S69 Team Captains Reveal

Yesterday in a private team meeting, the final roster for season 69 was announced. Only one final cut was made over the weekend which sent promising prospect Erik Summers back to Houston where he is expected to dominate from the blue line. Summers will play a huge part in the teams future and will be a member of the Titans in season 70 barring any unforeseen circumstances. Following the roster reveal, the team held a private vote for team captaincy. All members of the organization were invited to voice their opinions and cast their ballot for who will dawn a letter in season 69.

We are proud to announce the captains of your season 69 Helsinki Titans;

C - Julian Borwinn @Jubo07

Borwinn returns as team captain. Julian has spent his entire professional career with the Titans amassing 517 points in 432 games. He has earned several awards in that time including rookie of the year, most improved, VHL points leader, most valuable player, most outstanding player and a S66 Continental Cup.

A - Alexander Pepper @Sonnet

Pepper also retains his letter and will once again serve as assistant captain. Like Borwinn, Pepper has played his entire professional career with Helsinki and has a strong opportunity of taking the franchise wins record before its all said and done. Alexander has 233 wins in his six seasons with the Titans, not including another 28 playoff wins. Pepper won top VHLM goalie in S62 before adding three awards in S66 (top goalie, playoff MVP and the Continental Cup).

A -Kronos Bailey @Quik

Bailey is entering his 6th season as a Titan. He has produced some fantastic numbers as he graduated to top line center with 371 points in 360 games. Trending similarity between our captains; Kronos was also a member of the S66 Continental Cup team and won the award for most assists in the VHL for season 68.

Our team captains combine for 1,191 games of VHL experience.

Season 69 is sure to be an exciting campaign for Helsinki. With a new GM in town and some new faces to cheer for on the ice; the Titans begin their transition towards the future while retaining the skill level to win on any given night and make another push for the Continental Cup. The leadership squad above will play a crucial part in the teams success this season.

Go Titans Go!
