pie in the Face. A whipped cream pie that truly made a heck of a lot of a mess 30. @gregreg got mistaken for a celebrity while cruising around Seattle. Who did they confuse him for? What was his reaction? - They mistook him for Henry Caville, you know, because greg's fucking superman!!

1. What are your thoughts on the Chicago Phoenix winning the Continental Cup? My thoughts are CONGRATULATIONS CHICAGO!!!! It's always exciting to see a franchise get it's first Continental Cup. Except Stocking Vikings. Fuck those guys. 2. Thoughts on @Beaviss stepping down? What did you get him as a "thank you" gift? HE:S WHAT?>?> This is what we get when I dont go on the site for 6 days?? Oh boy. Well the lad must have his reasons. He's been so involved for so many seasons, it's probably a great thing for him. I'll give him a banner in the Seattle Locker room. I'm not sure I have the authority to do that but I'll try. 3. @Toast @aksuko @drewowo are all coming up to the VHL from the VHLM. Any words of advice or encouragement? When things seem bleak and dark, when you're player is not living up to your expectations... remember it could always be worse. You could be the Rock Johnson. 4. Who do you think goes first overall in the upcoming VHL Entry Draft? Why? HERE! @OrbitingDeath Green goes first because Green is legend. Green means go! 5. Who do you think goes 2nd overall? Why? @rjfrymangoes second because who doesn't want a centre and the dude responsible for the draft rankings system muhahaha! 6. Who do you think goes 3rd overall? @Mr_Hatter goes third overall because he is a solid member with his consistency now rooted in the league. I tip my hat to him, the good sir!

This decision was rigged. Simon T wants it this way!

1) VHL Finals Predictions? Who is going to win by how much? 2) Discuss the Rock's Off-Season and how he'll get to where he needs to be to be a help to Seattle? 3) Predict how Seattle's S77 will go. What moves do they need to make if any to really be competitive in North America? 4) The Player Store recently went on a fire-sale and slice most of their prices in Half or more. What are your thoughts on this? 5) What will the Rock do for his birthday? How will he celebrate? 6) Can you pick an article and read it on air?

The Rock will be plugging away at some of his latent hockey skills... namely all of them. "I've got a lot of work to put in... in all areas and facets of my game. It's kind of daunting, knowing that to be a the calibre of a BAD VHL player I need to improve so much in every sense of my game, so going to the gym 10 times a weeks is just not going to cut it. I mean, it will help my strength and checking and endurance.. and possibly skating (with all the HIIT I'm doing) but I will be needing to hit the ice and practice some real hockey-specific training methods." The Rock is full of fire to help him get to were he wants to go, but is that going to be enough? Just wanting something doesn't necessary predict success. After a dismal and brief rookie campaign he'll be setting his sights on more ice time and the Funk Trophy, the VHL's most improved player award, but at this point it seems he will be happy with just getting a normal amount of ice time every game. Let's see what Season 77 brings!

