I actually pitched the Chicago Swarm (and ode to the MOB life of Chicago) but with a Wasp logo. It was turned down in favour of a failed VHLM team ran by Robbie that was a dark period in the VHLM's history. Too bad I wasn't given the keys to that vehicle.

1. I am so stoked to be headed to play in this tourney. I will suit up for Team World 2. Se7en is one of my favourites because the plot is so damn good 3. Favourite book is probably Killing Yourself to Live by Chuck Klosterman 4. Well I've been around since the start so I feel old but experienced. 5. Close to 70 seasons ago there was a plan in action and it was a plan put in motion by several members of the VHL executives. That plan was to expand and that plan wasn't one they were considering very quickly as the league had just opened up. When opening a league you do need to think of what happens if your member base reaches a bigger number and we need to expand. Who becomes the General Manager(s) and how to do we reward these franchises draft picks in the next entry draft. Not only that but you have to think about branding and other things that create a lasting impression on your new recruits. Recruiting has come a long way since then and the VHL has not only expanded it's professional league but also has an ever expanding VHLM league. Many cities have not got a close enough look and in the coming weeks I will address the cities that may feel slighted by the VHL brass as they have never truly had an opportunity to shine on their own stage in this atmosphere. I have felt that the VHL needs to expand to markets not currently tapped into by both the SHL and NHL executives. The VHL continues to try and spruce themselves up and they have done a bang up job.

Lewis Dawson was off to an amazing pace in the young season. Things have taken a bit of a slower turn now though. Dawson currently has 47 points and although that is 17 more than his career high, his pace has slowed down. There were two parts of the season where Dawson lead the league in points at different time. Lewis' teammate Ola Vikingstad has been on a pace to shatter some records but also has been slowing down a tad. Vikingstad seems to be the leader of the bunch as he has already gone over the 60 point plateau and we're only 25 games in. Dawson is looking to break the 100 point plateau this year but its looking grimmer by the day. His teams success matters more though so if Lewis isn't able to hit the 100 point plateau, he won't lose sleep. After all he is already drafted by Malmo so it's not like he has to show scouts his ability to perform just yet. That being said he will want to show the Malmo brass that he has what it takes to compete at the VHL level.

1. Probably like 15 is the ceiling for the amount of losses we'll have. 2. I care a little bit because its one of the most dedicated fanbases and the fans are usually quite respectful. 3. Our depth scoring and ability to play defense. We can take over games with our speed. 4. I feel any trade we make to improve our roster is a trade I'm fully on board with. 5. I am hyped! I hope Im able to compete at a high level and become a huge piece for my team. 6. Ola Vikingstad of course. That viking blood would help me big time
