It’s the fact that just over half way through this year, the VHL will be celebrating a decade of life. That… is … just.. well I’m not even sure how to phrase this. It’s staggering. And I’ve been here since 2009, and it’s felt like I’ve grown up with the members still hanging around here. I’ve seen VHL members get girlfriends, engaged, and then married, and in some cases have children. I’ve seen high school students graduate, go to college or university, graduate, and then get full-time jobs. It’s really quite amazing to me that throughout this ever-changing and dynamic process of life, that something as fragile as a sim league has managed to stay a constant for now close to 10 years. It’s been a ride and a half and I still remember calling David @Knight a nerd for being involved in sim leagues. I realize that for myself, why I enjoy so much is because of all the great nerds who are on here. Because we are… we’re all nerdy about something. Since the VHL started I got a girlfriend, graduated high school, went to u oversight, graduated university, got engaged, got a full time job, and got married.... god damn I've been here a long time.
