  1. 2. Not the greatest, hoping with the VHLM graduation bonus he'll score some more goals! 4. Probably what I'm doing now, building digital brands, or running a company in digital rights management. 5. I think Sakamoto will be sneaky MVP with an insane amount of shot blocks and hits. 6. I'd have to say Jolly Ranchers. Simply because they are a flavor explosion, and end up lasting a long time. 7. Give me unlimited money and I'll still buy a Porsche 911 GT3, no question. 8. @Arce I'd hold your hand so you wouldn't fall
  2. VHFL in shambles
  3. It was a hard-fought pre-season for Tomas Sogaard, struggling to make as much of an impact as he had hoped, with 3 goals and 2 assists in 8 games. We caught up with Tomas after the Istanbul Red Wolves accomplished a shootout 3-2 win over the Rome Gladiators to finish their preseason out with a record of 3-5. This is what he had to say when we asked him what he thought of his recent performance, and his vision ahead. "It was really nice to see the win today, everyone battled hard and deserved the shootout win. Overall for me, it wasn't a pre-season with as much success as I had hoped. I'm just starting to find my legs out there after a long off-season, and the chemistry with the team is starting to really gel. I think we have a great group of people on Istanbul, and there are good things to come for us. I know I'll be working my hardest to be putting in the work behind the scenes to better my chances like hitting the weight room, and watching film. It's a long season ahead, and I'm excited to get started."

  13. It's been an exciting off-season for Tomas Sogaard, who was drafted by the Moscow Menace at 15th overall of the S83 VHL draft, and by the Istanbul Red Wolves at the 8th overall spot of the S83 VHLE draft. We sat down with Brandon Best, Tomas Sogaard's player agent, and former VHL player from S5 - S12. This is what he had to say: "The conversations that I was having were with General Managers of teams in the 7th to 11th range of the draft. So to see Sogaard slide past was a bit of a surprise. But everyone knows that once the draft clock starts, anything is up for game. You know, it's funny how things play out. I was drafted at the exact same position in the Season 5 VHL draft, so to have Tomas picked at 15 feels like it fits really well. Once the dust settled, everything just felt like it played out the exact way it was supposed to. I know Tomas is ecstatic to be apart of both the Istanbul and Moscow lockerrooms in the coming seasons, and it will be nice that the flight is so close. Tomas is looking forward to using that to catch some Moscow home games in person this season."
  14. Damn, I'm really sorry that you are going through this @Minion That's an extremely scary situation to be in, and I hope everything sorts itself out in the best way possible. Also, everything that I write below is my opinion, I'm in no way a professional. Right now, immediately, what you can do is be there for her, provide her with a safe place to talk about things (no matter how serious) and show understanding and trust. Be honest about how you feel as well, but caring in how you phrase things as she is in a fragile emotional state. It's difficult because she should obviously cut ties with him, but it can be really hard in some cases to convince someone like your sister when they are in it. The most important thing is showing compassion. Truthfully, your sister isn't making smart decisions, what he has said / is saying is both scary and dangerous and he doesn't sound safe, or stable. I'm guessing she is young (teenager) because at that age, someone is figuring out how healthy relationships are formed. For some young people any attention that they get from a friend, no matter it being positive or negative, feels like good attention because there isn't an alternative person that gives them that same attention right now. I would say along with that, the best thing you can do would be to have your parents get her to a doctor to find her a licensed psychologist / therapist to go to. With regards to financials, therapists can be expensive, but I believe if you go to the doctor they can find something that can work. There are also sliding scale therapists out there, which have reduced costs dependent on income levels. A licensed professional will be able to talk with her and find out what is truly going on, because this is an unhealthy attachment. School counsellors are also a good resource for young kids to use. Best of luck, I hope everything turns out alright.
  15. 1. Great! Exciting one with the VHLE / VHL draft. Got in a 4 week claimable podcast which is nice over the off-season as well! 2. We win the championship, and have a high producing team! 3. Ecstatic, hyped to be apart of an E squad with so many active members. 4. Ideally either #10 or #9. 5. Moritz Seider! He's an absolute phenom. 8. Cherry ice cream, but more specifically, Amarena Gelato. Had it in Italy years ago and now the bar of ice cream flavours moved and I'm not sure if it changed my life for the better or worse. 9. Moscow Menace! Super excited to go to a competitive team with many assets, and a fun lockerroom!

  17. Looks like I got myself a new sig
  18. Holy smokes I don't know how, but @MubbleFubbles & @JardyB10, you both guessed right. It was @Velevra & @Squinty Also, nice to know that you thought of that in advance, Jardy. I think dropping it to 25 or 30 will be good. It will be interesting how it plays out, I'm sure there may be a bit of tinkering to be done
  19. it would be a shame if Dom didn't rock this magnificent signature

  22. Funny enough, it's been something for me that I've picked up and put down over the years a number of times. My first experience was actually in FL studio probably back in 2009. FL is what most people who make hip-hop use. I found the channel rack drums on FL to be a godsend for first starting drums, and allows for someone to build drums way quicker. Also, the piano roll on FL was pretty easy to work with. I started picking up Ableton in 2012 for no reason other than most electronic music producers were using Ableton (and sometimes Logic / Reason). After understanding it more, I find Ableton to be extremely well rounded for my needs and has an excellent workflow. I personally love it, and although I can use other DAWs like FL or Logic, I always work myself on Ableton. Recording live on Ableton is a lot easier than FL (although worse than Logic), and I guess over time I've really got accustomed to the Ableton stock effects. I know where everything is (relatively), and how to operate them at a basic level. At the beginning, depending on how you look at it, it can be overwhelming. But for myself, I enjoyed the creative aspect (no matter how bad I was), and I thoroughly enjoy the process of seeing myself slowly improve in something. If you do pick up Ableton (lots of ways to get it), I would recommend watching a number of YouTube videos on tutorials, people making their own songs in Ableton, or people re-creating existing songs. There are also a few insanely good producers (depending on the niche you like) that do educational streams on Twitch that I can point you to if you ever wanted. But yeah, there is no best DAW. The best DAW is one that allows you to get the idea in your head as fast as possible down into your computer without losing it. I find that to be Ableton for myself. If you ever have any questions just shoot me a message, don't mind helping in any way that I can!
  23. No basement required! Would love to have you on and chat, would be cool to connect in a few weeks after the season has started about our experience together in Mexico, our thoughts on the off-season, and first few games in the VHLE
  24. Love the overall vibe of this signature. Coloring is on point, as well as the overall contrast, brightness, and sizing. I like how you pulled in the focal point with the darkened sides. The graininess of the background gives it an authentic yet nostalgic feel to it as well, which is quite interesting. I like the text choice as well, although I'm curious to see what the top 'Leandro' section would be if it was 1/2 the size, and potentially with a clipping mask on it. At the same time, although it may be visualized cool in my head, on paper doing that may make the first part of his name look a little too busy. Overall, sick job on tihs one. I'm a big fan. 9.5/10
