  1. Not liking Stockholm's OT luck.
  2. Come on now, some originality is needed.
  3. Whoever wins we'll have to score a lot of goals against cuz I'm not outplaying those two.
  4. In other Dorne plotholes, how long does it take to sail from there to King's Landing. Cuz I'm thinking Cersei's speech would be off the mark in a world where bodies actually decay. Also find it difficult to believe Tyrion could wander around without being recognised. Otherwise it was pretty swell but I still don't have much faith in the show's writers left on their own.
  5. Roberts' stock falling just low enough for Cologne to pick him up at 10th.

  7. ANSWERS! PART A! 1. Which VHL franchise(s) has/have the longest playoff streak (consecutive times making the playoffs) and with how many seasons? (Credit to Phil) A. The New York Americans set the record from S24 to S34 with 11 seasons, including 7 finals but only one Continental Cup. 2. Who scored the cup winning goal for Davos in their last cup final? (Credit to boubabi) A. To his surprise, Shane Baker in overtime of Game 6 in S38. So long ago for the VHL's most successful franchise that I realised they've won nothing since turned to hmmm 3. Who is the only general manager to win both the David Knight Trophy and the Jack Reilly Trophy multiple times? (Credit to Streetlight) A. Jason Glasser was top VHLM GM with Ottawa twice in S21 and S23 and took his experience to Calgary in his record-breaking reign, both in terms of tenure (S26-S41) and three top GM trophies (S28, S30, S34). 4. How many times has the Scott Boulet Trophy been co-won? (Credit to Jala) A. Just twice, in S15 and S19, which is quite suprising. PART B! Which VHL franchise(s) has/have the most Victory Cups? A. Some people confused Victory Cups for Continental Cups (i.e. regular season trophies for playoff ones). And yes, it's odd that the Victory Hockey League isn't held to find the winner of the Victory Cup. Anyway, that didn't actually impede people getting the point, since Davos lead in both cups (that is, until Toronto tied them in Victory Cups this season. Still quite a way off in Continentals). What did let some answers down is not counting S7 Avangard Havoc as one of Davos' win. IT'S A TRAP (unintentional, as usual, I don't check these in advance). 10. It's typical Spurs luck to be fair. Of all the seasons to choose to be good. Next season could be magnificent. How will Leicester cope with the Champions League? How will the Champions League cope with Leicester? How will City/United/Chelsea respond? Will Liverpool come good? And how many points will Sunderland win the league by?
  11. HYPE IS SO REAL
  12. looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool Tottenham ONE MORE WIN. Move aside Man United.
  13. What happened to making character deaths mean something? Dorne is such a fucking train wreck. I'm fearful for the Iron Islanders' story arc now.

  20. My deserter brother appears to have lucked out this season and will win the Shaw based on slightly superior save percentage. And while this is probably worse for Hans Wingate and his TPE plus maxed out build, as he looks set to miss out on the goaltending trophy for a second straight season, it means Greg Clegane will not have spent half his career being just not quite the best. Season 45 My rookie season was much better than I expected. Victory Cup, .916 save percentage, a Continental Cup in Helsinki's first season back in the playoffs, and then a Stolzschweiger Trophy as top rookie. But it could have been even better as the save percentage only fell a bit late in the season allowing veteran Niklaus Mikaelson to finally get his Shaw. Season 46 Another championship and a move up to .917 as well as becoming the league leader in GAA. However, while Mikaelson retired, Wingate reclaimed his crown deservedly in a solid season split between Calgary and Riga. Season 47 A bit more progress to .922 save percentage but for a third season goalie this made me write a mag article about the weakness of goaltending. Wingate fell off the face of the earth but Clegane couldn't capitalise, falling behind Blake Campbell and Ariel Weinstein in most statistics that matter. And now here we are in Season 48. It looked like Wingate would run away with the Shaw at one point but as his save % fell and the Cleganes' rose it looks like a tight vote is in order. At least the save percentages of .928 and .933 are more up to par with greats of the past. And perhaps given the continued growth Greg Clegane will get a Shaw one day.