Between A Rock and A Rookie Season Phil “The Rock” Johnson’s Rookie campaign has been by no means a fairytale. It has been full of disappointment and darkness. Come to think of it, it’s actually set the stage for the most fantastical underdog story of the VHL. The Rock That Could. The Rock was drafted by the Seattle Bears in the latter half of the first round – at 12th overall. It was Seattle’s 3rd pick of the draft. It was a little lower than Johnson wanted but not higher than everyone expected. Johnson was pleased to be on Seattle and his player agent, Phil Knight was even happier still, as he’s had nothing but good experiences with the Organization. This will be his 3rd player to step into the home locker room in Seattle. Looking at his season stats does not do his perception any favours. The Rock played in all 72 games but only registered 3 points. Before the halfway point of the season, his General Manager, who was not impressed with his play, decided to bench him and limit his play. So throughout his rookie season he only averaged 7.6 minutes per game, which was the second lowest in the league. It’s not that he didn’t deserve to be on restricted minutes, but the GM couldn’t gamble on the Rock eating minutes trying to improve. He needed to prove in practice that he was good enough, but that apparently never happened. It’s not all bad though. The Rock did lay out 69 hits, and only got hit 9 times, proving himself to be a physical presence that did a solid job of reclaiming the puck and causing turnovers. He also did an admirable job stepping into the face off circle when needed, ending the season with a 43.59% win percentage. In the playoffs, Phil appeared on the ice for just 2 minutes over the 10 games, average just 23 seconds a game… barely even a shift. He would have loved to help his team out more, but ultimately there were just better players than needed to carry the team. Seattle lost in the Conference Semi-Finals to Chicago, who are currently awaiting their opponents in the Finals, so was it all for naught? Overall, Phil Knight has never had a player that has been on restricted minutes. He takes pride in the players he accepts to the agency being stand-out talents, so he’s a little worried that with all the restrictions placed on The Rock, that his development will be damaged for the rest of his career, but hope remains. “I know what the Rock is capable of – that why I signed him. I see the talent this young athlete has and so I definitely expect a bounce-back season from him. That is, provided the organization gives him the minutes to shine. It’s that much harder to develop if you’re only getting a couple of minutes per game. But he’ll be alright.” What the future holds for the Rock, we do not know, but the stage is set for him to become the Cinderella story of the S76 draft. The hairiest, most muscular Cinderella, but still.

It was wizardly. It was other worldly. It was magic. Not many words can begin to touch upon the brilliance of that moment but let's give it some context: Seattle are the underdogs in this series matchup against Chicago. They are down 2-1 in the series and currently down 2-1 in the game, despite badly outshooting them in the first period and heading into the second up 1-0. It's the second period now and within 4 minutes, Chicago fired two passed @Victor Rara. Chicago are controlling the pace of the game, and now the pace of the series. They have DA BEARZ right where they want them. Rookies Johnson and Hex @Hex Universe have sat almost the entire playoffs. A Calculated move by @Banackock to put his team's best foot forward. Not an unwise choice, as it's proven to work so far! But for whatever reason, 14 minutes into the 2nd, with the momentum heavily in Chicago's favour he turns to Hex Rose and tells him to get on the ice. Hex blazes onto the ice and immediately gets into a position to wire it on net. He flunks the shot and it dribbles towards Camus who bats in into the corner with ease. However, it only took Seattle 30 seconds to regain the puck. Han Jae Kuk finds the puck and flings it over to the hash marks where Rose stood, waiting, muttering something under his breath. He sees the puck coming and one-times it with ferocity into the back of the net!! It was unbelievable. The Rookie played just 54 seconds, score the goal that will be forever known as the TSN Turning point. The puck went into the net so fast that Chicago did not even see it. It's even hard to see how in slow motion. There's only one conclusion. It was definitely a Hex.

1. How do you feel the Bears season went? Up and down - we definitely lost some games we should have won, but overall we have a vibrant and younger team so I think we're set for the future, even if this year isn't our year 2. Which team surprised you the most in the VHL? Probably Chicago - to see them finish with the third best record in the league after only being a couple of seasons old as a franchise is a pretty impressive feat. Let's see how they cope in the playoffs though 3 What are your thoughts on playing Calgary in a best of 5 in round 1? 2ez. We're 2gud. We'll make quick work of them. 4. @Spartakiller2 Guy Lambert finished the season with 97 points in 72 games.. This is a 90 point improvement of last seasons totals (7 in 52). You sent him a text. What did you tell them? "Guyyyyyyyyyy. I'm hoping to be you next season - but I finished with 4 points and next season I'm gunning for 100 so I think we'll both win most improved.. I was more improver. Gratz buddy!" 5. I just noticed Phoenix Dawson @Toast tied Guy Lambert for points. There's some competition. They made a bet. What was the wager?? "Let's see if we can rig it so that gorlab has something to say about it." trolololol 6. @aksuko finished the season 31-31-7. HUGE IMPROVEMENT and Role increase! To celebrate and reward himself... he spent some of his earned cash.. what did they buy? A Mercedes XL. Understated and classy... until he had them paint it magenta!
