We will look at where each of the players are now as well as the amount of TPE in which that player has. Without further waiting, here is the article! Round 1 1. NEW YORK AMERICANS (from Toronto Legion): D - Ryan Sullivan Jr TPE Now: 422 Current Team: New York Americans Last Update: 2/10/19 Bust/Big Bust/Steal: Right on. I think that the Americans made the right and easy pick with this. He has been a consistent earner, exactly what the Americans were looking for from this pick. When you take the first pick, you want a consistent earner who is definitely reliable. 2. HC DAVOS DYNAMO : LW - Elias Dahlberg TPE Now: 411 Current Team: HC Davos Dynamo Last Update: 2/17/19 Bust/Big Bust/Steal: Right on. I think, yet again, Dahlberg was the easy pick for this selection. He is staying consistent with Sullivan as well with over 400 TPE. He is looking like a steal and a stud for the Dynamo. This is someone you are going to want to build around. 3. NEW YORK AMERICANS : C - Joel Ylonen TPE Now: 341 Current Team: New York Americans Last Update: 2/17/19 Bust/Big Bust/Steal: I really like Joel, but he has fell a little behind the guys below in terms of TPE. I think that he is not exactly a bust, but there are other guys that they could have taken. Personally, I like Gebauer and Svoboda, so I would definitely rather have either of those guys. I do like Joel, but I would prefer the other two. 4. CALGARY WRANGLERS (from Helsinki Titans): C - Mark Gebauer TPE Now: 354 Current Team: Calgary Wranglers Last Update: 2/10/19 Bust/Big Bust/Steal: Right on. Mark is someone that works hard, someone that Calgary will look back and be happy they made this selection. He is over 350 TPE which seems consistent where you want to be in the first round. 5. QUEBEC CITY MEUTE : RW - Pat Svoboda TPE Now: 393 Current Team: HC Davos Dynamo Last Update: 2/17/19 Bust/Big Bust/Steal: Steal. This guy is an absolute stud to be taken 5th. He could be right up there in the top 3, he definitely is there in terms of TPE. He is someone that updates every week. He is someone to build around. Davos got a gem with this guy, this is someone you will build around. 6. HC DAVOS DYNAMO (from Seattle Bears): RW - John Madden TPE Now: 328 Current Team: Halifax (DAV) Last Update: 2/17/19 Bust/Big Bust/Steal: Right on. I think you could have gone either of the next two guys. They are two guys that are similar in terms of value. They are about the same TPE, same update, I could see either of these next two picks being the right pick. Davos preferred this guy, I think he's a solid pick. 7. CALGARY WRANGLERS : RW - Diljodh TPE Now: 336 Current Team: Halifax (CGY) Last Update: 2/17/19 Bust/Big Bust/Steal: Right on. I pretty much listed what I thought above. 8. RIGA REIGN : LW - Kyson Blake TPE Now: 295 Current Team: Ottawa (RIG) Last Update: 2/3/19 Bust/Big Bust/Steal: BUST. I really think there were better options on the board than Blake. You had Jerwa, Philliefan, Garopp who were still on the board among some others. I think that Riga really made the wrong pick with this guy. Round 2 9. HC DAVOS DYNAMO : D - Piotr Jerwa TPE Now: 327 Current Team: HC Davos Dynamo Last Update: 2/17/19 Bust/Big Bust/Steal: STEAL. 10. Couldn't give Blake time on the team, so you pick someone with less TPA/TPE to replace someone who may move. Blake will come to Riga next season and be the 2C if Pajari goes unprotected and selected by Moscow. Everything considered, I think it was a smart pick, but that's just my thoughts. Blake is winger, not C. It's too early to tell who's the bust or steal. Need to revisit this in two seasons for a more clear picture. Also, Zabby is hardly is a bust, the same as Blake.
