  1. Better not be draft pick rule circumvention cuz then this shit void.
  2. Could say get Draped, amirite? Also yeah duh, look at me. More importantly, I always thought (though I probably never said) that 701 should retroactively lose the equivalent of a position change purchase from his Player Store money. So he can't use whatever he earns through contract until he pays that back.
  3. Should have traded for the VHL's 11th overall instead.
  4. Sexy looking draft thread. Four rounds, I forgot what that looks like.
  5. vhlm too scared of me
  6. nah
  7. Waiver pick-ups during S48 going into S49 VHLM draft. So there are players drafted in both leagues in the same off-season.
  8. lol did I completely forgot to copy paste my prepared post into here? whoooooops Anyway, here are answers for the Cup final edition, final results and TPE payout. And 'grats Toronto. Which original VHL franchise have the Legion never played against in the playoffs? ANSWER: In addition to not playing Cologne to date, Toronto also never met Vasteras/Madrid/Stockholm in the 5 times made it to the finals. Most of Toronto's finals have involved Riga and Davos. How many Continental Cups did the Titans win before their first Victory Cup? ANSWER: Helsinki famously was the last original franchise to win a Victory Cup, taking 33 seasons to finally lead the league during the regular season. Ironically, despite a really good S33, the Titans didn't even make the finals. They had won the cup 4 times when they weren't even favourites at the start, in S6, S15, S22, and S27. Since S33, Helsinki has won 3 Continental Cups and 3 Victory Cups (S34, S45, S46), now all in the same season. Question for both and Helsinki and Toronto have only met once before in the playoffs. What was the only award that season's playoff MVP had won before joining Helsinki? ANSWER: Helsinki beat Toronto in S22 in a huge underdog victory - the Legion were defending champions and finished the season with 126 points - the Titans were tied for second place with just 99. Yet it didn't even take 7 games for the Titans to win the cup - the power of Jason Eugene Terry (JET) channelled by Cam Fowler, led them to an improbable victory. That was Fowler's first season in Helsinki after a move from Seattle, where he had less playoff success but did win the Scott Boulet Trophy in S21. 1 capped TPE goes to: Beketov boom CowboyinAmerica der meister DollarAndADream fever95 Green Higgins Jala Kendrick Phil solas sterling Streetlight Velevra Uncapped TPE payout for Season 48! 5 TPE fever95 - 12 Phil - 12 Beketov - 11 CowboyinAmerica - 11 me 4 TPE Green - 10 DollarAndADream - 10 solas - 10 Streetlight - 10 3 TPE sterling - 8 Velevra - 8 gorlab - 7 Kendrick - 7 2 TPE StevenStamkos91 - 6 hedgehog337 - 6 Jala - 6 JardyB10 - 6 evrydayimbyfuglien - 5 Smarch - 5 1 TPE 701 - 2 ADwyer87 - 2 boom - 2 Bojo - 2 der meister - 2 Higgins - 2 Mike - 2 Molholt - 2 STZ - 2 Tsbagsuph - 2 brovy - 1 bukss_a - 1 Eggy216 - 1 Dangles13 - 1

  17. One word: Threepeat.
  18. I love when other people do the scouting for me.
  19. It was a pleasure sharing the Helsinki locker room with you, shame it was only for a season. Decent first-gen, hope you have more success second time around.
  20. I'd say based on their 2014 run that neutrals, including myself, would probably get behind Liverpool more than any other "big" team. I mean, it wasn't as unanimous as the bandwagon support for Leicester obviously but nonetheless I don't think anywhere near as many people would have wanted United, Arsenal, or Spurs to win in that situation and obviously City and Chelsea were up against Liverpool that season and unsurprisingly were not the neutrals' favourites. I mean, as was the case with Gerrard's slip, many still revert to laughing at Liverpool's ineptitude but that's probably their appeal - I imagine in the 80s and even 90s most people wanted them to lose and maybe United were the plucky "underdogs". Obviously speculating as I wasn't alive. So in actual fact an excellent parallel with Stockholm seeing the Vikings' support in S47.
  21. Yeah looks like a tough call for sure.
