As you can probably figure out, I'm not convinced. There are some less radical ideas which are being floated about, some of which I support. I'm quite optimistic there will be some solid improvements by S50.

If we're going to go out of our way to market the league in S60, what added benefits does a restart entail? Hey guys, come join this uhhh new hockey sim league! It's a really fresh concept! We've made wholesale changes which mean so much to non sim-leaguers - we've switched from STHS v1 to v2! We were around for 60 seasons..... and now we're not really. We kind of decided to chase the vague promise that starting again in S61 will bring back S1 activity despite the fact that there's another hockey sim league these days. It was pretty vain to be honest but oh well. (this is a general criticism of Team Restart not this particular MS)

To be fair they forgot about Greatjon after season 1. He was top adviser man then before they went nah, actually Robb spends most of his time talking to Roose. I'm not sure he was even shown at the red wedding. I am not too pleased with the north storyline but I suppose they've made too many changes from Davos staying at Castle Black, the total lack of Manderlys, Stannis' accelerated demise (if that even happens), to Sansa at Winterfell. And Brienne in the north. I'm glad they've at least expanded it to include other families since S4 and S5 was basically just Boltons left here. I'm trying to remember if Qyburn ever referred to zombie mountain as Robert Strong in S5E10. I assume not since that would be a terrible continuity error within the show but there's been bad ones anyway. In any case, I don't know why they wouldn't incorporate that. It's not like the casual audience would have remembered his name, he's just the Mountain. What does it matter what the huge bloke is called? Eh whatever. RIP Ser Alliser the cunt. That said I won't miss him spending all his screen time saying Jon let wildlings through the Wall. Shame Janos got the honourable death of beheading but Alliser hanged though. In the end, Jon's random turn is what many expected but they did a really shitty job explaining it. As in, not at all. Hoping for more clarity soon. Also, WHERE THE FUCK IS BAELISH

Thank you eaglesfan for wasting an hour of my life between Daniel announcing me as new Yukon GM and you announcing me as new Yukon GM. It was worth it. Yukon has for a long time not been 2 gud and might never be again. But we will definitely Make Yukon Great Again. I won't do it in conventional style though. It's taken me 38 seasons to become VHLM GM properly (I think I made a few FA signings for Ottawa back in the affiliate era) so might as well do things a bit differently. One of the key reasons I want to be present at the draft is because I don't want Yukon's picks to be BPA. No, instead I want to personally put into action my ambition for the VHLM: Make a VHLM contender without a single recreate. I will ignore TPE count and not draft re-creates, sign re-creates, trade for re-creates, or make waiver claims for re-creates. From now on, the Yukon Rush will be home to no one but first-gen players. People always say that ideally the VHLM isn't about winning but about developing and promoting activity.
