Jayrad28 396 Posted January 12, 2020 Share Posted January 12, 2020 (edited) With Season 70 drawing closer, teams have begun their final roster tweaks before tonight’s draft, and the Prague Phantoms are among that group. Adding veterans like Roll Fizzlebeef, Brick Wahl, Edward Vigneault and Matthew Materazo, they look to be much stronger this upcoming season. They have also named their leadership group for next season, which surprisingly features mostly young players. When a team vote was taken, Young goaltender and fan favourite Solomon Crawford was named honorary captain. He is expected to become the starter once wahl retires in a few seasons. Even though Crawford was voted in, he can’t technically be the team’s captain due to the league rules, so they had to name the person with the second most votes captain, that honour fell to star centre Alex Pearson. After 2 seasons in the league, Pearson has shown flashes of brilliance, and has had very low points where he went streaks without points. But regardless he’s always given 110% and been a fantastic teammate. The first alternate Is Pearson’s close friend Seabass Perrin. Perrin has looked like a draft steal, and helped solidify the top pairing with puck mover WSJ. He is another fan favourite as fans love the edge he plays with. The final A will fall to vet Don Draper. Draper has proven to be a reliable top 6 forward, and even after a down year last season, he will look to continue to play a smart offensive game for the phantoms. The Phantoms could very well be an absolutely deadly team in the weakening European conference, as I’m sure the new look team is anxious to show Prague what they can do.
