I didn't make sigs for them, but I do remember making a (very 2008) meme about Zimmers being "rich".

This was for Zimmers' league that lasted about a month, went through one season and was 100% rigged.

 

 

OSHL

Boulet & Scotty's league that folded because scotty's PS2 crashed, thus the VHL was born.

I can't really remember these leagues, but they were ran by VHLers that folded once the VHL started. I'm pretty sure Slobodzian ran it.. Maybe @Beketov?? How's your memory Sharpe?

He was indeed Manship. Though I think Tyler was also a Dubnikov.

Ah yes I remember rocking this sig for quite a while actually even though it had my name spelt wrong haha. Probably around the time when I played in the M for the Toledo Scorpions (im old apparently).

I don’t think I’ve ever actually spoken with anyone who was on that team, at least not in the last decade. Didn’t Robbie’s team only lose like 2 games that season or something? Was he super obvious in the locker room that it was rigged because it was pretty clear to everyone else anyway haha.

 

On the plus side it was there that I was linked to the VHL so that worked out.

Iirc, scottys league that was the precursor to VHL was ESHL. I think @JeffD found an archive of the old standings page

ESHL was before the OSHL, it ran for quite a bit longer. OSHL only ran for I think 2 or 3 seasons.

Pavel definitely sounds right. Can’t for the life of me recall which is which kind you but one was Manship and one was Tyler.

Tyler was a Habs fan and that was peak Andrei Kostitsyn era so I assume he was Andrei Dubnikov.

Maybe it wasn’t more than a season but it definitely had games, I remember them pretty distinctly. I wonder if I can find it on the way back machine.

 

Edit: doesn’t look like I can find the link as easy as the OG VHL one so I’m guessing I can’t find any archives of it. I’m sure we had some games though.

Not much but the main page from like S2 is archived on the wayback machine. I’ve posted it on this forum before but I can’t remember where at the moment. You can’t see many posts mind you, it’s mostly just the main page.
