What I don't understand is why these early trades don't involve equivalent picks. That's a much better guarantee to get the team with the advantage to hold up their side of the bargain. "K, here's S49 2nd, I'll take your S51 2nd and trade it back in part 2 along whatever else we agreed to." and less questions asked since it's not obviously a multi-part trade.
