To be honest I wouldn't leave this to a GM's discretion entirely - more finding a willing GM to relocate, much like boubabi and Vasteras. And I'm not necessarily suggesting we overhaul based on location, more 'is the franchise actually struggling and still living off success from the first 10 seasons?'.

Calgary and Seattle in particular are approaching Vasteras levels of lack of success tbh. They have like two highlights each since S30. And technically Calgary's already been contracted but y'all pulled your punches.

It's not unheard of tbh, happens in the KHL with "financial difficulties" and the like. Slightly different but the Jets in the NHL (which is why its time to move Calgary/Seattle to Cologne!). I think its more a lack of great alternatives in my head. I like Prague and maybe Moscow (if there's a good name), apart from that it gets quite exotic.

I actually have a list saved somewhere for a future MS. I think anything other than 2 European teams would be a travesty. Unless of course by then we get an existing NA franchise to move to EU, but that's a tough sell.

Berlin would have been my suggestion too but I actually think Cologne was shafted so nah fuck you.

Belated response to this - it probably actually helps his case because the sim loves to make the best players the most targeted in terms of hits (especially if they're not huge hitters themselves). Although completely fine to leave out - hits taken is a silly stat.

Saw it as I was compiling the GM stuff and found it quite interesting that both teams kind of won it (especially with Quebec quickly swapping Finn for Locke). They then met in back to back finals, and accounted for at least one finalist for most of the next 8 seasons. True masterminds at work - @Frank and @Higgins. Great run as GM again, as I think I've come to realise very much as part of my recent research. Interesting to see Quik back in it, very strong performance back in the day.

This playoff race is too much. Or race against the playoffs I can't really tell.
