  1. Tomas Søgaard Left Wing | Copenhagen, Denmark | 6’1” | 195 lbs Pros: Shooting: Tomas Søgaard poses a lethal wrist shot, considered one of the best in his draft class for his raw goal-scoring abilities. Tomas has a unique release, one that is both extremely quick and unpredictable. Scouts seem to be most impressed with his effortless form, drawing comparison in his shooting style to former Seattle / Helsinki / Malmo superstar forward Matt Thompson. Tomas Søgaard likes to play the left half wall in the offensive zone, often trying to find space and the right opportunity to find the puck at his well-known spot. Known for catching the goalies off with his frequent creative tricks and short-side shots, Tomas really plays by the rule of shoot first think later. Skating: Tomas Søgaard’s exceptional lateral edgework is what makes him so lethal on the left-half way. The ability to weave in and out of defenders, often catching the defender flatfooted, rocketing past the outside and aiming high shortside. Alongside his edgework, Tomas Søgaard’s explosive acceleration is another strength. His 6’1” frame and long, powerful strides allow Tomas to create distance between himself and those around him. Often breaking out at the blue line in the defensive zone, giving the opportunity for a breakaway. Puck Handling: When not shooting, Tomas Søgaard is probably trying to stickhandle his way into space, trying to set himself up for a scoring opportunity. What makes Tomas’ puckhandling so strong is his ability to keep the puck on a string while in the offensive zone, allowing for the ability to create chances out of nothing. This creative talent makes him a wonder to watch when he is on the ice. Cons: Discipline: Passionate about the game of hockey, and uneven in his emotions, the young Danish native has much to learn when it comes to discipline. Frequently he will be seen taking foolish penalties, both out of retaliation, and lack of effort in back-checking. This can often put his team in a man-down situation and makes it difficult for his team to claw back in close games where they are losing. Consistency: A serious con of Tomas Søgaard’s game is his lack of consistency. In his most excellent moments, he will look like a superstar who controls the tempo of the game on his stick, and is able to make turn the tide in a game in the blink of an eye. Comparatively, other times, he will look lost when facing a stronger calibre team, and when his team is not in possession of the puck for a long duration of time. Scouts may take their time to see how consistent Søgaard really is. Passing: The shoot-first-think-later mentality does not bode well for his passing. Growing up in the Danish youth system, and not surrounded by the most talented of players, Tomas often had to take matters into his own hands and will his team to win. His goal-scoring ability is what got him to this point, however now he has no choice but to utilize his teammates more, as he’s coming in as the youngest player on the roster, surrounded by other respectively talented stars.
  2. Tomas Søgaard Left Wing | Copenhagen, Denmark | 6’1” | 195 lbs The year is ‘S68’, you leave Copenhagen’s city center and take a 15-minute drive north-west to the city line limits. As long as it’s daylight and the local pond is frozen, you will be hard-pressed not to find Tomas Sogaard, age 4, skating laps upon laps with his oversized hockey stick and puck. From a young age, Tomas’ was captivated by the VHL, and while the majority of his friends and colleagues took a better liking to soccer, Tomas was hooked to the game of hockey. Often running around the room with a mini-stick, you will catch young Tomas trying to imitate the goals of the semi-local VHL team Malmo Nighthawks’ leading scorer Matt Thompson. Growing up in the Danish hockey system, Tomas Søgaard always stood out as a talented player, an extremely high IQ player with speed and puck-handling skills, but one who lacked the size and weight to be taken seriously by out of town junior scouts. That was until his 16th birthday when Tomas went from being one of the smaller players on the team to one of the tallest. Instantly, there was a change in pace to his game, almost as if his feet could finally catch up to the pace that he was thinking the game at. It was at this time that scouts from Frölunda’s junior team decided to make a move on the young Copenhagen-native. In Frölunda U20, and under the guidance of Fredrik Rönnberg, is where Tomas would truly flourish and find his game. After coming off a slow start with 0 points in 8 games, Søgaard became red hot and would finish the season with a goal-per-game pace, ultimately forcing coach Rönnberg to put the 16-year-old on the power play. 25 games, 17 goals, and 10 assists later, Tomas Søgaard was the front-runner for rookie of the year. Not bad for a player local Frölunda HC fans wouldn’t know the name of only six months prior. Watching his rookie season highlights, it was very obvious who Tomas Søgaard modeled his game after. Søgaard was a shoot first, think later type of player. Tomas’ strengths lay in his speed, agility, ability to find open ice, and his ultimately lethal shot. However, this style of play can be to his detriment, and while he possesses the talent to succeed at a high level, Tomas will need to find a better balance in utilizing his linemates. Often the trouble for young talents who come from less-developed hockey cities. A far superior talent player will often try to do it all himself, and that can only get you so far. After Frölunda’s season ended, Tomas expected to pack his bags and head home, probably play a little bit too much VHL S82 on his PlayStation in the off-season. Little did he know that, only a mere week later, the Mexico City Kings from the VHLM would call his phone, offering him a spot on the starting roster, to take a crack at the VHLM S82 cup. It was only fitting that the young Dane would pack his bags once again, off to chase his dream of a VHL Continental Championship. One that he has been dreaming of since he was a child, fully suited in Malmo Nighthawks gear, cheering on his favorite player, Matt Thompson. There are many hurdles ahead for Tomas Søgaard, but there’s one thing for sure, Tomas has shown that he is not one to back down from a challenge.
