What the fuck Kendrick? This title is about all sim leagues and not the ol' mighty VHL in particular. This article is more about all simulation leagues in this little nerdy network that we are in. VHL is supreme and always has been the number one simulation league for many reasons. We can't deny there are leagues out there that peak our interests. I'm talking leagues like the SHL and that baseball one that people seem to be pretty stoked on. SHL has ran right beside the VHL (albeit a few seasons or so behind it) so it's obviously the next biggest that we can think of. The baseball league which I'm simply forgetting at this stage is pretty exciting for all those diamond players. I myself am into baseball so that league did interest me for awhile (I left because it wasn't really ran all that smoothly). Of course we also have that football league which I forgot the name of and I'm not sure if it's still going. There might even still be another football league? I was banned in one of them which was a shame but I see why. I still have a tiny bone to pick about that. However, there are a half dozen other bigger simulation leagues but nothing will compete with the VHL. It's the almighty dollar and the other leagues suck and are trash or run awkwardly.

1. I think we are making strides, but as a young team we are still learning the in's and out's of the roster and the league. 2. Because they feed off each others energy. All three bring a great work ethic to the rink 3. His composure. He is teaching me a lot about keeping my cool under pressure and performing in times where you least expect something to happen. 4. Bag skates. Weird right? But they help conditioning and its the main reason why we keep up to teams. 5. Interstellar because its the best movie ever made 6. I would like to see heated seats in the theatre room and maybe those cleaning sprays they have for equipment in our stalls.

1. I spent time training and getting ready to showcase my talents to potential VHLM GM's 2. I have hired a diet coach to help me stay in shape and prep me for the grind of the season. 3. I feel like we might have a target on our backs but us new guys don't feel the pressure as much. 4. I actually haven't even found a place to live right now so my sole focus is finding accommodation haha 5. New Jersey and because I grew up watching them every second night on the boob tube. 6. Interstellar. I love the way it was filmed and the plot behind it.

I recreated a player for the umpteenth time. I feel like I used to know that process off by heart, but since it's on the portal now it's even easier. I remember when I created Joey Kendrick back before Season 1 and it was somewhat of a guinea pig creation for the site. I was the tenth member but volunteered in the GM Forum to go through a Create-A-Player process (only to have it deleted later because we were testing). Well it's in the mid seventies for seasons now, but I decided to go back to my roots and create another defensemen. I have created the most at that position in my history and had the most success with them in my history. Here is hoping my recreate can be a pillar for some team in the future and team up with some old faces and some new young bucks trying to carve out their legacies in the VHL. This league is very strong right now and I couldn't be more proud of how far we've come as a league, forum and tech nerds. I hope everyone is enjoying the process through the portal and it allows things to be streamlined for you. I know this eliminates some human error and gone are the days where updaters had to go into each player thread and manually approved each update. 2021 is so trendy right now...

Okay so you're sitting there wondering how on earth can 2020 get an ODE over me? Well it's no offence to anyone here (you probably are on my list of people anyways). I thought I would just stop and take a second to reflect. 2020 was a tough year for many including myself. I saw hurt, pain and loss much like a lot of people. At the same time I gained knowledge, I gained perspective and I gained the ability to say "I used to be ignorant to that, but now I have been educated by proper sources" a lot more than the past. The world saw some eye opening responses to a huge divide in social, racial and religious patterns. We saw a man pose as someone trying to help a country and claiming he knew more than science. We saw our planet showing us what would happen if we shut things down. We saw many species come back from extinction and we also saw health care workers perform under extreme pressure. To those of us that lost someone I hope you feed some peace somewhere in their story. To the members we lost because of reasons like COVID or other health concerns, we enjoy our time in their honour. So yes 2020 wasn't as planned, but we sure as hell are a resilient group and 2021 needs our strength!
