Phil 5,156 Posted January 20, 2017 Share Posted January 20, 2017 The Board of Governors have already started voting on some of the VHL awards and I have to tell you, it’s already paying off. After years of outspoken confusion as to why just the eight or ten GMs vote on the awards, some years with obvious bias or even no thought put into it, the league has finally decided that the voting should take place in an open conversation among the Board of Governs. The members then have the opportunity to make a case for a candidate and others can state their opinions and own views on the subject, which can (and already has) provided some extra perspectives of a candidate. But most of all, is the idea that there is a general consensus among a decision.