  3. It would be nice (although not necessary) to have the player store income claims appear in pending updates as well. Currently, when claiming income, it doesn't give any feedback on the review status. For a second I almost re-submitted it thinking that it either didn't go through, or I forgot to click submit
  4. 1. I've been enjoying the scenery of Mexico City compared Copenhagen. The food is exceptional, I'm just wondering why I can't find ice cubes in the supermarket's here for my daily Danish ice bath? 2. Things seem to be similar to how they were before. Just have to make sure I don't miss any uncapped TPE events 3. 12 capped TPE is the maximum per week, its different from uncapped points such as practice facilities and other special uncapped events to make sure TPE's stay consistent 4. Any slopestyle / big air snowboarding event (shoutout my friend Freddy's little brother Red Gerard who's competing for USA) 5. Probably will follow my old path, but might alter slightly. SC > SK > PA > PH = DEF > ST 6. Yes, and I smell chicken 7. Same --> 8. LA Rams 24 - 20 Bengals
  5. It's a day the young Tomas Søgaard won't forget for the foreseeable future. After putting pen to paper with the Mexico City Kings, Tomas Søgaard's road to professional hockey has begun. The young Left Wing out of Copenhagen, Denmark has shown sparks of generational talent with a few of his highlight reel goals going viral on the social media platform, YouTube. However, his lack of consistency seems to be the biggest hamper that has been hanging over his head. The Mexico City Kings General Manager, Vice, hope's to bring Tomas' potential to fruition by guiding him in the proper direction with their veteran leadership and strong locker-room presence. Vice had some words to say at the local presser. "We know raw talent when we see it, and we're extremely excited to have Tomas join our team as we try to make our run for the VHLM playoffs. Tomas has the offensive tools to come in and make an impact, however we don't want to make sure he is comfortable during the learning process. We hope he comes here, works hard, and enjoys himself. Our staff and leadership are prepared to help and guide him through his beginning steps into professional hockey. but first thing's first, we're stuffing this kid with enchiladas right when he comes off the plane, he needs to add some muscle."
  6. Damn, this is a banger. Jersey swap is on point, and I must say that working with this color palette is extremely challenging from a design perspective. Love the combination of the main player with the angled shot behind it. The blur that you put on the background photo was necessary and perfect, as it keeps the focal point on the main player. Background is flawless and blends extremely well with the overall signature. Text choice is also perfect, nice choice of the red / white stroke to make it pop while also keeping to the design style. My only partial recommendation is the right side of the mask feels very high contrast so I might tone that down a bit, although it does go with the style and doesn't take away anything from the overall signature. Overall: 10 / 10
  7. Holy smokes it's been ages. Happy to see familiar faces like yourself still kicking it around these parts of town, hope you've been well! Isn't it suitable that my first review is for an OG member like yourself. Love the feeling the signature gives me. The effects that you chose, and it's simplicity gives me a calm before the storm aura / feeling. I'm already picturing Vancouver Wolves vs Moscow Menace, leading game 6 by the score 7-6, 3 minutes left on the clock, lining up for the faceoff and this picture is taken. The photo selection and main logo swap are flawless, don't think it could have been better. Also, I don't know if it was the original photo, or you did an additional blur, but the difference in sharpness really makes the players pop. my only recommendation is to swap the pants logo or even better simply remove it as for some reason it feels like the pants logo pulls my eyes downwards and away from the main focal points. Overall: 9.5 / 10
  8. Thanks for the warm welcome! It's a very difficult decision picking, there are some strong teams and very competitive rosters, looking like an exciting VHLM season ahead. I've decided to take my talents to the... Mexico City Kings! #HAILTOTHEKING @Vice @youloser1337

  12. Rip in pepperonis. Thanks for all of the hard work Victor
  13. My sister cracked her screen because there was too much weight pressing against it. If it was in her backpack, books were against it. 4 options imo. 1. If you only use your laptop for home usage you can get a cheap monitor and plug it into the laptop. 2. I'm fairly certain you can actually buy computer screens second hand and you can manually replace it as long as it is the same model. 3. Take it to a repair shop and have them fix it for probably around $50 i'm guessing. 4. Cut losses and buy a new fairly cheaper laptop around ~$400. If you wait and keep looking you can grab ones on really good sales. Black Friday OP.
  14. I'm still lingering. Probably won't remake atm. School is so off and on. I check on here whenever I can
  15. Better than my proposal, I like it
  16. yes it's you... welcome back, lol.
  17. Anderson is that really you? <3
  18. Glad everyone has got this working
  19. This kesler guy is funny, I like him.
  20. You both downloaded VLC-32bit and for some reason your computer is making VLC crash. Both of you need to download 64-bit. Go here and download the "vlc-2.1.0-win64.exe" file. http://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/vlc/last/win64/ Edit: Again, you must uninstall the current version that you have before you download this. If this doesn't work tell me, i'll try to figure it out
  21. same here! If you guys are wondering the quality, here is what i'm looking at atm. Also it is a wonderful thing to have either 2 monitors, or an extra laptop, I am watching the game on my right monitor while browsing the internet on my left monitor.
  22. Do a complete uninstall of VLC through your control panel, then restart your computer and install VLC 2.10 again. You might have either gotten a bad install, or if you updated it from a previous version, you could be interfering with it.
  23. If there is a massive power outage making the game blacked out everywhere then you can't access it because it isn't being broadcasted to anything. As long as NHL is getting the feed, you will too, as this is basically gamecenter. I haven't watched every single game this season, but I have yet to see a blackout out of probably 40+ games. I live in Vancouver and it is nice to be able to watch not only Canucks games, but games that would not be broadcasted to me like Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh, Washington, etc. Summary: If it is being broadcasted to anywhere in the nation, you will get it too.
  24. that is so sick. I like it a lot.
