Baby Boomer 753
@ace_five_ Welcome everyone, We are here for the first season of the VHLM without the VHLE in over 15 seasons. So, this season is going to be really special and different of the other ones. I did the season preview of the VHLE for a couple of seasons and I think I can easily say that this season preview is one of the most difficult one to do. Indeed, the teams are pretty much all similar, so it is really possible that you may disagree with me. #1 Ottawa Lynx With the VHLE now dead, the Ottawa got really lucky and River Harrington @kirbithan and Brandon Petan Jr @sadie, their 2nd and 4th pick overall respectively in the S95 VHLM draft, are back with the team for a 3rd season. In addition of Harrington and Petan Jr, Ottawa can count on two veterans in Ocean Codoller @FreshOceanCod and Masa Akimoto @Hokikeijot to solidify their offensive and defensive core. In the net, the Lynx can count on two really young goalies in Vadlimir Trunov @qripll and Dr Victor von Doom @Garsh who will continue to grow and help the team as the season go. #2 Philadelphia Reapers Just like the Ottawa Lynx, the Philapelphia Reapers got the chance to keep key players, like Youre Not Fucking Retiring @twists and Bret Weier @Quanack, because of the end of the VHLE. Players like Taylor Swift @lilchrist and Wefernardo Mackingikus @vincentlg2007 are going to be really important to make the froward core stronger. In defense, Einar Mathiesen @xsjack and Cody Toland @ctoland102 are without a doubt going to be the quarterbacks of this defense. Onyekachukwu Chidieber Oluwaseun @TenIQ is going to be the veteran presence in front of the net. #3 Mississauga Hounds The Mississauga Hounds are one of the teams with the fewest number of players in their roster. Indeed, with only six forwards and four defensemen, the Hounds don't have a lot of depth player, but at least they can count on solid players. Indeed, Nikita Yolishev @Joel Main and Filip Zinek @FiZi are going to be leaders of the team offensively and Slava Kovalenko @OblivionWalker and Kurt Bachmann @Blutch will lead the team defensively. Bartholomew Lorequavius @jaypc8237 is going to be the man of trust for the Mississauga Hounds to keep the net. #4 Mexico City Kings The Mexico City Kings are probably the strangest team of the VHLM. Indeed, on paper the Kings have the worst offense ofin the league, but also the best defense and one of the best goalies in the league in Chazz Micheal Micheals @Xflexz. The defense of Mexico is led by two of the best defensemen of the league, Alagsantere Groenvold @VattghernCZ and Wadyslaw Mintus @mintusaurus. The only problem of Mexico City I see, is their lack of super stars on the 1st forward line. Indeed, the Kings offense is filled with depth and 2nd line forwards, but if the team can improve their attack, they will be unstoppable. #5 Las Vegas Aces When you look at the Las Vegas roster, it is completely the opposite of the Mexico City Kings. Indeed, the Las Vegas Aces have one of the best offenses and one of the worst defenses, but they slso have one of the best goalies, if not THE best in Deadpanda @Alex. The offense of Las Vegas is led by the veteran Marek Nowaczyk @Chillybro and Kevin OConnor @Luke033. For the defense, it is struggling, but it is also really young and I see the rising stars Albin Aldgard @animal74 and Manuel Ceson @dylanjj37 becoming better as the season goes. #6 Miami Marauders The Miami Marauders are on paper the team with the best depth forwards and this is what is going to help them this season. In addition, the forward core can count on veterans to lead them like Elf shoes @ELF_SH0ES and Anthony Simmons II @Starchychaff. The goaltender Draw Mac @okochastar will have to be really good this season if they want to keep the team in the playoffs race as the defense is very young and will need some support. Narnia Shaw @Dabnad and Dog Jagr @koty_k are both promising players and will continue to improve during the season. #7 Houston Bulls The Houston Bulls are pretty much in the middle of the league at each positions. Indeed, they don't really have any super star, but they can count on some good depth at each position. On offense, Robin Sierra @ethanjaeda and David Vanhousen @David VanHousen will be the leaders of the team and on defense, Scrungle Bungle @Novanod will have to step up as the quarterback of this unit. The situation in front of the net is probably what will cause problems to the Houston Bulls. However, I can still see this team causing some shockwaves this season. #8 San Diego Marlins The next three teams are teams that I don't really see making the playoffs or having a long run in it and that will be in a rebuilding stage this year. In my opinion, San Diego is the only one of the three that I can see causing some surprises. Indeed, they can count on veterans like Jean-Pierre Devote @eagle_3450 and Nicholas Sunderbruch Jr @NickSunderbruch on offense and Blaze Thunderstrike @eaglesfan036 on defense. In the net, they have a really good goalie in Ricky LaFleur @DarkSpyro that will continue to develop and be really good sooner rather than later. #9 Halifax 21st The biggest weakness of the Halifax 21st is definitively going to be their depth players on offense and defense. Indeed, the 21st can still count on some super stars, but the team is only carried by two or three players. Halifax can count on one of the best goalies of the league in Jon Webber Jr @Webberj and I would not be surprised if he steals a couple of games all by himself this season. Boris Bone-Breaker @RileyL will also have to be really good defensively and offensively if they want to have a chance to win some games this season. #10 Saskatoon Wild The season will be long in Saskatoon and I don't see them winning a lot of games in the regular season. However, the team is really young and can count on some rising stars like Brigitta Sandstrom @Acydburn and CJ Daniels @xNJDevilsFanx who will help them in the upcoming seasons. If Saskatoon wants to win some games this season, Drosmis Sarkanis @Mr Bohannan will have to play on top of his head all season long. That’s all for me, thanks everyone for reading, I wish you all a good regular season and see you in another VSN article!
