No money, then I would have a goal of reaching too much money. If I have too much money, the goal of reaching no money seems less glamorous.

2. Very likely not. Maybe my kids will want to watch it, but that wouldn't be until it hits a streaming service or I pirate it.

1. Montreal! They're a huge hockey city. It just seems weird that there's no Montreal team for either VHL, VHLE, or VHLM.

2. Eventually. Not this release weekend, but eventually. I imagine it will likely be one day with my little nephews.

3. Make it so my players always do well and I always win cups.

4. I had a buddy in high school that we called Ricer, and he was a Chinese guy. He was 5'7", so I'll go with that. Lol. I'll say Ben is taller.

5. Too much money. I mean, no money means poverty. Too much money and you can live however you want.

6. It's not an album, it's a mixtape, but Friday Night Lights by J. Cole. If I had to pick an album it would probably be Riot! by Paramore.

1. Just the high of the season start wearing off. We will get our groove again.

2. I'd love to be reliable enough for PK time.

5.  Right now I'm planning a week long vacation in Tennessee. Should be interesting.

6. A hybrid so I don't have to pay $50 in gas every week.

1. We love to have rocky starts. We'll pull it together. Just need more scoring consistency, and of course for Saku to pop off again would help.

2. I think I get as much as I need! No complaints here.

3. Playoff spot and hopefully a run at things.

4. A pair of Wranglers jeans.

5. Just work and lots of lake activities. Lots of laying in the sun.

6. I just bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk in October. But I'd definitely get a nice sports car as a side car if I could. Mustang GT350 or something.

1. I think our power play has a lot of room for improvement, but otherwise it is just what a sim league will always be. A throw of dice, you win some, you lose some (not that I like losing, mind you).

2. I am not one for asking for more icetime. This needs to be deserved by performance and there is nothing degrading in mentoring the rookies in the second or third line in my eyes (to the contrary, to me this is a sign of trust).

3. We will make the playoffs and then everything is possible (even handing Spartan his fifth final loss in a row)

We are too nice. We need to get some hits and fights to get the crowd going, and also to get ourselves going.

I want to sit on the bench for the whole PK and in return play the whole PP.

I want to see us go all the way. Like you said there is a nice mix of it all, I think we will do it.

Some kind of cowboy in it with the horse.
 
5. What are your plans for this summer?
Going to wear hats and enjoy the weather.

Toyota. I want to be able to tell everybody that I am a professional athlete, I drive a Toyota.

1) Is your player slumping so far? What do you think is the reason for your performance?

Yes and no. I seem to be getting points quite nicely, but they come "all at once", multi-point games. I am not as consistent as I should be. And no, over a point per game for D is decent.

 

2) Do you think we have what it takes to still meet our expectations from the start of the season?

I think so. We are a playoff team, players improving steadily during the season and team improving steadily as well.

 

3) What is the reason for Saku Kotkakoivu not doing as well as last season?

Tough to say, maybe defense is "too low" in comparison to some of the leading scorers? And just bad luck, I remember seeing our PP was not so hot at one point.

 

1. What do you feel Calgary can do to get out of this slump?

Less penalties, keep it simple and get bodies to the net.

 

2. What player on the team do you feel has improved the most through this season?

Difficult to say, Calgary is quite even team. The differences might be so small, I cant think of any names.

 

3. If a new team was added to the VHL what would you want to name it?

"Quebec Dancing Warriors"

1. Saku can get his ass in gear and score like he did last season!

2. Asher Reinhart has actually been a huge player for us this season. Playing at over a PPG pace here compared to his last 2 seasons in Prague.

3. Montreal Smoked Meats

4. Skating. I always have high skating on my players. That or Puck Handling.

5. Ice cream! Blizzards from Dairy Queen or McFlurries.

6. Biking riding to different sunset spots.

4) What has surprised you the most about this season?

The standings look rather close. Moscow at first, but otherwise there is not a huge difference between solid chunk of teams.

 

5) Which VHL rookie do you think is currently the favourite to win the rookie trophy?

Teekirque in Davos, a D, plays a lot and is already leading the points scoring.

 

6) What team currently in a playoff spot do you think will lose it by the time the season is done?

Davos or Riga, I could say Calgary too, but I don't want to.

 

4. What is a attribute that you feel is under rated

Hitting, good hockey team has some physicality too.

Ice cold water.

1. I stopped celebrating birthdays a long time ago.

2. Maybe I could come to terms with Calgary cowboys.

3. I think it is important to get new members in. After all the vets stuck around for so long they seem to like the experience.

4. I am sure he would be a competent hooked. (In rugby take your mind out of the gutter, geez.)

5. Play it at your own time, seek for advice and make your decisions based on same.

6. I think so far the ASG is the pinnacle of Janser's career.

1. By making graphics and earning TPE! Just as I used to do 15 years ago.

2. Idk.. I like the wranglers name its a perfect fit.  If anything I would change the logo.

3. Both is needed, but recruitment def needs to be upped after the summer.

4. Basketball or Tennis.  Long reach ftw!

5. Don't be afraid to ask questions.  That's how you learn and our community is very helpful with many members enjoying giving guidance.

6. Winning the Continental cup! 15 years ago with the Havoc and Bears... and last year with the Nighthawks.  Also having Vestiquan retired is pretty great.

2. Calgary Cowboys. Calgary Saddlers. Calgary Stampeders, but that's a CFL team. Calgary Horses. Calgary People Who Like To Ride Horses and Work On Farmland. Yeah,  that last one works.

5. Just get in that TPE. Don't worry about missing out too much. It's your first player and everyone has a learning curve.

Calgary Cakelers. Some kind of delicious bakery related theme.

The game is too much for the TikTok generation. They are not going to write 500 words or do anything else, too much work. Depends on the recruitment channel, but I would say enhancing the experience of current users should be the main focus.
 

4. If your player played a different sport besides hockey what would it be?
Hockey is the only sport. Others are just hobbies.
 

5. Advice you would give to a new VHL member?
Ask for NTC.
 

6. What is your greatest VHL achievement?
I have never been banned for anything I have done in the forum of VHL.

1. We will make the post season, I have no doubt in my mind and from there I am confident we could even go the full nine yards.

2. Maybe Nico Pearce as he was in the same draft class as me and still beats me on the TPE every damn week (or so I feel)

3. Janser is being social at home, playing board games with the rookies in his home (or at least that is the official version)

4. I think it is pretty active with even Phil popping in when his time allows.

5. I was not aware of this. It looks like the league to accommodate recreates who want to fast-train into the VHL but what do I know?

6. I certainly do not wish to die tomorrow., but living forever seems dull as well. I plead the fifth on this one.

1. This season is the appetizer, next season will be the main course.

2. No, not at all. I'd have to know the name of another player in the VHL for that to happen.

3. Probably getting drunk, he is a hockey player after all.

5. No idea, my guy was in the VHLE this season, but is now at like 325 TPE so I guess that means he has to go up to the bigs next season?

1. I believe we have what it takes to win it all!

2. I don't think so. Maybe Matty Fire because he was drafted by Toronto instead of me.

3. Spending time with the family but also getting in some shooting practice.

4. I think our locker room is more active than most already. Possibly some kind of weekly online games. That fantasy football idea works too.

5. Faster rate to the VHL. I don't mind it. I think ultimately it's still up to the GM and player to decide which route to go. I could have moved up to the VHL right away but didn't. Won a championship in the VHLE instead.

6. Live forever. Dying tomorrow isn't an option. There's too many people I love.
