Well, it's back. I told you it would be. I also told you it would be sporadic. I never had the drive to become a hockey player in the first place... that's probably why I wasn't even near the Rookie of the Year Ballot, but I don't mind.
You hear of a lot of athletes having phenomenal work rates or mental drive mixed with brilliant genes and talent to get to the elite level. I on the other hand, have never experienced this 'drive'. I just never really wanted to do anything else. The thought of doing something other than hockey... that was drive enough for me.
Don't misinterpret me. I am not saying that I have god-given divine powers because I made it to the VHL without busting my balls. Of course I worked hard. But you take a look at... let's say.... my agent's past VHL clients: Phil Gerrard and Phil Rafter. Those 2 where dedicated.muthafuckers.
Nevertheless, I am not them. I will never be them. I will never be a superstar. I am okay with this.
