Kohler to Free Agency

Tyson Kohler is fresh off another one-year contract with the Calgary Wranglers, but this time it doesn't appear he will be staying in the Alberta city. Kohler hasn't given much thought to free agency but seeing as his contract is no longer a thing in Calgary and their rebuild seeming pretty certain, he has to start crunching numbers. The European Conference doesn't look so good right now in regards to each teams current level of play. Riga might be in the finals right now but the team past this year looks very shaky and it appears a rebuild might be coming for them. Davos is in limbo with a General Manager that means well, but isn't really that hands on and it looks as though he isn't too thrilled about the position as he once stated. Stockholm doesn't look too bad but they also aren't really in a solid position. Cologne seem to be going through a management change soon and the roster itself is very lopsided with very few prospects and players in their system. Helsinki is very strange just because they seem to be the team we don't hear much about in recent articles. I don't see the Titans competing this year or even know when they plan on doing so.

Over in North America we already touched on Calgary going through some limbo. New York doesn't have cap space plus the locker room would probably be a bit of a hassle. Seattle once again failed to do anything in the playoffs (notice how I didn't go and rub that in their faces), so their future is up in arms it seems. Toronto might be switching GM's? We never know because Molholt seems to wear his thoughts on a tiny rope and see where the wind blows them. The team itself has a bunch of retiring players so they will be going through a rebuild regardless of who is the GM in the future. Quebec City doesn't interest Kohler much because it seems they are always stuck in a middle position and don't really progress or get horribly worse. The choice will be tough considering salary cap is the one of the biggest issues as well. Might be safe to just sign somewhere to get a ton of points like Gorlab did at one point in his tenure here. The voting in the past awards can tell you that sometimes GM's just look at stats and not advanced stats anyways. That's if the voting changes or not...

Rebuild in Calgary? It's weird tbh.

Try to re-sign with remaining players + get a goalie and then CAL can fight for sure IMO.

Where's this goalie going to come from?

From...uhmm...DAVOS. Skye should be traded in this off-season imo.

Goon probably has other plans tho.

See but they'd have to have the appropriate assets to acquire him as well without killing their current roster talent.

The only issue is where does all the production come from?

I'll have around 400 TPE at the beginning. Moholt is around 300. Add in a fee pieces and with a weak Europe, we'd be alright.
