As for draper saying the league needs for gambling options, a NHL fantasy would be great. It would required a game of the week and the participants would choose 2 things : the 1st scorer for one of the team and the final result. As for exemple, if the game of the week would be Toronto at Montreal, participants would say 1st scorer for Montreal (as who will score the 1st goal) : Max Pacioretty Final score : 8-0 MTL. Would work the same as the current fantasy tpe reward. Good idea m8

Looking good, I would like to have the psd someday and work on it with you, so you could learn or get some live feedback from me, if that would help. Anyway, you have most piece in it. A background, a render, some effects and a text. What I would add tho, to be more conventional, is a basic lighting. Since the render is looking at the left, the flow is going to the left so I would put a basic soft brush on the top right of his head and work around it. The picture seems low quality too so I could help you find better pictures (by better, I mean higher resolution). But good looking sig.

As I told you in the gfx section (I think), I would have changed the color of either the render of the efx. I don't think green and orange match well together. Font and the render placement is great, so nothing to say here. The canvas size is interesting too, I like it. Good job on it.

The font is looking good.I know you like blurring, but I think there,s too much blur. Practically everything minus his face is blurred. Blur should help for the focal point and great depth, but since there's nothing in the BG to make us feel the depth, I don't think the heavy blur fits. Coloring and the lighting are on point.

Good choice of font. I like your start, you have obviously good techniques. I feel like the canvas could be smaller but if it fits your design and it helped your inspiration, good for it. I still think you could add more in front of the goaltender to create some depth but I think it's a decent start, so good job.
